Thanks for keeping us updated with the prices! It would be great if you could create a detailed video on dual study programs including types, companies that offer, pros & cons etc.
Most universities provide hot lunch for low price (5-7€ or so). Maybe little more than self-cooking, but cheaper than a restaurant. But it's only on weekdays. Just wanted to point out, german culture is more like hot lunch, cold dinner, not vice versa - although changing towards warm dinner.
I´ve been eating pasta for the last 2 years straight even though I am working as a "Werkstudent" cus u never know which random expense comes ur way also my weekly grocery haul went from 45€/w to 55-60€/week. Living expenses have risen like crazy.
Despite the contribution at a university, the biggest difference in cost of living will be the rent. The other expenses are usually very similar all over Germany.
My cost of living in Karlsruhe are around 650 euros per month, in large part because I live in crazy cheap student housing (around 230 euros). Cost of living in Germany is about 40% cheaper then when i was in Montreal
Democratic People's Republic of Cucknada is such bollocks. Only 1 inch away from actual communism, but with Capitalist America business model. They need some rednecks revolution lol.
Yeah, internet offers in India are the cheapest in the world. Even though I live in Dubai which has the fastest average internet in the world, it's pretty damn expensive.

Yes, that's the default. In some situations like student homes, they might have a flat rate on electricity and internet included, but that's not normal appartments. 'warm' also includes the elevator and a share on outdoor lights around the house, share on the gardening, common stuff like this. The thing is: it's pay per use, it's not fixed. What they tell you is an estimate. (most often pretty exact).

Hi Max!! Thanks so much for the video! I've been learning a lot from you! I have some video requests, if you don't mind... I'd like to know more about getting a Master's degree in Germany... can we expect to have any scholarships or fellowships? I'm also wondering whether the current far right shift Germany is facing is likely to affect international students' lives on the next years. Thanks for your attention!
You could team up with other international students. And a lot of Germans are very friendly towards English-speaking people, so you can try to apply for a sport the normal way. Just make sure that you put effort into learning more German!
If someone wants to do cse or IT related PhD in english taught program in germany like english speaking countries can he do it in english language or does he need to know german to do PhD in that subject?
Max bro im about to coming to Munich for master study, honestly accomodations fees a little bit scared me,you know as an international student it is hard to make that mony . Have you any tip please?
If you have found a place to stay, getting a job is quiet easy. In a restaurant you can train your German and use your English. And then , you get the tips by the clients ;-) There is something legally defined as 'Minijob', 450€ for maximum of 10h/week. That's a common offer by restaurants, for the rush-hour, or for the weekend only.
I'll be starting my master's studies at TUM this winter and this is such an incredibly relevant video! Fingers crossed I don't go insane while finding an apartment (jk xD)
You will, unfortunately. Even almost 40 years ago, it was nonsense to stay there, even with a decent engineer's salary! Madness, and it has become even worst! The south of Munich is full of thieves, who cry if they can't host their polo horses decently! ;-)
sorry to tell you but as a non german, its nearly impossible, much less in munich itself, you probably have to look 50kms from uni to get into a reasonably affordable wg(shared living)
Max can you as a foreigner to apply for a dualstudium program if you were outside of europa ? last time i asked my german teacher and he said no only ausbildung and studium are available, but i don't believe him, please clarify to me i'm from morocco
I think you would need to get a work authorization first. Plus there are usually more applicants than spots in these programs, so I'd say chances are rather low if you don't have the most outstanding profile ever.
Dual studies are also possible for international students. But if you're applying from outside Germany, it is going to be harder to get a spot. Most dual-study programs, especially at big companies are very competitive
