I've been a devoted drag racing fan since 1960. My primary focus has been on Sportsman Racing and Pro Stock(1970-2005.) I've found the rest of what is today's NHRA to be a non-sport where only rich men can race. Ed Hedrick is a legend and someone who still loves the sport as much as I do. Thank you Parker for making the day of this old drag racing fan.
Hello Ed. Awesome! Congrats on the triple zero. So glad to see this video and that you are still running the fast lane. May God bless you and always keep you safe in His hands. Have a great holiday season. HOHOHO 🎅
At first I was thinking it wasn’t all that fast, then I remembered he is 87 years old! I just hope I can still move at his age, much less race! That car looks amazing
6.5 seconds to cover 660 feet is way faster than you think! 106 mph in 660 feet! It doesn't matter that he is 87 years young. I say this because I have done the eighth mile tracks myself at 6.00 and it will scare the shit outta you! I live about 100 miles from that track and have seen that guy before, but didn't get to talk to him.
HI PARKER , WOW , I don t know if you can top this video , meaning 87 yo , his math calculations , he is humble , WHOA. TY , I am glued to the screen , watching and listening to you and your guests. BE SAFE
Awesome video of the racing !!! 87 years old congratulations!!!! I enjoyed this video very much , it stinks in nj they closed Oldbridge raceway park near me !!!
Thank you so much for this video! Just so happens, we had a drag racers luncheon for Ed Hedrick last month, during his visit to Wellsvillle NY. Ed is a good friend and we try to do a luncheon get together each year. Also, among the attendees were, Mike Janis, Jerry Mayo (Ed's crew chief), Jim Oddy, Bob Repine, Kent Ritter and the rest of us.
I had a '74 Nova 350, same blue color, I got from an older lady. It had a 3 in the tree and checkered interior. I gutted the thing and drove around the US
The 1968 nova was sold in 69 and was painted orange and called sir tiger. Then was sold with no motor or trans. Never made it back to the track. Some guy bought it from reading pa put an Oldsmobile 350 and trans in it and drove it to work every day till it was cruched
Wow, Parker that was awesome, thanks for bringing Ed's experience to us. I could listen to him for hours.
Amazing! At 87 years old! Still having fun and breaking records!
Love to see you in eastern NC

Parker, great video ! Ed, what an enjoyment watching you drive your Nova and cutting perfect lights. All the best to you both.

Ed is a cool dude
Mr Ed Hendrick is a really sharp fella
Serious reaction time for a 27 yr old, I just hope I have a good enough reaction time to get to the bathroom at that age 😂
Damn, 87 years old and still doing burn outs, Awesome.
