Astonishing work! This mod is now part of my essential Doom pack. I have a question: what are the inspiration for the rifle? It looks like a cross between an AR15/M16 and a Garand, a very nice look, probably the most beautiful Doom rifle I've seen in any mod.
That BFG animation is beautifully done, AND very faithful to what the comic's interpretation of the blast is like. Well done! Now we just need overly-bombastic Doom comic quotes, the likes of Postal Dude.
@@NightmareReflexes Thanks! i've made the BFG to be able to shoot like comic and vanilla tracer rounds. And visually tried to mix both the game and the comic. About the quotes, there's a mod that i've posted on recommended mods to play with DC96 that adds doomguy quotes from the comic, it does it based on where you are and what you're doing. It's almost perfect.
one of the best mods on doom i ever play its combine some feel from build engine games like duke nukem or blood thats i absolutely love . thanks you very much for this awesome work
This mod is GOAT. I am currently running it with psx doom for spooky vibes and this goes along so well. Thanks for the hard work, the shotgun and alt fire kick is just chefs kiss. Love everything about it so far!!

Looking good so far, I just wanna let you know that if you right click with the SSG to fire one barrel and then left click, the second shot is still considered a two barrel shot, so it's like 150% damage before reloading
I've got suggestions if you want 'em ducking charge, doomguy does something similar like that, basically the idea is, it's similar to BD/PB's slide, but instead, you duck while running for a charge, not only are you going faster, but you could dodge enemy fire frag grenades (as seen on the zombieman from the cover art of the comic) silver painted megaarmor/bluearmor (as seen from the book cover) maybe a new vanilla texture pack, that turns all textures into simplified comic background counterparts doomguy quotes, using one liners from the comics AND cut voicelines of doomguy from Quake 3 maybe perhaps when you end the level with a berserk pack, doomguy comments on the fact it has worn off when the next level starts maybe a Quake Lightning gun-ish alt fire for the plasma gun, that sprays a continueous beam of energy maybe unique d*ath anims for enemies using certain weapons (might be a little bit too hard, actually) the revenant in the comic seems to have a piercing beam attack, rather than it's normal one (in the panel when doomguy is about to get a BFG)
You should add brutal doom fatalities and make punches even crazier and powerful while on berserk (like how doom guy easily shreds demons in the comic)
Just to clarify, the fists now have a "combo" mecanic, if you do left jab, right jab and then left jab again, the third punch will do x3 damage. Yes, berserker packing a punch now, if you do the combo.
True, the older version was the best i could bring to a close vanilla experience. Althought, the mod modules are compatible between version, so you can use the old dc96 2.6 with v3 color pallete, hud, and monsters
@Ramirov-hl6ts noice. If you wanna add does two weapons here is the thing and it's just a concept. The rifle fires on burst which is more accurate and can act as a sniper rifle for targeting long range enemies. The SMG is like a miniature version of the Chain Gun but It reload after 30 shots. That's just concept my dude.
@@Hyodou-Chan i'll do a sounds only addon. Btw, thanks, i put big love on the sounds. Pd: if i make a sounds only, the chaingun sound with the "ching" wouldn't work without making a custom chaingun (making it incompatible with other mods), so it would do the pistol sound.

The kick doesn't have berserker effects but has a lot of kickback. Do you think it should have berserker effect too?

It look like a 16-bit era console game. (in a really good way)
Even then, 16 bit games weren't even this smooth. The animation for chainsaw is just 👌
I don't why but I could see it in the mod "Nobody Told Me About Id" which it has a Build Engine game vibe into it.

I hope you can replace the Pistol for either a rifle from the zombies or the smg from the doom cover 1.
@@LezzyMania_02 the mod comes with the rifle addon to replace the pistol, custom sprite. 2.6 had the smg, but i didn't update it now.

I've got the required fullscreen HUD mod though am unable to get this mod's hud working. How exactly do you enable it?
I wasn't clear enough, the fullscreen hud mod was necessary on v2.667 and below, now on v3, the hud module works on his own (only works on gzdoom).
