Absolutely love the video! These folks and their stories are worth more than any dollar amount that ANYONE could offer them for this gorgeous gem! Proud to know that there are people cut from this cloth still left in this big old world! Thank you so much to the owners and everyone who put this together! God bless you!

I appreciate you letting me know. But, yeah, these people traveled and raced internationally for years, a great life. As an auto journalist I have met so many people that wanted to be race car drivers. All of them seemed to looking for a "sponsor." I think they were hunting somebody just to foot the entire bill of travel and hand them regular paychecks. Getting a free ride would be nice. What I've found out sometimes you have to sacrifice in order to get your dreams. I know that I wanted to be a writer, a dream job too, but there sure wasn't anybody to foot the bill for my expenses. I paid my own expenses for decades and managed to work hard and earn enough to foot my own bills and do pretty good. I think it was the same for Andy and Mary Ann.

Thanks Bubba. I would do more if I had more barn finds. I have received 8--10 calls of tremendous barn finds in the last year - But those calls came AFTER the cars were pulled and cleaned. I guess people don't understand that I have to be there before the car is disturbed so that I can record the find and interview everybody and get a story. I'm not a wheeler-dealer trying to flip cars. I'm a writer and historian and now a TH-camr. I've paid finder's fees on great finds where I can do a story. If need be, I will either buy the car or get the car for somebody that wants it. I've paid finder's fees. My number is 806-236-3681 and email is jerryheasley@gmail.com.

These stories remind me of the only Mustang I ever considered buying. Back in the 1970's someone, who I don't remember now, asked me if I wanted to buy an old Mustang that had been raced on the Strip. It even had a truck front axle(!) I thought it would be a good idea to buy (minus the chevy big block) and put a cheap engine in it and use it as a daily driver. It had never been road registered . I never went through with the deal as i was on apprentice wages which were peanuts .Years later I realised that it was actually a real Shelby car with a really long circuit history .It's since been restored and all of the history documents .It was one of 12 that Shelby sold as customer race cars.
Elva Courier bodies were initially made to be put on MG chassis ,The Elva Courier was produced by Elva Engineering Co., a British sports and racing car manufacturer founded in 1955 by Frank G. Nichols. The name “Elva” comes from the French phrase “elle va,” which means “she goes.” The Courier was one of their core products, and it relied on MG for chassis components and drivetrains . The rights to the Elva Courier were later acquired by Trojan in 1962, and production moved to the main Trojan factory in Croydon, Surrey. Overall, Elva built approximately 500 Elva Courier.

With todays technology it may be possible to bring that paint back to its original shine. Then you can cover it with paint protection film and protect it. That way if it gets a blemish you can buff the film instead of the paint. Then you can leave it to a family member or use it as emergency money because you could sell it in a heart beat if you needed money. The better the condition the more its worth. This is my dream car with a 4 speed. I would like to see a before and after video. And buy a car cover.

This car needs to be put in a Barber where the temperature will preserve it for people to enjoy the way it is.If they don't it will rust and then it's nothing but an old car.

"Worlds first barn find" Gee, back in 1973 I was working on an old farm house. During lunch I was poking through an old barn on the property and sitting on the only portion of floor that was left was a traditional 40's hot rod. Auburn NH USA

Not "World's First Barn Find," the quote is "World's First Barn Find Turned Show Car."

Should of sold it years ago. It looks ok from the outside. Once you start looking closer it rotted out from the inside out.

That's why it's important to have kids. All that knowledge and a lifetime of a collection will be gone in the next 5 10 20 years

I don't know, about kids that is; but, a good video that is real, where we get to listen to the actual people, not their heirs, goes a long way to preserving not just knowledge, but the personality and speech of the owners.
