I attended this concert. Clapton continued playing well into the night. He was amazing.. One of the best nights of my life.
The thing about Clapton is he never got better as the years go on he’s just always been the best from the very beginning
That's right, seen him get irritated a few times too !
Right -they were calling him a god when he was like 22
If there was no J.J. Cale or Bob Marley, Clapton would've never gotten bigger than Cream
He had to change with the time man, just like 90/ percent did but he always had something special just waiting for the right time ⏲️
Yes he gave a look to one of the band members, I wouldn't want to be those words he was thinking about!!
My favorite Clapton song. Why can't more songs be this great?
With help from George Harrison it become super💐
@@writerpaperback6284 agreed.
Cream song :)
My favorite! Most people don't know this song was originally called Bridge.
There's only ONE EC ❤
His guitar playing is so smooth, it's like it is perfect.
"Slow Hand"!!!
Awesome Performance by Clapton & Steve Gadd! My Favorite Clapton Song.
George Harrison was on it too. So much George.
yes! This is real music played by musicians, not electronic.
Watching in 10/23 & Eric has aged very well as he is now 78 & still delivering. Ive grown old listening to his wonderful music. River of Tears is my all time fav. Keep on rocking Eric ❤❤
Badge,is such a superb song.I love the sound,&production of it.What a song!
Si sentono i Beatles....... difatti l'ha scritta con George Harrison......
Fav song of all time - says it all, in brief and beautifully. I met him when I lived in Islington, he was lovely, polite and modest.
Mine too.
The Way He Ends The Solo With The Two Power Revs.
To me it sounds like a car
I'd say a race car downshifting quickly
@@ArthurB Likely Mimicking His F40.
@@awsomeal100 I didn't know he had an F40. Damn, dude's rich.
Clapton always manages to amaze when he just gets a little bit more rock n roll than usual.
When I listen to Eric Clapton sing and play his fender guitar I feel like Jimi Hendrix, and I shiver and vibrate with tanat musical beauty. He is the greatest of all! Long live Eric Clapton! I will always be your biggest fan around the world, galaxy, universe, sixth dimension....
Clapton is a genius
Could be the best R & R song ever.
voted by me my favorite vedio of all the times I have watched and listed my 8th time today yesterday 6 the other day abaught 14 it is just an awesome performance..thanks to the person who put up the vedio...Roland J Gutierrez from Magdalena New Mexico USA 🇺🇸
He and the fellow musicians he plays with are always a class act 👍🏼
Anything that has katie kissoon singing backing vocals in, is a masterpiece.
She used to sing with Van the man. There's a concert recorded at Capitol Theatre NJ 1979...
Couldn’t agree more on Katie especially her singing over the Badge chorus!
Luved to know how that part came to be ? Did she throw it out there in rehearsals and Eric liked it?
I would assume so?
Band was cooking.
Long live Eric🇹🇨
Cc melodie, ce interpretare instrumentala, ce voce de componistica numai spun, tot excepțional, magnific. !!! gaby
Eric Clapton the God father of rock and roll !!!
Masterful performance!
Eric always surrounds himself with the most competent players. Featured at this concert are:
Dave Bronze - Bass Guitar
Steve Gadd - Drums
Andy Fairweather Low - Guitars · vocals
Jerry Portnoy - Harmonica
Chris Stainton - Keyboards
Roddy Lorimer · Simon Clarke · Tim Sanders - The Kick Horns
Katie Kissoon · Tessa Niles - Backing Vocals
Brilliant.
This is a slightly different mix and video and I absolutely adore it! Thank you!
Chris Poole I noticed too.
Why is that i wonder. The 1st vid i saw of this Took out 1 of gads fills horns are a tad louder. Girls are too loud in parts. Interesting
Lot more “polished” yet “showier” as it was for an enormous crowd and a concert movie. More horns, faster tempo than most. And yet I freakin love it, mass market or not. Gives the good vibes.
backing singer at the end is superb... really makes it special.
Agree, she's great
Cause this is the greatest
Yeah the fact that he's the Master of blue eyed blues and got to help blend blue eyed blues and old school blues every time he shared a stage with the various masters of old school blues masters have made Eric Clapton the living legend of Rock and Roll , and that he is and maybe he is the one 1⃣ star 🌟 who had more positive affects on the music 🎶 industry in the genre of Rock and Roll , arguably as any other star 🌟 😊😅😮😢😂❤😂😊❤😊❤😊
Monster live, very nice atmosphere, really nice video.
Clapton is GOD!🤎🤎🤎
Still so good in 2022 :) Enjoy the Music :)
Best Leslie speaker sound in live dvd.
I heard he uses a Dynacord Leslie emulation...If anybody really knows, please tell me :)
@@wjazz1496 I have the Dynacord that sounds good..but not as good as a real leslie cab powered by a Marshall
Mr Eric Clapton!!!
Fabulous!Steve Gaad looks like he's about to be airlifted to the heavens.
He reminds me of ANIMAL from the MUPPETS!!!! JUST PLAYING HIS ASS OFF AND HAVING A BANGGER GOOD TIME!!!!
2024 & I watch this video multiple times every day. Age 72.
I have seen this clip on a few TH-cam channels. Steve Gadd and David Bronze are LOCKED IN on drums and bass!
The bass line is amazing
I thought I am the only one who love it 😌 it’s Perfect
@@juliarose8810 for reals!!! ❤️
Dave Bronze on bass. Also played in Robin Trowers band.
@@markhaus5441 I knew I'd seen him before somewhere
One of CREAM's best songs, Clapton makes it his in this performance. "Where is my Badge?", gave me chills....and I ain't a EC solo fan!
I think Clapton makes it his own because he wrote it! Writing credits go to eric clapton and beatles george harrison. Great song either way Cream or Clapton! Rock on!!
When I sat “EC solo” I was thinking at first you meant guitar solos. I know you meant not with Cream or some band. But for reference AN EC solo is at 2:15.
@@stumpgrinder2792 Harrison wrote 'Badge', it was his song ! Clap got credit because he was on the 'WHITE ALBUM' as a favour to Harrison, Harrison returned the favour....and gave Clapton his Wife too !
its so awesome regardless i tear a little most times, so good, 53 swm no kids
@joao goncalves Thats OK, it can be anything you want it to be, yes? That is a small part of the beauty of music...it can mean or be anything you want it to be !
Eric Clapton is bestbestbestbest!!!!!1
Beautiful
The greatest single riff ever
Layla is pretty good too
One of the best
Thinkin' 'bout the times you drove in my car
Thinkin' that I might have drove you too far
And I'm thinkin' 'bout the love that you laid on my table
I told you not to wander 'round in the dark
I told you 'bout the swans, that they live in the park
Then I told you 'bout our kid, now he's married to Mabel
Yes, I told you that the light goes up and down
Don't you notice how the wheel goes 'round?
And you better pick yourself up from the ground
Before they bring the curtain down
Yes, before they bring the curtain down, ooh
Get up, get up, get up (ooh, ooh, ooh)
Yeah, yeah, yeah (ooh, ooh, ooh)
Yeah, yeah, yeah (ooh, ooh, ooh)
Talkin' 'bout a girl that looks quite like you
She didn't have the time to wait in the queue
She cried away her life since she fell out the cradle
Skill Bass OMG!!
2 gods on stage: EC and Steve Gadd !!
Gadd is more monster than god! 😂
Gadd reminds me of ANIMAL of the Muppets playing drums...Just balls to the wall hammering away and on point!!!!! FANTASTIC!!!
Just amazing, absolutely
I really like this
Lindo um clássico dos Cream com Clapton em grande forma força abraco❤😂😂😂😂❤😂🎉 gosto
Every guitar player needs a great drummer. Here, Clapton has the great Steve Gadd. This might be the best rendition. Maybe,,,,,,
I think this Clapton s best musician s in back are outstanding
His best band he had was Nathan East, Greg Phillagnes and Steve Ferrone on drums.
The best
SUPER!!! I drink of this Song ffor eric Patty and George
of
Brilliant
Keyboard outstanding
wonderful dvd
❤️ love ❤️ this
Magnificent.
Aunque pasen los años, no deja de ser un clásico
I like that song with Eric Clapton
This and Bell Bottom are my 2 favorites
happy 79th birthday eric patrick clapton !!!!
This looks and sounds a bit diff then other clip of this ive seen. Still love it
I know the clip you mean. It got removed, from me anyway
This shows why EC plays with the wonderful Steve Gadd!
His songs and live performances had more energy and were tighter with Steve Ferrone on the drums. Gadd is great but is far to busy.
Without steve gadd with steve gadd , Eric is different
I agree with you
Top!!!
This man sure knows how to pick great backing vocalists .. that look absolutely fkn stunningly hot ... does it time after time
On Ytube is a performance of My Father's Eyes with the same girls....in Japan
Funniest thing is that at 1:29 no one in the crowd knew that was one of the greatest lick of all time.
One more time with feeling
Gadd is rocking wow
Crazy drummer! Seems Muppet Show's Animal. 😂
Eric sabroso Clapton 😍
Just once in the many live performances of the song Badge, I would love to hear Eric play the same solo he did on the original record. However he never does....as much as love Eric that is a big let down.
Wow!!
just on another level compared to his peers
Love
Drummer and bass great
Always liked it when Andrew Fairweather Low played in his band!
Good morning star😊1❤❤❤❤
De los mejores conciertos
Being a guitarist myself and performer 50 plus years.no slouch myself.Yardbirds produced my favs of all time.they are Jeff Beck.Eric Clapton.Jimmy Page. I copy all 3.nuff said
wow more than a feeling from Boston in there somewhere ?
Please upload the full concert
When you’re that good to Star out how much better can you get. Clapton and Jimi were almost in a class by themselves. Then very close we’re Beck, Page but 3 of my other favorites are Terry Kath, Jon Butcher and folks bear with me on this one Badfinger’s Pete Ham. People before you slam me on my 3 other choices listen to Butcher and Google Kath and 25 or 6 to 4 from Chicago’s 1970 performance at Tanglewood. Lastly find Badfinger’s live 1972 performance at Carnegie Hall of Constitution it’s a Joey Molland song but listen to Ham’s guitar on that song. I defy anyone to tell that the song by The Beatles heir apparents don’t sound like the second coming of Helter Skelter. Now have at me if you like!
Then again there was Jeff Beck always amazed us with new ideas RIP my guitar hero 😢
Where is my "badge"? The funny thing is that this title was Eric trying to read "Bridge" on a piece of paper upside down. It's was George's handwritten notes for the middle 8th.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Our one last ride I love you Angela dawn
at 2:36..Whats a suitcase with dollars and pics on his amp for?
Who are the two ladies singing backup ?
Katie kissoon and Tessa niles
Is that thr ‘King of Queens’ Doug Heffernan playing bass?
Its Dave Bronze
Very entertaining version. I prefer the Cream performances of course.
Go figure - I don't.
YEP. CREAM can't be bested on anything they did. A case where less is more.
LMAO, @ 5:32 in front of E.C.'s guitar and maybe 5 feet towards the back of the stage is a suitcase, on top of an FENDER TWEED amp.....it is clearly VISIBLE. Contents include 3 visible stacks of U.S. Currency ($100'S ?), an eye-glass case. a pair of glasses and no CIGS/drugs.......not even a drink......jus another day at the office! Must be nice !
There's nobody left everybody's dead
The drummer looks like George Clooney
All you need is Ginger on drums to really have this takeoff 🕊️
Edit: damn--this guy held his own though, f#¢k yeah 🤘
Cream did this rather well too
Story goes that ringo named it. He saw the word “bridge” on the sheet and misread it as “badge”. Others got a laugh and kept it
Was George not ringo
Steve GOD
Sorry, Clapton
Steve is only monster, not god.
@@ragnarlobrook8228 that depends on your personal faith haha
Outstanding live performance, even if a bit drawn out. I'm thinking "where is my badge" is a reference to George Harrison. Having written the song together, Clapton is missing/honoring his friend.
I don't know why he waits so many counts before he goes into that middle part he does this in every performance, I think it's only four counts
1st comment. Mine, alllllll mine🤦♂️
Leslie
Não era a toa que acelerava umas ferraris .
Falto el solo de mark Knopfler en este tema
BTW, the Black Chick in the White 'Chanel' Pants suit, singing back-up, Ooh La La........
WILDBILL212 Miss Katie Kissoon and the blond is Tessa Niles.

I love her refrain: "Can you tell me? Tell me, tell me!"
