@@DG-wr6cl 1x1 missiles with the radar missile output going into the fins only work as a front or rear aspect missile. The NNTC creature you’re referring to from the workshop with a 9km range is different. Like coolcats other missiles, it is a rolling air frame design which significantly improves its ability to lead targets especially at longer ranges. It also sends radar data through a lua script for improved guidance before going to the composite input on the fins.
@@DG-wr6cl If you’re worried about looks you can xml mod blocks to be invisible. The AGM 70 in the ashen weapons pack is actually a 3 high 3 wide missile however excluding the fins it looks like a 1x1. If you’re building air to ground missiles then the rolling air frame design isn’t necessary. Air to air missiles is where that is useful.
Does this still work? When you started humming it reminded me of the first worms Armageddon game intro where they would gradually pull out bigger guns until it got to missiles haha
for some reason the thruster doesnt turn on when its released, ive done everything i can think of and it doesnt work? edit: career mode is just broken it doesnt work for some reason
@@stormworksunlimited I did try that, but i soon realized that I was in career, and the workbench didnt have any rocket booster fuel, this was a mechanic that I didnt know about, thanks for replying though!
Amazing tutorial! You earned my subscription.
Much appreciated. Glad you liked it
GREAT tutorial man! love it
Thanks!
Thankyou so much!!!!
I know I'm 2 years late but is there any way you could check out the radar missile I made with this tutorial, it doesn't track
I did like it, and you will catch me on the next one👍🏽
Works so well!
can you make a ballistic calculator?, like the one which calculates the angle of the gun according to the distance.
Yeah, its crazy, i made one early on, then they changed everything so it no longer works correctly. Should be fairly easy to modify.
I have no reason why but when I try to make a missile like this it just won’t go to its target

Mine all veer off before they hit the target or they don’t track
Mine to idk why i though it was just em
sometimes the rocket with fins part is buggy. I'd prefer to add ordinary fins and use pids to control them.

It shoulf still work. Im not aware of any changes to the game that would break it.

Make sure your thruster is hooked up to the launch node on the hard point .

just a quick question, can you scale this up using larger peices?
i can give it a shot!
its done :)
This is a great tutorial but can you make a tutorial on guided bombs?
sure, How about some Radar Guided bombs?
@@stormworksunlimited That'd be awesome!
