I have the same AD20s in M4 with the slicer grind. Love it! Mine came with the cf scales and I replaced them with Original Goat Ti scales, which are REALLY nice.
I have 7 AD20’s and my favorite two are the ones your holding the 3V FFG is my favorite full size and the slicer shark is my favorite ad20S. I got the slicer shark because it’s in M4 and I didn’t have one in my Demko collection with M4. You’ll miss the 3V FFG but I understand the cash flow situation. I think you were asking 500 and I think that’s super reasonable even with the scale swap and being used. The dayglo seems to actually be more desirable
Oh really? I figured people wouldn’t like the dayglow. Yeah I know I’m gonna miss the 3V FFG.. if it doesn’t sell in a few days I might just keep it haha
Also a big Demko fan. The g10 versions are 450 table, and the ti versions are 650. Yes it is pricey but it is also an incredibly solid pocket knife. And all versions actually don’t have the *ting*. Currently I have 6 full size and two of them are slim. The only two that I have with the ting are the two you’re showcasing. Love this vid!
I have a Jade G10 M4 Slicer slim with hole and stud and Digi camo G10 CruWear clip point no slot full size and I love them both. I also have a Titanium M4 slicer slim no stud and a Titanium with CruWear clip point with hole and stud full size. With the titanium scaled versions I definitely prefer the slim blade. And I loved the double "click clack". LOL Edit: As for the cost of the AD20's verses other USA knives...the USA made Demko's are pricey but I've never had a Demko that wasn't perfect out of the box. And all my Demko's are definitely sharper than any Hinderer I have.
I’ve loved every single demko I’ve owned ASIDE from the 20.5 which feels cramped. Budget-wise, aluminum shark cub in 20cv. American made, definitely the all ti 20s. I got the g10 20s myself and swapped to ti scales. Heavy but solid af. A real workhorse.
the one that spins is just a minor tolerance discrepancy, its just slightly shorter than the other 2 so it doesn't sit flush against both scales and lock it, its not a big deal. And your new one is the "Slicer" Shape, they DO also make a Spear Point, but thats not a Spear Point, because those are National Knives Exclusives and slightly different. Why does it cost 500? Because your paying for all the research and time and effort it took to come up with the design itself. It's also hand made (essentially) by just a shop of 5 or 6 people in the United States, in a small shop. When you buy a Hinderer or some of the other knives your buying a design thats been established BEFORE they were even born, nothing "new" or inventive and no ingenunity or research and development went into it (maybe outside of the blade shape). Secondly, go grab a full textured titanium AD-20 and grab a full titanium Hinderer and then compare them. You will NEVER take the Hinderer XM 18 3.5 over that Demko despite it costing $200 cheaper, because you will be able to feel the quality differential to a high degree. Demko knives are extremely well built, and well thought out designed knives. Personally, I only buy their AD-20 and AD-20S versions in Titanium though, I hate g10 and I hate grivory,.
I mean seeing the new ad 20.5 prices with lower quality steel for under a 100 bucks, that kinda proves that the 20s can definitely be priced lower American made better steel and g10 over grivory should put this at like 300 max imo even 350 would be tolerable ... but gotta pay to play sometimes and these companies can charge whatever they want if they know people like the design so it kinda is what it is I guess lol
I'm sporting my Civivi Vision FG with the Snecx Superlock, just installed a Civivi Titanium pocket clip on it. The knife plus the pocket clip totalled $74.00. Think I'll stick with my Civivi and it's lowly black NITRO-V blade steel and grippy green Micarta scales. Bought a KUBEY Dandy in S90V and Titanium on sale for $110.00. No way am I dropping 5 C notes on this plastic handled hype.
$500 for What? This is the same issue I had with Spyderco LW knives. It took years and years to come to the conclusion that the materials are less important to me than the function of premium steel and the weight savings. Now I have 40+ heavy titanium folders that get very little pocket time. Conclusion if the knife ends up in my pocket the price is very worth it. Great Video! Thank you. 😎👍
You’ve obviously never handled one. Otherwise you’d realize the scale material is only a small part of what you’re paying for. I’ll pay this all day knowing I have the peace of mind should I need to use the warranty. I’ll pay more to know my knife WILL be fixed if anything goes wrong at that price. And considering Andy is located in the same state as me, fast turn around time. You gotta pay to play and these are definitely built to the same quality as CRK, Hinderer and others here in the US.
Nice pickup!! Id like to get my hands on either version of the AD20 sometime in the next year
I have the same AD20s in M4 with the slicer grind. Love it! Mine came with the cf scales and I replaced them with Original Goat Ti scales, which are REALLY nice.
How much weight did those add?
@@doodysdaggers They are not light, and I got the ones with the internal milling. Installed weight is 6.7 oz.
Id like to put a Demko ad20 (usa made) in the collection this year, but not sure which one yet, thanks for showing the comparison!
The AD20S is my favorite Pocket Knife. I like to install Skiff Bearings in mine. Great discussion, Bro! :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

@@doodysdaggersAnother Demko bro here. You could sell the FFG 3V with those scales instantly in the Demko group.
The 20S is the best large EDC IMO
I put your post on MC’s discord and patron hopefully you get some traction
I've never handled a Demko and I'm wondering what I'm missing. Thanks for the vid.
Also a big Demko fan. The g10 versions are 450 table, and the ti versions are 650. Yes it is pricey but it is also an incredibly solid pocket knife.

Love this vid!
Interesting, I wonder what causes the ting
I got the ad20s m4 with the slicer grind and the peel ply brown g10. Don’t regret dropping $500 for it, will be keeping it for a long time to come.
Right on man, me too!
Great video. Just got mine in AD20s from urban supply ❤
I just got to urbanedc custom Ad20s in the g10 scales (USA). What a well/over built knife!
I like the FDE Scale Color better than the Yellow Day Glow Scales. :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)
Myself, I prefer the AD20S. But, I still want a full sized AD20. :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)
Man I Need the Full Size to go with my AD20.5s!!!
Yep that’s true they’re always perfect
Did you take the FDE scales from your old one and throw em on the slim?
Oh Nevermind 🤦🏻♂️
😉
Damn I've been wanting a full-size AD-20 for forever, I'm dying to get my hands on one
Buy mine!
best sounding knife hands down
100%
I’m a massive Demko fan boy (I own a custom hand ground AD22) but I have to say the best sounding knife is hands down the Winterblade Factor.
I have the 20CV full-textured ti (Taiwan). Want the Shark Cub stealth. Getting either that or Spyderco Native 5, for secondary carry.
Where to buy these knives new?
They drop at various online retailers
I got a cub, 20.5 and I really want a ad20 but can’t afford one right now lol tough around Christmas but I know I will eventually get my hands on one
You should get whatever is available 😂 I got an AD-20 after chasing drops for nearly a year.
Haha I know, they sell out so fast!

Man the ad20s in the urban edc drops sold out fast esp the titanium one. I was eyeing on an ad20 earlier.
The contour of the handle of Demko knives has absolutely nothing in common with the handle of a Roman Gladius (sword) or Pugio (dagger).

Great comment, thanks!
You know what has Ti scales for 500? The Narrows
🤦🏻♂️🤣
Oh yeah 🤮
How much for the ad20?
$500
I have an AD20S and it does NOT ting like that! What!?!?
Wbat! Are you holding down the lockbar as it hits?
I was lucky to get a 20s those ad20 are hard to get
Yeah they’re are!
Why’s it more than every Winterblade? Cause Demko knows people will pay it. Doesn’t seem like they have any problem keeping these in stock.
Yeah they sell out very quickly
The lock is more expensive to manufacture.
I mean seeing the new ad 20.5 prices with lower quality steel for under a 100 bucks, that kinda proves that the 20s can definitely be priced lower
American made better steel and g10 over grivory should put this at like 300 max imo even 350 would be tolerable ... but gotta pay to play sometimes and these companies can charge whatever they want if they know people like the design so it kinda is what it is I guess lol
Yep. They sell out in five minutes at $500 so why would they lower it
Slim. No contest

Ad20🤤🫡👍⚔️
blade to handle ratio sucks, that is my only reservation buying one =(

@danwoods8195 Your taste may evolve and change with time. The fun is enjoying what turns you on now.
It's $500 because you paid $500, and keep saying "I really really Like it.". Why would they make em cheaper when We keep Buying them. 🔪👍😃👍🗡️
Yep why lower the price if we keep paying it
Dayglow looks nice to me but I think a Rit dye job would work well
Neither. The markup demko wants to charge for their "proprietary" lock is insane. The Vision FG or Flytaniun Arcade are WAY better values
🤨
$500 for G10? Nah.
You’ve obviously never handled one. Otherwise you’d realize the scale material is only a small part of what you’re paying for. Act like you don’t know nice knives can be pricey
With the regular AD20 grind I see no need for the slim. Keep the old one.
