This video accurately depicts the 4 types of people watching eurovision: danielle as the one who dances along, the girl in the blue top is the one who doesn’t know what’s happening but loves it, the girl in grey is just clueless, and the girl in yellow is the avid eurovision fan who tries to play it cool but in reality we know she knows EVERYTHING
It was very sweet, and the girl in yellow actually knew by heart half if not all of the songs :D. Especially visible with Ukraine's Heart of Steel - started to sing along right away :D.
@@randomamericansescreaction1590 they sing live but the instruments are pre recorded. The Slovenian band (Joker Out) spoke/joked about it in one of their videos 😊
I find it low key sad that so many people never noticed the hand sign in the performance, at some point after they lined up the handsign for domestic abuse was shown and literally no one reacting noticed
Slovenia deserved better!! The joy those guys brought to everyone was amazing and their song was good I love Bojan's voice I'm glad they were in some of your top 5s
All 6 girls are Vesna, the 3 that aren't singing are usually playing instruments but since you can't have live instruments on stage anyways, they made them act as dancers
My top 5 on the night were: 1-Finland, 2-Australia, 3-Germany, 4-Serbia, 5-Moldova. Actual songs I listened to most since the final were 1-Finland, 2-Australia (so no change there!), but then: 3-Norway, 4-Czechia, 5-Austria. And most of all I listened to Moldova´s song from 2022, because let´s face it, it absolutely tops everything else, including Cha Cha Cha.
My favourite to win was Norway, such a fantastic song, she's very talented, her vocals are amazing and the staging was spectacular !! I loved Israel, Finland and Sweden too, but Norway was on another level for me 🇳🇴🔥❤️
Norway wasn't my fav song but I do think she deserved more, had she not messed up in the jury show. She did so much better in the finals, too bad that's not what the jury vote on.
I managed to get tickets to the final so I was in the arena. Honestly thought there might have been a riot when Finland didn't win. Graham and Hannah having to calm us down because we were shouting Kaarija so loudly was honestly such a vibe. I feel really bad for Mae Muller, maybe it's just because I'm from the UK but we deserved so much better. Although I wanted Finland to win, Sweden and Loreen is the rightful winner and deserved it just as much
Agreed completely...I hate to see the bickering between some Käärijä and Loreen fans, because ultimately they both won. And while I can nderstand the disappointment of the audience/televoters because ofc they feel their votes should count more than jury votes instead of them being 50-50 equal. Maybe that will change now in the future. Anyhow even as Finn Im just happy Käärijä and Cha Cha Cha became as popular as they were...I never, ever thought I would see the day when Finnish song with Finnish lyrics would get that much hype and love...just utter wild and crazy times. But Loreen does deserve respect and love too, she truly is one of a kind performer and wonderful human being. Im just glad they got 1-2, even ofc as Finn it would have been great to see FInland take its 2nd ever Eurovision victory, but I cant honestly feel bad for Loreen's victory, she really is such wonderful performer and incredibly funny and charming woman if you have seen some of her interviews One thing I really want to see next year is Loreen and Käärijä performing together at Eurovision 2024 opening or half time when they are counting votes, whatever, but I want to see them both on stage there :D
I'm sorry for the UK. She was my second favourite. However, her voice wasn't enough for the song and I don't understand why but she dressed up like she was at a funeral.
@@BalnazzardiI'm glad to hear this. I'm Swedish and I was rooting for Käärijä so I was a bit sad he didn't win. But I'm also happy for Loreen. Everyone online has made me feel like a piece of shit for just being Swedish and accepting the results, but I'm glad there are people (and especially Finns) out there who accept it too. I feel like the jury needs less power but there's no reason to fight any of the performers. If people are really so mad about the televote they should complain to the EBU and get them to change it.
It's not really Eurovision unless toxic fans get mad after the final 😂😅 Last year everyone wanted the televote gone because of Ukraine's win, this year everyone wants the jury gone because of Sweden's win! It never makes sense. As Let3 from Croatia famously said this year, in Eurovision there are no losers! ❤ so let's stop the hate
Ye I mean ppl will always find something to complain about. But it can be valid argumen to say that atleast televoting should matter more than jury votes like maybe 60% televotes and 40% jury votes. Because after all the audience is actually paying to get to vote
There has to be jury reform at least. Always favoring pop and ballad songs. This year it was so obvious they favoured Loreen disregarsing other even more amazing acts.
@@OrcaWhale00 It's the audience that makes it a meme, so.... it's like saying it's not a worthy song because it's popular xD I mean Cha Cha Cha has more of a message than Tattoo for sure. There are multiple great songs, but inevitably there will be one or few that really claim the moment. 18x12 points from the televote whereas first place got none, shows a disconnect. Oh and Croatia was definitely deserving of points but the juries snubbed them completely, glad the public were more aware.
@@saturated3821 No way you just said cha cha cha has a deeper message than tattoo?? Cha cha cha is about finnish people needing alcohol after a week to just calm down. What exactly is deep about something the majority of the world does? Tattoo is connected to Loreen’s Moroccan roots and it tells a story about how evil the world can be and her mindset in those times is to just remain full of love and not focus on the negative ones while also giving us multiple nordic connections. As for the televotes, I get that cha cha cha got 1st place, but why are you ignoring the fact that Loreen was 2nd?? It’s not like the jury voted for the most hated act of the year and Finland purposely refused to vote for Loreen so Kaarija would have a better chance of winning while the majority of Finland’s 12 points came from Sweden. If the Finns were actually playing fair then Loreen would have won the televotes as well. You can’t cry about the juries being rigged and completely ignore that the televotes were as well
My Top 5 from the Grand Final ! 1. 🇫🇮 Finland 💚💚💚 2. 🇦🇺 Australia 3. 🇷🇸 Serbia 4. 🇲🇩 Moldova 5. 🇨🇿 Czech Rep. (6-10: Germany, Sweden, Slovenia, Belgium, Spain) so Loreen was in my Top 10 and I'm happy for her, just much less happy for ANOTHER sweden win. augghhh boring, esp when the people wanted Käärijä to win so bad and i just think it would've been so much more interesting and exciting!! but you definitely shouldn't have to feel bad for cheering for Loreen-not only is she only the second person to have ever won esc twice (and the first was a white dude), but like you said she's a woman of colour, and also openly bi!!!! so like, incredible. it's just unfortunate this was how it happened, with the juries giving her an unbeatable lead meanwhile in the televote she didn't get a single country's 12 pts meanwhile finland got 18 of them....
Personally i would also have prefered Finland to win. If i would have something to say i would make the next ESC in Sweden in Cooperation with Finland and bring the people back together this way. I mean they are neighbouring countries so it is not that hard to do this and we could get Cha Cha Cha again in the next ESC final. But to put hate on Loreen is definitely not the way to go. She did her best and even IF the Jury vote really was rigged in some way she was surely not in on that. And No i don't believe it was rigged.
Idk if we should co-host, but I definitely think Käärijä deserves at least one interval act. He would put on such a big show, it would be great. I genuinely hope the Swedish production team invites him asap.
21:11 honestly what annoyed me more was the fact that so many nice songs landed on such an undeserving low place. armenia or austria are good examples for this. like what was the deal there??? i guess having so many nice songs in one year makes it hard because it's hard to decide if you are happy with the results or not
You def need to check out the runner-up Finland. Eurovision attracts all types of music - ballads, pop, rock, ethnic, and other stuff you’ve never seen before (like grandmas singing while baking bread - no kidding!!!). Enjoy!
You words at the end of the video, thank you for these! I actually had to take a few days off of socials after the final because of all the negativity. Don‘t get it and it‘s been as worse as never before this year. I hope it won‘t get even worse in the next year because how did we get from so much love leading to Eurovision week to so much hate. Loved the video, loved watching the reactions!
Finland honestly did well with the juries for being a very not jury type of song. Norway did badly because the jury performance was pretty terrible. They vote on vocals and hers were just bad.
@@imohsamuel4997 Finland vocals were not the best but suited for the song and he sang the song as always. Norway was supposed to sound better but her performance for juries went terrible (plus Norway show was just boring) ;p Thats the difference. No wonder that those 2 lose with Sweden in jury voting... Loreen vocal skills were just on another level.
I wanted Loreen to win too x Out of all the songs this year hers and Norways song will stand the rest of time in my opinion x My top 5 songs this year in order were: 1. Sweden 2. Norway 3. Austria 4. Finland 5. Belgium Israel would be my 6th place x
How was Norway not on any of your lists?! It's the best song we've had in years :O. And it did make it into the top 5. I deny the existence of the jury points. Finland was my winner for sure. CHA CHA CHA!!
Fellow Loreen stannnn! I am so glad you spoke out against the sheer hateful atmosphere that has been around because it is... a lot. This video though as a whole was a delight!
Such a fun video My top 5 were 1. France 2. Armenia 3. Australia 4. Sweden 5. Serbia But this was before the show! Israel and Finland ended up being my favourite performances! I was living and I'm so happy they came second and third ❤❤
The arena chanting CHA CHA CHA was the win for me 😁 Käärijä got us the second highest televote points ever given to anyone, only Ukraine last year taking the cake. (and another country has also got the same points as we sometime before, so technically it's a shared second place haha) Swedens win just felt boring, like it was already clear before the whole show even started (and imo past winners shouldn't be allowed to enter anyway) BUUUT it is what it is and atleast my country won't have to pay for eurovision next year lol. I know Sweden will put up a beautiful show, just hoping it won't be all about abba and also i don't want to see Zelmerlöw anymore thanks
The way I know you didn't have the same energy all the other times winners came back to Eurovision but all flopped. Suddenly it's a crime when Loreen does it.
@@OrcaWhale00 nah i honestly think past winners shouldn't re-enter, ever since Lena tried it,..(i was little back then and that's the first example i remember) i think they'll usually just embarrass themselves and migh even ruin their career a bit.. Even Alexander Rybak who was a total charmer when he won but when sent again it just felt cringe and super fake y'know..? Sure loreen's song this year was better than those examples but her og winning song was also way better than anything really😅 it can't be topped. In my opinion Tattoo is pretty generic but that's how she got all the jury votes anyway haha. However tbf she didn't ruin her career by re-entering so I'm glad for her
@@apet6752 Yes most of them did flop, but their careers remained untouched. If you're an actual artist outside of ESC, competing in it is usually a big career drop so most of the people that come back usually don't have a big following outside the competition. Loreen for example is a legend in the ESC world, but her following isn't that big. After Lena won, her career never took off until after she entered again, then she started being more popular and everything got better. I don't think there should be any limit on who can and can't enter because that's a pretty stupid limitation. It's like saying actors shouldn't be allowed to come back for sequels or make any movies after they've had their breakthrough. If people don't like the person returning, that person won't go to eurovision as they won't even pass the national competitions.
@@OrcaWhale00 yeah, i get that.. I guess I'd just like to see more new artists(=no international names) enter, because it's more interesting and fun plus an equal opportunity / fair shot for everyone. Finland tried sending The Rasmus last year and it was so embarrassing to me lmao though i don't really think Eurovision can be compared to other things, it's so different from everything.. like it's not as if you win a gold medal in sports once you can't ever run again or something 😄 Acting and other careers like that are the same and can't really be compared to entering eurovision either.. (i don't watch the voice but i would imagine past winners don't go back on there either.. Maybe that show works similarly to what I'd want in that aspect..?) But yeah i guess we can't really start limiting people's access to the contest.. I guess it just feels dumb to me lol. In the end it just depends on who gets chosen from each country and sometimes it's a past winner 🤷♀️
@@apet6752 Yeah exactly I agree with Eurovision being different from everything. The only case in which past winners shouldn’t be allowed is in those countries that don’t have national competitions but internal selections as then it’s not the people wanting them, it’s most likely greedy bosses. But yeah if there is a national competition and a past winner wins again, then it just tells us that the people want them to represent their country
This afternoon is such a core memory for me now, ilysm. Also never forget I WILL ALWAYS BE HERE TO WATCH EVERY VIDEO you’re so talented and HILARIOUS dani 🩷
Thank you for inviting us to hang with you and your friends. I agree we all should be more relaxed about who won and so on. But it was fun watching you guys (all) stand up at the moment the results were announced 😂😂 Great deal of fun. 🎉🎉
I was actually rooting for Loreen, but her win just didn’t seem right. Having 200 or whatever jury people get to decide who should win instead of MILLIONS of voters seems unfair to me, so even though Sweden was my favorite, this was supposed to be Finlands night.
Wait, I didn't notice they removed the smoke for Armenia. It's a good thing though cause that literally blocked Brunette during her dance break. Edit: Also, did you know that people outside Europe can vote now? It's called the "Rest of the World" Vote yet you have to pay to vote in the Eurovision app.
I was waiting for this vid. I voted for loads of countries but the main ones I cheered for were Slovenia 🇸🇮. Armenia 🇦🇲, Czechia 🇨🇿, Cyprus 🇨🇾, Serbia 🇷🇸, Switzerland 🇨🇭 and Germany 🇩🇪. Of course Sweden 🇸🇪 was also one of my faves but I knew that she’d win so I didn’t vote for her. I also loved Finland 🇫🇮 and I am so glad he did so well. Sending you ❤️ from Australia 🇦🇺!
Congratulations to the U.K. for hosting such a wonderful extravaganza on behalf of Ukraine and well done the City of Liverpool for embracing the heart and emotions of Ukrainian.
Greetings from Finland. This reaction video was a good one, and also quite telling. Again, most of you had Finland as one of the favourites. When Sweden won in Liverpool, Swedes wanted to congratulated and got hurt, because people were chanting cha cha cha, cha cha cha. Loreen was not hurt and understood the situation quite well, but... that would not help at that moment: Loreen fans got hurt, and there was a lot of bitter comments from the winners. Käärijä was sad to lose, but he moved on and has given very profound, touching and emotional interviews to the media about the past 9-10 months or so, from the time when Cha cha cha was made to the point when he had arrived back to Finland after Liverpool. Swedes were demanding apologies from Finns also because we, Finnish audience, did not grant Tattoo any televotes this year. Obviously it has been thought to be orchestrated, a conspiracy. But how would that matter at this point: Sweden had already won, and still Swedes, the fans being bitter - winners? As ESC is a contest, in the end it will be about points that matter like in so many sports. ESC is kind of a talent show, but the criteria by which people find their favourites are unclear, what comes to the juries. What comes to the personal preferences, they are just as unclear, but big audience is harder to manipulate than a smaller group like a 5-member jury. Finns supported Käärijä but I do not admit giving my points to other countries to annul Sweden. I had my own preferences as a Finn: Australia, Czechia and France. Those were the ones that I voted, but actually I have started to like Norway again. Finns gave votes to Australia and Czechia big time, Norway being our favourite. Tattoo is a good pop song, but there were several issues that bothering me from their own national final on: Swedes audience was giving pretty much the same to other Swedish participants Käärijä fans were giving Loreen in ESC final. Each time Loreen got points from anywhere, the arena went crazy. When someone else got points: "clap". I was already then pretty sure that Tattoo is made for the charts and it will succeed. Also I was pretty sure for the hype it was receiving because it was Loreen who is making a come back, that it will also win. But the song structure is very much like Loreen's previous winner Euphoria. Had the song been in ESC 2013 a year after Euphoria won, juries would have judged it differently. Still the fans could have loved the song, and it is ok, but since one of the most important criterias that juries should be looking at is "originality", the orchestration was original, but song structure was not. It was serving a cake that we already had eaten, but perhaps some of people had forgotten it, or they just willingly wanted to "forget the possibility" the songwriters and copyring/plagiarising their own songs. The lyrics and hooks are bleak, and Ukrainian former ESC entry's Mika Newton's song В плену / Tatoo might be a good comparison: th-cam.com/video/v8wuuCkHkds/w-d-xo.html You may find a curious similarity in her song and Tattoo. Which makes Tattoo even more unoriginal. Juries have given their votes, and juries have vandalised even Finnish national finals, so we know what it is like. We already knew. And how would juries know about all the songs in the world, or how would audience know. Well probably better than the juries because in the audience there will be probably more musicians and experts from different countries valuing songs, more than the five jury members from each country. Loreen gave a powerful performance and she is a great singer. If it was a singing and performing contest, she deserved the win. For me the song was never enough original and catchy. And many other Finns felt the same way. It was also too painful with all the tears and angels and wanting to be loved, that we obviously preferred other types of strenght in the songs: Norway, Czechia, Australia. Sweden sunk to the thirteenth in Finnish televotes. And I assure, we have a very good idea of Swedish pop songs. We have been watching Swedish songwriters and songs upwards, appreciating them, adoring them, always being kind of underdogs or disciples. I have five ABBA albums, two from Ace of Base, two from Roxette, one from E-Type, several other Swedish albums, so I know the Swedish hit pattern like many Finns do. And it was obvious that Finns just thought Tattoo was too weak and unoriginal song to really make an impact to us. None of the countries gave full 12 points in the televotes to Finland making Sweden the first country ever winning ESC without getting any 12 points from televotes. It still won with a big margin. And good for Loreen and Sweden. Finland however has been a rising powerhouse of songwriting during the past few years. World is not quite seeing it yet, but we just have to keep on working and improving, producing more songs that Finns like, that will make it well on Finnish charts. If we like our own ESC entry, it will probably do quite well also in ESC. Blind Channel became one of the biggest hits few years ago, sadly last year's biggest hit BESS - Ram pam pam did not get to represent us, but this year Käärijä's Cha cha cha crushed any other contestant, and is not hitting big only in Finnish charts but also all around the world.
Funny how you see it from your point of view. As a Swede, Loreen was immediately attacked as soon as she won and conspiracy theories have been flourishing since the jury vote that Sweden had to win because of Abba's 50th anniversary (???) or because Martin Österdahl forced the juries to do it, like wtf. At the same time, Swedes got mad that Käärijä didn't win and have been flooding news outlets' comments section saying just that, while said "news sections" (actually tabloids) have been making jabs at Finland for no reason. The facts are these: Swedish jury and audience gave Finland 12 points each, 24 in total. Sweden wanted Finland to win. Finnish jury gave Sweden 12 points. Either the Finnish jury is working against Finland winning in this whole ~conspiracy~ or the juries are just biased towards pop music (which is the case). Meanwhile, the Finnish audience gave Sweden 0 points. This has several reasons, obviously because the Finns are smart and won't vote for their biggest competitor (no conspiracy there, just Finns being Finns and hating Sweden lol) and also because the song simply didn't resonate with Finns. Even though we're neighbours, Finland and Sweden are different in so many ways. And any way you look at it, this isn't an issue with the performers or the songs or the countries - it's a jury issue. Their bias towards simple music is a detriment to unique acts. Give the jury less power or change their voting requirements. Tell that to the EBU and maybe it'll change. They tried only televote with the semis this year so they are definitely open to the change.
@@thespankmyfrank well its unfortunate both ways....because in the end, both Loreen and Käärijä won and considering how great the two artists got along its sad to see the fans and some Swedes-Finns going agaisnt one another about it. You should always put things in perspective like how much Käärijä and Finland gained from this. And ye I honestly was actually bit surprised that Finnish citizens were so united with not giving Loreen even a single point, which I actually felt kind of bad about considering how much Swedes loved Käärijä. But at the same time you have to kind of understand this tactical voting because ofc Finns wanted Käärijä to win now that Finland had chance for it for the first time after Lordi won in 2006. So I hope Swedes can forgive that. Any other year if Finns felt like our artist could not do well we likely would have given Loreen our votes like we did in 2012 with Euphoria. So ye for my part I want to say again that Loreen deserved her win, its not her fault that jury votes and audience votes matter the same amount. Objectively speaking Loreen was the best singer of the competition, hands down.
This story you wrote here says really more about you than Sweden. Just by watching Loreens song and all videos with her anyone can see how this "hate train" against Loreen and Sweden started after her win. All the hate, insulting, blaming and accusations . And most of those comments come from finns. No one from Sweden was angry and sad because People in the arena were chearing käärijä and no one really cares that the finns did not give Sweden 12 points. That was only an observation.
It has never been about Loreen. She is a fantastic performer. It is about songwriting, the song itself. As ESC is a song contest, it is about songwriting, and not only about the performance or performer. And artists like songwriters and performers are the one who handle the critics. If it is about fans, and supporters of either Sweden or Finland, then you are only up to a big mess. It is not about you, Loreen, Sweden winning... nor about Käärijä, and Finland losing. From my part or from Käärijä's part, it may seem bitter, but Finns handle those things, like: "same shit, different day." And we'll be over with in a day or two. ESC has showed weaknesses in voting system before, it has showed also that it prefers quite generic, not so progressive pop or any other genre songs, not too weird songs, but it prefers songs that are quite generic and end up sounding like a song that already has won. Which as an ESC follower is a pity, because if it was not a combined vote: jury + audience, we'd be hearing the same kind of songs winning each year. And alredy this year it was quite obvious, which song will be jury favourite. And predictability is not a good thing for creativity and originality. If you get emotional over what I write about the song, then you are not really getting the point and you are the wrong person to react.
So please get over with it, because Loreen won. And there is nothing that will change that, not any personal opinion, not mine nor yours. But you can still carry on with the "hate train" of yours if you like.
It's weird to watch other broadcasts of Eurovision. In Finland we have subtitles for all songs. I have heard that some other country also does same but not sure what country it is.
What an amazing show this year in Liverpool! Coming into the Grand Final, I was rooting for Sweden to win too! But I also like Armenia/Spain/Portugal/Austria/France. ❤❤❤
people aren't mad at sweden they're mad at the juries for always rewarding banality and generic english pop songs over unique and original songs in other languages from other genres. people pay a lot of money to vote and finland got the second highest audience score in history but the juries ignored him so hard and gave sweden so much points he never stood a chance. people are allowed to be mad at that. and considering loreen already won once before it just seems unfair.
Wanted Finland to win so badly 🔥 And didn’t expect so many votes from public for our Bejba 🇵🇱 This reminds me watching Oscars, it is morning in EU by the time it is finished 😂
The best song in the final for me was Austria, best dance song. Their semi vocal was even better. The dancers weren't integrated well enough on stage. But I believe it is a song that will last, more than other more hyped entries.
I was quite amazed by the level this year, there were so much great songs and performances! My favourite were in no particular order: Czechia, Austria, Sweden, Australia, Norway and Armenia. Also I'm very curious about how the people can be so angry that Sweden won but Loreen won nothing in particular other than the right to host the contest in the country she represented. We saw last year that a good score is not needed for a song to be successful. So yes I really think we should just be happy about the great quality of the songs and artists this year.
very true! people always forget Eurovision isn't about winning, sure it's fun to root for a country and have that country do well but it should be about the unification of the continent through music
People are making it out to be some conspiracy because Sweden will now be hosting for the 50th anniversary of the ABBA win. I could get on board with that if they had sent anyone other than Loreen. Finland would have won against anyone but her.
@@MandaPanda-ex3wc Which is why I completely understand why Finns are so bummed. They never get the chance to win, maybe once every 20 years they get even top 5 potential. And the year they finally have a shot at winning, Sweden, who wins every other year, sends fucking Loreen lmao

Even though I like Käärijä, my favourite was Sweden and she won. I'm glad that she won because her song will probably be global in the future but If Käärijä won, I wouldn't say the same thing for him. And I don't appreciate the reactions to Loreen in the Grand final and on social media. Whatever the result is remember that it's just a song contest. People rehearse, work hard, spend money and time on the songs. Everyone deserves to be appreciated.
of course, im a finn and no one should hate on loreen because she ended up winning. but you gotta admit the jury voting was pretty shady and needs a change. there has never been such a lead between 1st and 2nd place - 340 p versus 177 p ??? some acts like norway, who did so amazing with televotes had no chance competing with sweden because of the 300 point difference given by jury. people are mad and for a reason, but im sad that loreen is the subject of all the frustration. meanwhile the people spend "money" on the acts, people also spend money on the votes and they were totally nullified by jury this year. ive seen many comments saying they had to sacrifice their votes for finland and norway because no other country had a chance to compete with sweden's jury favorism, thats why the televotes werent balanced with other countries this year. its not the first year this has happened, but definitely the first year something clearly should change.
@@allitusI was a bit shocked by Norway too until I saw her jury show performance. She just didn't sound good, she was clearly tired and the second verse (the "run the game, run the game" part) was atrocious. I agree that the jury is too biased, they need to change the jury so it awards unique songs more and not just radio friendly pop music. Spain was another one that deserved more, I can't explain why that one lost so many votes other than it was nobody's favourite and it competed with France and even Sweden for the same type of audience. Overall, the jury definitely needs to change to be more inclusive.
@@thespankmyfrank this 🙏🙏 tattoo wasnt by any means bad but it didnt offer anything from sweden, meanwhile other countries had something to give - was it language, cultural insight, colorful performance, history ... sweden was just plain beige. i can see why people hyped for loreen, but it missed the string that connected it to sweden. spain was highly underrated, the whole performance vocals included were perfect so i dont get what the jury was thinking (although i admit, it wasnt a song i would put on my playlist although the performance was very impressive). they should have clear rules to follow, not just vote because of peer pressure.
@@allitus I agree with you. Every year the jury robs many songs. In 2003-2009 (I'm not sure about the exact year) there weren't any jury votes, just televote and guess what, we have 6 new winner countries( Turkey, Ukraine, Greece, Finland, Serbia, Russia). Then jury votes were added and Germany won the contest in 2010 (what a surprise), there were more than 60 points between the runner-up, Turkey. Still most people say that Turkey was robbed. And today's Eurovision unfortunately small countries like Balkan countries don't have any chance to win the contest.
@@lacivertcikolata yep, jury is definitely political to some extend although it shouldnt, because they are professionals for crying out loud. the country shouldnt matter, just the performance. its ironic, when you think about it, that this is the second time finland would had won without jury votes, and all due having a performance that stick out from the mass. i feel like many countries gave sweden points also because it was LOREEN, eurovisions golden winner. and i feel really bad for her for winning again because now she is remembered as "undeserved winner" by many. she didnt deserve that.
I liked Italy (thank you Victoria for the Top5 and Alena for... jumping 😁🇮🇹), Spain, Czechia, Norway and Slovenia the most, with special mentions for Germany and Latvia with the latter that didn't even make to the Final. I'm probably out of the ESC "mechanism" (if there's one in the end...) so my preferences are not always aligned with the final result but still, I like what I like 😎 Nice video!
Tbh my issue is even with the second highest televote ever (first being ukraine in 20/21 tho would be inclined due to current events) screams that does the publics opinion eve matter. Like i do genuinely think loreen deserves it because her performance was great but i dont think it was fair for her to be in the competition in the first place as sweden was an antticipated winner since the start plus the usual shes an already an established popstar who has also won before.
Love Loreen! So glad Sweden won ❤❤❤! You have great taste! ❤️🇸🇪 from the UK 🇬🇧 Also, I agree with you in that people are weird. They're so pro-Fimland they hate on Sweden. But I loved both songs, I just think Sweden is art and Finland is a meme. Both good in their own rights but I would prefer art to win a competition for artists
Karja, Jocker out, The girls from Austria and Brunette were the best for me. I still love Chechia song but performance was not it. They could do so much more with the staging, costumes and performance overall. I don't hate Loreen but there were a lot of songs that deserved more points from jury. P. S. And I'm still mad that Jann didn't represent Poland in eurovision. This year was pretty weak and Gladiator would have chance to be in top 5.
I don't know if you answered that on another video or something, but I'm curious to know why don't you want to continue with the Eurovision reactions. Is it because of the toxic fans and the negativity they spread? :(
This video accurately depicts the 4 types of people watching eurovision:
danielle as the one who dances along,
the girl in the blue top is the one who doesn’t know what’s happening but loves it,
the girl in grey is just clueless,
and the girl in yellow is the avid eurovision fan who tries to play it cool but in reality we know she knows EVERYTHING
Haha you're forgetting the ones who have to be in the room but are constantly escaping (AKA my husband)
YES
It was very sweet, and the girl in yellow actually knew by heart half if not all of the songs :D. Especially visible with Ukraine's Heart of Steel - started to sing along right away :D.
Those six are Vesna but the three are not singing because they're the instrumentalists in the band.
ohhhh makes sense !!! thanks for clarifying
@@daniellesaha ur welcome! they're amazing. Glad they got top 10
so were they miming the vocals?
@@randomamericansescreaction1590 they sing live but the instruments are pre recorded. The Slovenian band (Joker Out) spoke/joked about it in one of their videos 😊
I find it low key sad that so many people never noticed the hand sign in the performance, at some point after they lined up the handsign for domestic abuse was shown and literally no one reacting noticed
The atmosphere in the arena when Finland performed was ethereal. Truly a moment.
Slovenia deserved better!! The joy those guys brought to everyone was amazing and their song was good I love Bojan's voice I'm glad they were in some of your top 5s
they were robbed
joker out was MEGA ROBBED
ROBBED I learned Slovenian 4 them
Finland, Norway, Austria, Australia, Germany
All 6 girls are Vesna, the 3 that aren't singing are usually playing instruments but since you can't have live instruments on stage anyways, they made them act as dancers
I actually didn't know that, but I like their choice. People miming playing instruments on stage is one of my biggest pet peeves with ESC lol.
And most of all I listened to Moldova´s song from 2022, because let´s face it, it absolutely tops everything else, including Cha Cha Cha.
omg as ukrainian i’m so happy that you liked our song because a lot of people were hating on it without a reason !! 💙💛
Finally! I was waiting for this video. I voted for Czechia and Slovenia. Greetings from Croatia, sending you much love 💞
We stan eurovision content, also
Mae Muller, Käärijä and Joker Out are icons.
My favourite to win was Norway, such a fantastic song, she's very talented, her vocals are amazing and the staging was spectacular !! I loved Israel, Finland and Sweden too, but Norway was on another level for me 🇳🇴🔥❤️
The Nordic this year is on 🔥🔥🔥
Sameeeeee!!!! I'm glad she got top 5 but I wanted her to win :((
Norway wasn't my fav song but I do think she deserved more, had she not messed up in the jury show. She did so much better in the finals, too bad that's not what the jury vote on.
Methinks you fancy Alessandra, Lonely Boyy...
My favorites were Sweden, Finland, Norway, Serbia and Czech Republic. I also liked Estonia and Lithuania very much
Thanks from Serbia! 🫶
My top 5 was (not in order) Finland (though it was obviously first), Ukraine, France, Belgium and Cyprus
Im just glad they got 1-2, even ofc as Finn it would have been great to see FInland take its 2nd ever Eurovision victory, but I cant honestly feel bad for Loreen's victory, she really is such wonderful performer and incredibly funny and charming woman if you have seen some of her interviews
One thing I really want to see next year is Loreen and Käärijä performing together at Eurovision 2024 opening or half time when they are counting votes, whatever, but I want to see them both on stage there :D
I'm sorry for the UK. She was my second favourite. However, her voice wasn't enough for the song and I don't understand why but she dressed up like she was at a funeral.
@@lacivertcikolata the way she looked wearing that silver long dress with the hair would have been amazing. They did say she’s been sick but still
Swedes lead the Eurovision organizations. You can check it out. This year they were too greedy and the vote scam was revealed to everyone.
Alena with Serbia, taste. I was lucky enough to get tickets and people in the arena went wild for Finland, Belgium and Australia.
Finland won our hearts and that's more important than Eurovision. I'm definitely visiting Finland this year and hopefully catching Kaarija's concert.
I am from Sweden but of course i voted for Finland - like most of us did
i love that you always decide to do these eurovision videos your own way! also yes vibing for armenia czechia and serbia!!
Alena when Finland comes on is just too cute of a reaction. c:
Nice!!!
My favs (after the semis) were: Belgium, Finland, Australia, Portugal, Austria (that stage tho 🙄), Lithuania, Estonia, Czechia, Slovenia, Norway and Germany
Glad to see your reaction to this! My personal winner was Norway :') and my other favourites were Moldova and Czechia!
It's not really Eurovision unless toxic fans get mad after the final 😂😅
Last year everyone wanted the televote gone because of Ukraine's win, this year everyone wants the jury gone because of Sweden's win!
@@minnamandariini4843 And the televotes favored a meme song and disregarded other even more amazing acts, what's your point lol
1. 🇫🇮 Finland 💚💚💚
2. 🇦🇺 Australia
3. 🇷🇸 Serbia
4. 🇲🇩 Moldova
5. 🇨🇿 Czech Rep.
(6-10: Germany, Sweden, Slovenia, Belgium, Spain)
so Loreen was in my Top 10 and I'm happy for her, just much less happy for ANOTHER sweden win. augghhh boring, esp when the people wanted Käärijä to win so bad and i just think it would've been so much more interesting and exciting!! but you definitely shouldn't have to feel bad for cheering for Loreen-not only is she only the second person to have ever won esc twice (and the first was a white dude), but like you said she's a woman of colour, and also openly bi!!!! so like, incredible. it's just unfortunate this was how it happened, with the juries giving her an unbeatable lead meanwhile in the televote she didn't get a single country's 12 pts meanwhile finland got 18 of them....
YOOO IRELAND IS SO FUCKED RIGHT NOW. I feel so bad for them
Personally i would also have prefered Finland to win.
21:11 honestly what annoyed me more was the fact that so many nice songs landed on such an undeserving low place. armenia or austria are good examples for this. like what was the deal there??? i guess having so many nice songs in one year makes it hard because it's hard to decide if you are happy with the results or not
My top 5 is:
1. Finland
2. Spain
3.Armenia
4. Slovenia
5. Serbia
You def need to check out the runner-up Finland. Eurovision attracts all types of music - ballads, pop, rock, ethnic, and other stuff you’ve never seen before (like grandmas singing while baking bread - no kidding!!!). Enjoy!
not gonna lie i was extremely disappointed when finland didn’t win but oh well my favs never do anyways 💀
Czechia we’re always my winners and I’m so happy they finished in the top 10! That song gives me chills every time I listen to it
My favorites were Norway and Moldava. Greetings from Germany
Commenting before watching: OMG I WAS HOPING YOU WOULD REACT AGAIN! 😍
Loved the video, loved watching the reactions!
great reactions as always :) friends getting together to watch it is such a mood.. you're basically Europeans now 😂
Norway and Finland were my favorites this year! I'm still salty that they got screwed by the jury votes.
Finland honestly did well with the juries for being a very not jury type of song. Norway did badly because the jury performance was pretty terrible. They vote on vocals and hers were just bad.
@@thespankmyfrank If you're talking about vocals, then finland wouldn't have been that high. Jury always screw Norway
I wanted Loreen to win too x Out of all the songs this year hers and Norways song will stand the rest of time in my opinion x My top 5 songs this year in order were:
1. Sweden
2. Norway
3. Austria
4. Finland
5. Belgium
Israel would be my 6th place x
How was Norway not on any of your lists?! It's the best song we've had in years :O. And it did make it into the top 5. I deny the existence of the jury points. Finland was my winner for sure. CHA CHA CHA!!
Norway had trash/boring show + not the best vocals. She got a lot of points bc of the hype and memes across the internet before Eurovision.
We’ve been waiting a year for this let’s gooooooo I’m so hyped!
@danielle
Your eurovision reactions pop up in my feed but none of your other videos do.
I did enjoy them, thanks a lot & good luck with everything!
The Nordics where CRUSHING it this year💥💥💥🔥💕
It's really nice seeing some support for Ukraine! 💙💛 It feels like this entry has been hugely overlooked by the fandom
What a great video, y'all are a joy to watch!😊
Eurovision was every where this year. Literally took over the whole bbc network
Fellow Loreen stannnn! I am so glad you spoke out against the sheer hateful atmosphere that has been around because it is... a lot. This video though as a whole was a delight!
Such a fun video
My top 5 were
1. France
2. Armenia
3. Australia
4. Sweden
5. Serbia
But this was before the show!
(and another country has also got the same points as we sometime before, so technically it's a shared second place haha)
Swedens win just felt boring, like it was already clear before the whole show even started (and imo past winners shouldn't be allowed to enter anyway) BUUUT it is what it is and atleast my country won't have to pay for eurovision next year lol.
Finland tried sending The Rasmus last year and it was so embarrassing to me lmao
though i don't really think Eurovision can be compared to other things, it's so different from everything.. like it's not as if you win a gold medal in sports once you can't ever run again or something 😄 Acting and other careers like that are the same and can't really be compared to entering eurovision either..
(i don't watch the voice but i would imagine past winners don't go back on there either.. Maybe that show works similarly to what I'd want in that aspect..?)
But yeah i guess we can't really start limiting people's access to the contest..
Also never forget I WILL ALWAYS BE HERE TO WATCH EVERY VIDEO you’re so talented and HILARIOUS dani 🩷
my lenaaaaaa 🫶🏽 got me blushing and kicking my feet !! i appreciate you 🤞🏽💖
Thank you for inviting us to hang with you and your friends. I agree we all should be more relaxed about who won and so on.
But it was fun watching you guys (all) stand up at the moment the results were announced 😂😂
Great deal of fun.
Will you girls be doing this video this year? x
Finland did well. It was France who got completely robbed.
𝔽𝕀ℕ𝕃𝔸ℕ𝔻 𝔽𝕀ℕ𝕃𝔸ℕ𝔻!
Kaarija 🤩💃
honestly armenia grande slayed, I expected her to rank higher
12:34 Jeffrey actually was performing while being sick, so extra point to him
mother supporting mother, we stan Loreen in this household
Congratulations to the U.K. for hosting such a wonderful extravaganza on behalf of Ukraine and well done the City of Liverpool for embracing the heart and emotions of Ukrainian.
True. Too bad our act was shit. I didnt even know who mae muller was until she performed. and she did shit.
Fun fact with no relevance: The Finnish word "saha" means 'saw' (the tool) and also 'sawmill'.
Im with ur friends.. Finland got into our hearts.
Yeah but why ignoring Israel?
The lyrics and hooks are bleak, and Ukrainian former ESC entry's Mika Newton's song В плену / Tatoo might be a good comparison:
th-cam.com/video/v8wuuCkHkds/w-d-xo.html
You may find a curious similarity in her song and Tattoo.
Okay miss where’s the 2024 one? Feed us !
I was so happy with Sweden, I never expected her to win. Loreen really is a vocalist and at the end that sticks out significantly. Loved your vlog :D
Käärijä 4ever🇫🇮🤘🙌🙌
Please if you do another one pls include Portugal it was SUCH a great song and vibe
Wanted Norway to win 😢
the simple "MOTHER" when Loreen got the 200+ points was ME
What an amazing show this year in Liverpool! Coming into the Grand Final, I was rooting for Sweden to win too! But I also like Armenia/Spain/Portugal/Austria/France. ❤❤❤
Agree with your ratings girls 👏👍🫶
people aren't mad at sweden they're mad at the juries for always rewarding banality and generic english pop songs over unique and original songs in other languages from other genres. people pay a lot of money to vote and finland got the second highest audience score in history but the juries ignored him so hard and gave sweden so much points he never stood a chance. people are allowed to be mad at that. and considering loreen already won once before it just seems unfair.
Wanted Finland to win so badly 🔥
And didn’t expect so many votes from public for our Bejba 🇵🇱
This reminds me watching Oscars, it is morning in EU by the time it is finished 😂
I'm so glad to see someone likes UK too. I was shocked by the freaking 9 points from the public :(
She is not the best live singer + radio not eurovision song + boring show = low points ;p
Käärijä💚🇫🇮
Girls you could have voted this year too you know?!!! they also assigned points from global vote outside of Europe 😅
This video was super fun but we really have opposite tastes in music lol
keep it up
Well since Noa Kirel from Israel 🇮🇱 was completely ignored and slept on in this reaction video, gonna have to show some presence 🦄 👠 🔥 💙 🇮🇱 💙🦄💙🦄💙🦄💙
The ignore looks intentional by their side

vesna is still on my new fav list
Like i do genuinely think loreen deserves it because her performance was great but i dont think it was fair for her to be in the competition in the first place as sweden was an antticipated winner since the start plus the usual shes an already an established popstar who has also won before.
you are so sweet!
Daniella you are always so positive! I love your reactions and videos! Also TAAASTE for rooting for Loreen the queen!
This is a fun party … invite them around more
Love Loreen! So glad Sweden won ❤❤❤! You have great taste! ❤️🇸🇪 from the UK 🇬🇧
Also, I agree with you in that people are weird. They're so pro-Fimland they hate on Sweden. But I loved both songs, I just think Sweden is art and Finland is a meme. Both good in their own rights but I would prefer art to win a competition for artists
Sad that Norway is not in the reaction, She, Queen of the Kings
why did u cut israel
Karja, Jocker out, The girls from Austria and Brunette were the best for me. I still love Chechia song but performance was not it. They could do so much more with the staging, costumes and performance overall. I don't hate Loreen but there were a lot of songs that deserved more points from jury.
P. S. And I'm still mad that Jann didn't represent Poland in eurovision. This year was pretty weak and Gladiator would have chance to be in top 5.
Jego nazwa sceniczna to Jann. Yann to inny artysta.
@@Duusska yeah, i'm sorry. I'm just wrote how it would be pronaunced in my language😅

hiii! are u gonna do esc 2024? :)
I don't know if you answered that on another video or something, but I'm curious to know why don't you want to continue with the Eurovision reactions. Is it because of the toxic fans and the negativity they spread? :(
i was so gutted for Moldova
You ate that pronunciation of macarons

Thanks you to react from Ukraine 🇺🇦
where is noa kirel?????????
they hate israel!!!
I love Queen of kings - Norway.. I am sad that I Did not see a reaction to it XD but it's alright!
