Wow Jay,this car belongs with the Merc 300sl from a few months ago to the best modificated and restored Cars. Hat off to you and the work you have put in this Ferrari
Thank you for your positive comment, many thanks 🤗👍👍 Two months of work went into the Ferrari, and for me it is one of my best conversions next to the 300SL😊 thinking about on how to top that 😄
@@jaysmodelcarcollection8338 Well that maybe very difficult to top those 2 named projects. I wish you good luck finding another very special car for next project. I have recently restored a Renault 5 turbo in 1-18 scale into the car i owned when i was young, many moons ago. And starting next month with a opel Manta 400 i wich was the first and last car i bought brandnew.. trying to rebuild all the cars i used to drive in my past. Then i will start with the motorbikes i had
Magnifique et les détails sublime j'aimerais vous envoyer une boîte à chaussures remplie de plusieurs modèles pour des futurs projets à publier vue les réalisations que vous effectuer bravo encore monsieur
Thank you for your Feedback 👍👍 I have already a lot of old model cars which have to be restored, but don't know which one to chose for next project. Which model would you like to see in my videos? 😊
Really nice work! even if I would have used paint remover and to glue, I would have used a glue like Tamya, which doesn't create annoying threads. However, thanks to your video, I was able to see the huge difference between the BBurago's 250 GTO and my Hot Weels Elite series.
Thank you for your Feedback 😊👍 I normaly never remove the paint when i paint old Bburagos. That way helps to reduce the big gaps on Doors, Hood and Trunk. I will try Tamiya glue, thanks for the tipp. 👍 Elite 250GTO is very nice by the way 👍👍
Now let see someone out would be brave to build a real one replica kit car because if I had a a real one for sure it would look like that good job bro 🔥🔥
Love the Video the Black one Looks stunning …🤯 . Love your Videos man watched them all , keep going . I would love That i make a video on some tools u use and for example how/where to get These stickers /Details Like belts etc. 👌🙏
Thank you very much for your content. Your models and your craft are very inspirational. May I ask one question: How is this "cutting ruler" called you are using?
Many thanks for your Feedback 👍 I'm happy to inspire people with my videos. I don't know the brand of the cutting ruler, even don't know where i habe buyed it. Have it since many years.
Hi, great job on that 250GTO! which colors / glue / tools do you use? and which led's and batterycase etc. and where do you get the original Decals? i would like to see a "Roomtour-video" from your workshop 😃 and some "how-to" videos for LEDs / painting etc. would also be great. thx.
Hi BenniWob, i will do some "How to" Videos, i only need more freetime to do it... but i promise, there will be specific videos for painting, LED and other stuff. First Video is done "How to change Wheels" 😊
Dear, initially, congratulations on the excellent work. Your skill is admirable. I would like to ask a question: what is the brand of white plastic putty you used on the fenders? Congratulations. Eduardo, Florianópolis, Brasil
Thanks for your Feedback 👍 To avoid shrinking, I let the putty dry for 24h, grind them and put the next layer on it, than again drying 24h... that process i do as long as it's necessary to achive the final form. That takes much time, but i never had issues with shrinking.
My friend, what was the compound used to polish the windshield and clear parts? I said before this an amazing job and say it again: this is an amazing job. Thank you
I thought there was a bit much black seat would have looked nice done in Ferrari light tan with a darker brown wash to bring out the detail of the quilted seats possibly the top of the dashboard in light tan to , maybe some HT leads wire done in the engine bay , great job though
Thank for your Feedback 👍 Yes there is a lot more potential for more details and i really was thinking to add cables to the engine, but would take to much time. The build took 2,5 months.
Amazing work 👍🏼. Mine is still a work in progress. Have you got links to where I can order parts like glass and all the metal trim please? I have the discs or rotors as some people call them
Thank you 👍 If you build also the GTO, i would recommend the Tremonia Photoetch Transkit, you can find them on ebay. There are also other transkit avalible for the Bburago GTO. If you like original style wheels, i would recommend KK Scale Ferrari spoke wheels, you can also find them on ebay.
Yes, it dosen't roll. It would take to much time to make them roll, because of the very limitiert space due to the extrem wide wheels. They are glued on the modified original axle pin. For me, it don't need to roll, when a model is finished i put them in an acryl case. Parts you can find on ebay, as the photoetch parts. The seats are from an scraped F40 model.
@@jaysmodelcarcollection8338 awesome ty for answering I have a ton of 1/18 scale cars that I literally detail cleaned every week… before obtaining drivers license haha then turned into real cars… unfortunately I have fallen under some awful situations and I’m stuck home with no license no job no nothing… so was thinking of restoration some of mine.. just don’t know exactly how to obtain parts to customize. Also is I need to rewatch is that a rattle can paint job or u have an air brush more professional paint setup? Thank u for the inspiration
Hi, but this is not the 250 TR which stands for Testa Rossa. This is the GTO, build from 62-64 and it was not called Testa Rossa, it was named GTO. They share the same engine, but 250TR and 250GTO are not the same cars. But you are right regarding the "red head" story, why the 250TR was called Testa Rossa. At the end, it is Restomod and a red engine does not fit to my color concept Black/Metal/Chrome for this custom build.
These two cars exactly inspired me for this conversion. the fender is inspired by the Daytona and the front spoiler by the Jota. You have a good knowledge of car design. Thanks for the comment 😊 👍👍
Thank you for your Feedback 👍 I know, that not everybody likes the wheels, my idea was to make a Restomod conversion, that's why i have used modern looking wheels. But as you wrote... not everybody has the same taste 😊👍
Thanks for the feedback. I know that not everybody likes the wheels. The concept of this build is a Restomod, therefore i have used Xenon LEDs, modern seats, brakes and wheels to achive a modern classic look.
Sorry but you are wrong. Complete Body and old paint was sanded before, also after primer it was complet sanded again. Same way i would do with a real car. Why do you think spray can is bad? Can't understand you comment.

I know that not everybody likes the wheels, my goal was to build a Custom Restomod, in reality nobody would do that on an 250GTO 😄 That's the freedom of diecast customizing
I know that not everybody likes the wheels, my goal was to build a Custom Restomod, in reality nobody would do that on an 250GTO 😄 That's the freedom of diecast customizing. But i have mounted the wheels to be able to change them. Maybe i will try the KK Scale 250 Wheel Set.
Thanks for your feedback! I knew a comment like this would come and I apologize for transforming a design icon. I wanted to create something unique from the GTO, so instead of a restoration it became a restomod. Of course I hope that a real 250GTO will never be customized... it would really be a tragedy for a beautiful classic to do it in reality. That's the nice thing about model car conversions... you can make tons of your own creations as you like 😊👍
Sorry, nice try. I give you an "A" on effort, but a "D minus" on execution. You went out of your way to get rid of any trace of red. Why? Don't you like Ferrari Rossa Corsa ? Yes, I know that a handfull came in black, yellow, and blue. So what? And the wiring for the lights, what a rat's nest! And blobs of glue inside the headlight lens? So much work, but I'd rather have the way it came.
abstruse and useless comment based solely on your preferences. only the result counts and being the basic techniques used the result is up to par. we are not on a hyper-detail model.
You should have believed it more at the end! It looks AMAZING!! Only thing that disappointed was it went from a roller to a static model. I get it tho, all the effort and it rolls off the shelf....🤦♂️ re-resto is a lot less fun. 😂

Love your version WAY better - the wheels make a huge difference!!
yeah but if someone did this to a real 250 gto they would most certainly get smashed
I can't unsee an 250 without borani's. The borani's would've looked better.
Outstanding conversion, what a difference the larger archs and wheels make ,new subscriber

Better original wheels
Beautiful job! What did you use to widen the rear wheels?
Many thanks, do you mean the rims? The ring is custom made
Great work. May I ask, what do you use to clean?
I polish the car with sonax extem wax & polish. For the dust i have a fine and smooth brush
Awesome job!. Have you noticed any shrinking of the plastic putty with time at all?
