After so many years of struggle in relationship and working in big and complex or organised co. or enterprise, I lose heart and has lower down my expectation of myself or try to be contend of what I have achieved so far. Compare to A-level student as a diploma graduate I fail miserably. As your speech being announced in public about mid-career job and switch and upgrading it gives me hope of a better life and new financial status which I dearly would like to challenge as I have alot of time on hand but let resources. Thanks for your budget. It comes as a bonus to my family and my life.

The content of speech of Mr. Lawrence Wong is very deeply good for worker to develop the skill, me as Indonesian, be apologize that I have a dream to be able to teach n educate ( in Singapore)..full time as a lecturer of export import based on my basical university graduate & my working experience before in Indonesia, unfortunately the opportunity of teaching of export import practically is only more part-time lecturer, hope there will be a challenge of me might be a job of lecturer of export import in Singapore for 1 or 2 Polytechnic / College which will utilize my knowledge n skill as a Lecturer of export import , including shipping at FCL term. Anyway, I have applied a vacancy through Agency of Public service,my far hope there will be a more & better relationship of SME among countries supported by IT available nowadays, especially IT at Singapore, besides giving practicall knowledge for students, I am sorry that my comment does not fit, but hope there will be positive thing to us, to implement what the great idea should be go on.Thank a lot

Actually when I quit my job in a property firm as a telemarketer I join F&B and since then I am still in food industry with the encouragement of my close akin. They know I can't stand too stressful and mind prompt job. Since then it has been very rewarding and fun and movie like. I see and watch and mix lightly with weirdo that found themselves in my vicinity.

I work because I’m forced to, not because I want to. I recognise that work is important, but I don’t have to like it. I would also prefer not to be vilified for trying to get out of work whenever I can. The worst policy to me personally is delayed retirement due to perceived rising lifespan. That has the unfortunate consequence of incentivising the employer sector to “stretch” your wage over said perceived longevity to suit longer duration of working life which nobody ever asked for. In a time of improving automation and robotics, we should be utilising said technology to serve humanity by increasing the former’s workload to undertake mundane, undesirable, unsafe, and unclean jobs. So that humanity can be free to engage in leisure and other meaningful activities. Rather we are creating more bull shit jobs in the service of the wealthy minority who own and continue to increase their monopoly of advanced technology.

The future job will only has 2 categories. A man job and a woman job. A man head of the
household and a bread winner of the family. A woman compliment their man. A man selects a wife and a woman selects a husband seriously in their lifetime and go ahead to put it into action and be a better version of a family in Singapore society.

Upskilling requires investment of time and your finance which might be eating into your pockets which might not be ideal since you already seek financial consultant before you embark into the journey of business and dealing things and matters involving around business after leaving a mundane workforce.

We can see that there are different views. Work needs to be done. If our late Mr. Lee is around, he will create a forum, and explain to the people on the logic behind.
We are normal people. We need explanation at times to understand the policy.
I can understand not fully, as I need to thrive and improve my skills.
    And, it is really thriving.
There is a new course available - 5G combine with Data Science and even AI
and this is only on one tiny scope of fore front industry.
For other industries, changes are underway. And, those changes are hard to foresee.
And, please, do not mention other countries, especially the neighbouring countries, as it is sensitive. ;)

According to Malaysia PM Anwar during his Chinese New Year celebration speech, if you wants to be rich be a business man and you can earn more money. But you cannot be rich if you are a politician or minister. You have to sacrifice to serve the people. Our Singapore politicians earn in millions. It's easy to earn money. His ministers forgo 20% of their salaries. Anwar forgo his salary. Can Singapore follow the same as Malaysia? We need opposition to govern Singapore and show the ruling party, that they too can be like the ministers in Malaysia who can earn lesser salary. Here they are earning in millions. We citizens, live hands to mouth. We need a rescuer to salvage us.

That is what many people like you thought, Malaysia will finish? Look at Malaysia how it is thriving. Ministers are not using the brains unlike the opposition. They have their own press secretary and also ministers without any portfolio sitting in cabinet. It's people's money, do they are spending like water. Get them out and let opposition fill the seats. You can see a great difference. It's enough is enough of their ruling. To them it's one rule, and to others is one ruling. Look at the biggest scandal in bribery of Brazil? What happened?
