I don't think a lot of people understand and appreciate this insane time signature. Even though "death metal" happens to be their genre of choice, these guys are still amazing musicians and composers.
I’ve said this for years. Nu metal, for me, was a lot of trash bands that were lackluster and just record label created, top 40 style music for the radio. BUT…mudvayne was/is WAY DIFFERENT. You can tell from first time you listen to them that these guys aren’t some watered down musicians looking pretty for an MTV video..these guys are the real deal and serious musicians. I always found them to be so much deeper, complex, and intricate than their contemporaries. Somehow they’re able to walk the fine mine of nu metal and being incredibly complex in their playing. Extremely talented for sure, each and everyone one of them in the band
A song that's not just a banger, but also an inspirational song, for that in midst of its heavy, chaotic melody lies the message of never giving up, no matter the odds.
They hold a special place in my heart. Everyone's so talented, but Ryan's bass play is like the heartbeat of the band.

LYRICS:
Always known in all my lifetime
A little left of center and now
Reflect as I realize
That all I need is to find
The middle pillar path to sit like the sun by a star in the sky and just be
Sinners, casting stones at me
I, I stand
Not crawling, not falling down
I, I bleed
The demons that drag me down
I, I stand (for nothing)
Not crawling (the center), not falling down (of calms within the eye)
I, I'll bleed (for no one)
The demons (but myself) that pull me down (for me and no one else)
Goodbye, sunshine
I've put it out again (sad)
I'm over personalities conflicting
I don't need you or anyone but me
I'll just be living my own life
I feel my glowing, center grow
Infecting, I feel alive
Shovel dirt over lime
Plant it in myself to sit like a seed, under covers of earth and just be
Sinners, pointing fingers at me
I, I stand (for nothing)
Not crawling (by myself), not falling down
I, I'll bleed (for no one)
The demons (but myself) that drag me down
I, I stand (for nothing)
Not crawling (the center), not falling down (of calms within the eye)
I, I'll bleed (for no one)
The demons (but myself) that pull me down (for me and no one else)
Come play, kill (refuse my body, refuse my shadow)
Stone-cold will (refuse to lead this, refuse to follow)
Bitter pills (refuse to feed this, refuse to swallow, I'm fueled Godless)
Come play, come play
Just be
Just be
Just be
Just be
Just be
Just be
I, I stand (for nothing)
Not crawling (by myself), not falling down
I, I'll bleed (for no one)
The demons (but myself) that drag me down
I, I stand (for nothing)
Not crawling (the center), not falling down (of calms within the eye)
I, I'll bleed (for no one)

2021 and still headbanging
Love what they are wearing
This helps me though the tough times I'm going through currently
To this day I still haven't heard a song like this. That weird rhythm is so cool.
I love this song. The chaotic breakdown shortly after the 2 minute mark is the best part.
This Song Gives Me Power Young & Old Forever........ We Shall Not Falll.........
The bass sounds just glorious, and the drumming in the chorus mmmmmmm
This is an Audio Onslaught of the most incredible degree...talk about an excellent WALL OF SOUND...love it!
Never can get old .
Ghostship for the win ❤
Definitely the world's best movie.
Love
YOU ARE BACK! THANK YOU! Those times are pretty rough, but you just brought some positiv energy in.
I don't think a lot of people understand and appreciate this insane time signature. Even though "death metal" happens to be their genre of choice, these guys are still amazing musicians and composers.
This isn’t death metal at all....it’s called Nu-Metal. Look it up
@@rarehiphoparchive3721 ehhh I think it's more prog than nu metal, or nwoahm
@@williamvancourt528 alt-metal
@@Deetroiter there are a lot of good nu metal bands but also a lot of awful ones its a very polarising subgenre
That bass, martinie is a god
Fucking love mudvayne! Release the next album I know it's cooking!!
We need these guys more than ever this year and we all miss them sooooo much
We got em!
@@Mr-Divine awesome
The bass drum in this song hits different, it has its own dimension
A song that's not just a banger, but also an inspirational song, for that in midst of its heavy, chaotic melody lies the message of never giving up, no matter the odds.
10/10 soundtrack & movie
i miss u Mudvayne!!!
Hellyeah is it's replacement
@@patrickperry8951 they cant be replaced
