The craziest thing about this song is that there's plenty of mids and bass going on in the background, but it's muted and mixed in such a way that all you're getting is just the highs. I'm serious; pull this up in audacity and run it through a filter curve or amplify edit. It's an absolute travesty that a DnB song nerfed the bass so much.

Ah yeah iirc the original didn't have an actual proper ending either (Since it's supposed to endlessly loop in-game if needed) imo so I put the slower part of the song at the end as a bandaid. I think my original train of thought was that someone was gonna be bored enough to create a looped version of my extension so it'd be a bridge to start from (Super long loops aren't a "controlled" experience for me so I rarely do' em.). Almost a year later though in hindsight I probably shoulda just faded out
