I miss this show. My family used to watch it every time we went to the park. It's how I learned about the concept of an audience plant as a child, lol.
@@TheWanderers99 Yes exactly! Once you're old enough to understand it, you know exactly what to look out for, but it was a heck of a shock the first time I saw it as a 8-year-old lol.
@@TheWanderers99 His name was always Rodney, from Tasmania. 😆 I also used to watch this show every time we visited when I was a kid in the late 90's, I once even got selected as the child audience member to stand on the road and blow the whistle. 😄 Anyway, of all the times I saw the show, 99.9% of the time his name was Rodney from Tasmania, and the police captain always said to him: "I bet you've never seen so many people in the one place, that you aren't related too." 😂🤣 Guess they changed that last line by 2008. 😆 There also used to be a spot at 17:33 after Rodney and his girlfriend enter the Blue Oyster Bar, where Rodney would fire a pistol out the window above at the robbers, only to have an officer slam the window closed on him and take his arm off. 😆 It would then be somehow magically reattached when he stumbles out later for the explosive tool shed spot. Anyway such a shame this is gone now. When I last visited in 2018, it had been replaced with a bland stunt show with the cars spinning around, a jump or two, and zero storyline or audience interaction. 😢 P.S: The heat from that fireball at the end from the exploding chopper, on a hot Queensland summer day, was absolutely insane. 🔥🥵
My friend mad Mike used to work the comedy in the crowd. He ended up at dreamworld doing AVPX when I met him properly and on off days, I used to come into the park and help him out. A brilliant comedian and a great person.
Oh wow I remember him doing comedy as the crowd was loading into the stadium, he was the best!! From memory, he was there for ages. Things weren’t the same after he left.

His antics with Asian tourists would probably be considered racist and inappropriate these days, but as a kid I absolutely adored it! ❤️😆 He would always find an Asian tourist family, offer to take a photo for them with their expensive late 90's camera, then switch the camera with a prop, and pretend to drop it on the concrete, on the track, or find some other humorous way to completly destroy it. 😂🤣 The poor tourists would always panic and freak out, till he pulled out their real camera and returned it to them to laughs and hugs from the tourists. It was usually the last gag he did before the female officer came out to address the audience and start the show. 😆 P.P.P.S: I heard they auctioned off these old Los Angeles style police cruisers a few years back. I definitely couldn't afford it, but I would have loved to purchase one of them. They don't make cars like that anymore. 😢
