There are only so many superlatives one can use when describing Dimash…..and they all fit. He is the finest vocalist in the world currently. He is a step ahead in the evolution of sound production in the human animal.
Thank you for your reaction. Isn’t he just out-of-the-world fabulous! I’m a retired professor, a practicing psychotherapist, and unabashedly admit that Dimash has had a significant impact on my life since I discovered him about 6 years ago. His performances pierce my soul and present a bit of Heaven here on Earth. Obviously we Dears love him❤️
A great purpose to Dimash's madness leaps out at you.. the story is told by the lyrics.. which hold the key. Time and time again.. Dimash is a prophet.. whose true destiny has yet to be revealed.

"Stranger" was released by Dimash during the beginning of the evacuation of Afghanistan and then also appropriate for Ukraine and the Gaza Strip. At the beginning, the swirling fingerprint behind Dimash denotes a very personal and epic experience.. this is about people. If you put one of these displaced people in Dimash's place as singing these words, it all becomes unmistakably clear. If I were leaving Afghanistan, or if I were anyone forcibly evicted from my beloved homeland, and having to begin my life all over again, if I have the strength, I would want Dimash to sing this to the world for me. He portrays them wandering bewilderedly to a new land and feeling haunting memories of their ancestors who had been there before. He highlights the diverse ethnicities of these displaced people with his voice, the complex variations of their cultures and with his four part melisma representing the desolation of men, women and children. How right on and how affective this is.. you can almost hear them crying. He has a way of making a hard point.. in a very magnificently poignant manner. Dimash and Igor at the piano and composer as well, are one of a kind, and there may not be others like them in a thousand years.. or perhaps never.

Dimash offers a message with every song he sings.. he mourns death.. and the destruction of human life. This is Dimash's way of speaking to humanity.. with a voice that rings the bells in the sky. Take him for what you feel in your heart.. and believe what you feel.. for you are not alone.. there are many who do. He shines his light into the dark. His mind speaks to the darkness.. "Make way" he says, "my heart feels the stirrings of life." His heart aches with compassion.. the scars of war and the desolation of humankind have endured long enough. Grace has been born within him.. and grows… like a brewing storm.
He is so awesome, isn’t he? Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m a real fan of movies that have such a mystical or oriental atmosphere. And it was such a great idea by Dimash to use the Qobyz for that.
The Qobyz is a very old two stringed Kazakh folk instrument and it’s wide spread among Kazakhs. The man who often is playing the kobyz in Dimash’s performance (also here in Stranger) is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. You often can hear this instrument when Dimash sings in his native tongue like Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter. In the end of Stranger he introduced him to the audience and he thanked them.
As a Kazakh he speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently. He sang Stranger for the first time at New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international competition for young artists, founded in 2002 by Igor Krutoy. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy, like so many other masterpieces, wrote this song specifically for Dimash and his incredible vocal range (in this song alone he sings 5 octaves F1-F6 I think). And the last note he held for 20 seconds. The way he switchs so affortlessly between the different registers and octaves in one song is so mesmerizing and unbelievable.
As already mentioned, Stranger was written by the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him.The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship.
Please react to Olimpico or also Ogni Pietra from his Arnau concert in 2019 next. In this song he sings in Italian. You can find it on Igor Krutoy‘s Channel. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating.
This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯

Dimash wasn’t n competition here. I believe he was a judge. He presented three songs though, one being a new version of Ave Maria, also written by Igor Krutoy who composed Stranger, he is the pianist on both renditions. The third song was called Fly Away, a pop song in English. So, three very different genres.

Dimash collaborated with the pianist onstage for this and many other wondrous songs. Igor Krutoy is a very famous Russian composer, star and concert producer, veerry rich fellow who came out of retirement to work with Dimash when possible. Igor was looking /waiting for someone to appear that could sing the music he had inside of him, and his mother stumbled upon Dimash online and so here is the result. Some are new songs and some are his previous successful songs. If Igor is on piano, then it is one of his songs. Ave Maria...the version that Dimash sings ...he requested Igor to compose it for him. Olympico was by Igor for Dimash to sing at an Olympics Event. Stranger is at Sochi, Russia, a New Wave Comp, but this is either as a guest or in a concert that is part of the comp.
If you allow yourself to indulge in Dimash's beautiful frequencies, you will become addicted, as there is so much in style and genre that has been done, and more is frequently coming, as he now has concerts all over the world, with so many loving fans that he loves to sing to.

I always feel like this whole performance and production- from the cowled singers, the opening march-style percussion, stage arrangements, and of course his wildly dynamic vocals- just has EPIC written all over it.

Hi!, I liked your reaction, thank you. "Stranger" was released in this performance and that string instrument is called "Kobyz", an ancient Kazakh musical instrument, I really like its mystical sound and the atmosphere that it creates . From time to time, when some guests come to my home, I make an experiment; I play this song to them with their eyes closed and they have to guess how many people are on stage singing ☺️. The answers are always more than 3/4. When you reacted first time to SOS, I suggested several songs by Dimash. Since then, Dimash released an indescribable new song called "Smoke" to add to that list. Best wishes from across the ocean 👏👋🎶
This was at Sochi, Russia in the New Wave Hall where he also performed Sinful Passion in 2018. I gather it is during the same festival/competition for young musicians that Igor Krutoy helps promote. In the Sinful Passion performance, Dimash was also thanking and promoting the backing band, A-Studio, that wrote the song back in 1998, not just the festival. Both performances from Dimash were as a professional singer helping promote the festival, rather than as a competitor. So if the guy who runs the festival wants his song sung on stage by Dimash, it happens.
These performances by Dimash at these festival/competitions is his way of paying back to the venues that helped him get started back in 2015-2017. It draws more people to the festival, ramps up their funding and brings more opportunities to the amateur singers and musicians.

At the beginning in Stranger it sounds an old Turkic stringed instrument called Kobys. It is probably the oldest bowed stringed instrument in the world and it spread to became the prototype of all European string instruments as violin an chello. That and the use of the fa minor key in the composition gives the vibe of Middle East /oriental/ exotic sound.
Think he´s singing to migrants in general: "New ground far as I can see, new ground underneath my feet, Stranger in a stranger land, new chance to see who I am if I have the strength to begin again"
Reminds me also to the Old Testament; Exodus 2:22 Moses, “And she bore him a son, and he called his name Gershom [that is, A stranger there]; for he said, “I have been a stranger in a strange land.”

In that part you were talking about, there was an overlay of the vocal - Dimash sang the lowest part, then the sound engineer used the line he had just sung and repeated it with a delay/echo/loop effect, as Dimash went to the higher "yodelish" melisma. Do you know what a true coven is? How has Dimash inducted you into one? Just curious because you brought it up. I've found 0 references to the occult, black magic, or satanism in any of his music or performances. Please elaborate/explain this coven you believe you have joined.
