    I didn’t even know dry refreshing was a thing! I will definitely try this.. rewetting or misting my hair makes it SO frizzy. But I do lose a ton of definition at night because I move around so much though

    Oh my gosh, thank you for this. My curls seem similar to yours and don’t like a wet refresh. When I used to straighten my hair I could wake up, brush, and go. I realize there’s more work with curly but I’d like to cut down the time each morning as much as possible. So, thank you.

    Love a dry refresh! I usually use a leave in. The best thing is that because there’s no drying time to speak of, I do it when I get to work, so I can deal with any fuzziness from the commute (walking + bus). I carry a little travel size of leave in in my bag at all times! Although my day 4 hair never looks this good! It’s gorgeous! 😍

    Thank you! thank you! I've been trying to refresh with water and it doesn't work!! I've tried misting my hair. I've tried using more water. I've tried various products with the refresh wetting process and without fail, I end up with gross stringy flat frizzy curls. Ironically I USED to do a dry refresh, but when I told my sister and sister in law that I never rewet my hair to refresh, they gave me an astounded look. They both have much thicker curlier hair than me, but it made me think I was doing it wrong. Now I'm realizing that nope, I knew my hair and what it needed. Thanks!

    My hair is fine with a looser wave pattern. It's always a challenge to refresh my hair without a product weighing it down and causing build-up. So far, the only thing that has helped is dampening my hair and then applying a foam to my strands and pixie diffusing. I recently got thr treluxe products and may need to try this, even if I do need to dampen my hair a little.

    What do you do when you wake up in the morning and your hair is really tangled? You obviously don’t want to brush out the tangles. My hair isn’t really curly, it’s more of a wavy with some curl. If I put mousse or gel in it then refresh, will it be sticky and heavy?

    Tried a damp refresh today, like you did in your other video, using Cantu curling creme. it's a bit rich for my hair, i think. It looks great, but feels a bit sticky. Will try a different, more light weight product next time. Will see if I can find the one you recommended in this video, here in Ireland.
    But already, it looks better than when i wet it, plus it's much quicker to dry so, if I have to do this in the morning before I leave the house, it's perfect.

      Marisa’s Curls i wonder if it’s because my hair is colored and longer (I use a super wide-tooth comb so it’s akin to finger combing). It really looks like a nest if I don’t, then I lightly dampen my hair and use LuLu’s lubricant to refresh. 🥰🥰

    • @MarisasCurls
      @MarisasCurls  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Maybe not a very hard hold gel, something lighter and runnier works better for a dry refresh. But if you want to use a regular gel then check out my #marisasrefresh damp refresh video which is linked the description. A curl cream or leave in works well for this sort of dry refresh

  • @robynklatt7344
    @robynklatt7344 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    When you refresh are you using the same product as on wash day? Also how do you sleep? Pineapple stretches out my curls too much. If I use a silk bonnet I’m just stuffing my hair in. My hair is the same length as yours.

    • @MarisasCurls
      @MarisasCurls  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t match up refresh products with washday products no. I use a buff to protect my curls at night along with a silk pillowcase. It works so well! I have a couple of videos on overnight curl protection on my channel here

    Great video. Day 4! That it's my dream. My scalp gets so oily that at the moment I am reaching OK to Day 3.
    I was so convinced to try this since I think my hair needs a product to seal the moisture. Now that I have seen it in action, I am doubtful to try it. So here it is my question: Do you know any other serum (with water-soluble silicone and protein) which may work as a sealer or do you think this product will work for this purpose!? X

    • @MarisasCurls
      @MarisasCurls  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you mean to seal your dry hair? I love this product as a curl enhancer and as dry refresh. I don’t know of another serum particularly but an oil blend might do the job, it’s not going to have protein in it though.

    • @Larea81
      @Larea81 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This product didn’t work well for me, but my hair is quite particular it seems. @Coffeecurlygirl loves it too, so it might work great for you. I have the best luck with a flaxseed based gel, especially MySoigne. For my oily scalp, I love using the HairDance dry shampoo too (it prevents oils best for me when applied each night before bed).

    • @Chicamuychic
      @Chicamuychic 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MarisasCurls I meant on wash day when styling with the hair quite wet. I am finding that custard or gel is doing that job for me at the moment, but I wonder if anything else could work as a sealer/last layer. Maybe I am thinking on something that will break the cast!? Will this product work!? X

    • @MarisasCurls
      @MarisasCurls  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Janet Barra on washday I have been liking the Treluxe Hi Definition gel layered over this serum to get a good cast. I usually break the cast with a drop or 2 of oil on my hands.
