@@shredder9536 Hey Shredder, I'm not sure what you mean exactly. Are you saying that black people aren't usually sensible or American people/DJ's aren't. Met our lass at a oasis gig. 15 years and 2 kids later we go married and had Slide Away as our wedding song. Very fortunate to have seen the greatest band (oasis) to have ever walked the earth a few times.

This is a brilliant interview. It's great when a truly talented person meets an interviewer who knows exactly how to encourage them to talk about their talent.
That's a great album Sound of Summer the first oasis album I knew was SOTSOG (2000) and that's one of the greatest to me as well, in general I like all the next oasis albums, I thought I prefered just the songs where Liam sang and that's he was the most important member of the band, but when oasis broke up I followed both careers, I even thought that was that bad cause we would have more albums, more music but it's not about the amount, even when someone can play the guitar songs from Noel, you won't never find a music and lyiric writer like Noel and that just leave the great voice of Liam empty, I like a lot beady eye and I prefer that project over Noel's, BE will never be compared to oasis, BE is just another good band, oasis made a Legend, the great genius of Noel feels boring to me without Liam's voice and presence, they need each other. Things are very uncertain now, Liam prefered his expensive clothies instead of music, BE it's over, I think they don't talk each other since 2009 according to the official story, I think there's a possibility that they get together when they get older, maybe just for the money and just to play their old hits, I hope to be wrong, there's no another band like oasis, you can listen metal, electro, folk for example and find at least 2 similar bands, in the case of oasis you can't find no one who plays like them ironaclly not even their personal projects, they can't reach that level separated, I can hear all the time their old stuff but it will be greater to hear new tunes.
***** yes, and people should just date their own race and have babies with their own race....and women should stay at home with the baby....and no one should be able to immigrate to find a new life...purism is ridiculous. some of the best versions of songs have been acoustics of the original, rearrangements or covers. noel admits liam has a wonderful voice but noel also WROTE THOSE SONGS so he has just as much write to sing them as liam, if not MORE.
I just fkn love this interview, watched it at least 10 x now. When he’s talking about the fans not knowing what they want until you give it to them, was just spot on. And the advice to young bands, kinda ties in to the quote “ build it and they will come” It’s simple but profound. It’s so easy to over complicate things. Just do what you love and do it great, and everything else will just fall into place. That’s what I got anyway :) cheers Noel 👍
I stumbled onto this channel with the Fat Mike interview and then went to this one because it got mentioned. What a great interviewer, zero ego, gets the humour and perfectly judges the tone of each interview. Subscribed.
Chasing Yesterday: ON REPEAT and I can't stop listening to it, in it's entirety, back-to-back, countless times. I can't recall where I've felt compelled to do this with any other artist as of late. The Dying of the Light is a masterpiece of song-writing although the riff does remind me of the Verve's, Weeping Willow, just a coincidence I'm sure, but the Flying Birds is without a doubt the best incantation of backing musicians he's ever assembled and let's not forget to mention, Johnny Marr's contribution, he's really icing on this glorious cake. Hands down, Best LP of 2015. To add, the project was largely a DIY venture, risky but well-calculated. Certainly his creative instincts paid off here, goes to show it's always best to listen to your own inner-voice, always trust in your vision.
I've watched a lot of long form interviews with Noel Gallagher...but this is one of the absolute best. Most in part due to Shad giving Noel plenty of room. Showing the upmost respect and sincere interest; Shad asked thoughtful, considered, and supremely intelligent questions, which led to great tangents from Noel (always an enjoyable journey, that). Very much the same questions I'd imagine I would ask Noel, if provided that incredible opportunity. Cheers Shad!
This interviewer was brilliant, he really answered interesting questions. I have to say when I first heard it was on american radio I thought it would be shit but I was very nicely surprised.
it's annoying when brits automatically stereotype americans as 'simple' or 'stupid'--- at least 50% of us are liberal and progressives. so to say we are all war-loving gun toters that can't read is just ignorant. there are just as many americans that are internationally renowned as brilliant in their fields as there are brits. in fact, there's probably more.
It shows his humility! I honestly don't think they will ever get the band back together, but it would be nice to think they will eventually talk to each other again and be a family.
Noel is always great in interviews, honest, funny and there's nothing you can't ask him. Also, Fantastic job by Shad the interviewer, he asks the right questions, lets Noel talk, and obviously knew his stuff. Alot of the shit interviewers out there could learn so much watching this guy. Great interview all around.
I like this interviewer, I've never seen him before but I like his style. I'm a big Noel Gallagher fan and I imagine he can be a tricky interview at times, this was excellent though.
This was the first american to interview noel who I thought did a great job! He got the humour, no silly inquiries about oasis getting back together, the questions had depth - noel really had to think his answers over a few times. Well done!
Ah! The oldest Gallagher has always had something good to say in an interview. I really appreciate his points of view most of all because they're just like mine about music and everything around it. Pretty much the reason why I've followed him ever since Oasis started.
