Hi Guy’s, just thought I’d share my two peneth with you (no bad for tight Yorkshireman 🤣😂), we drove down to ltaly in the summer and used quite a few off-grid parking slots that we found on Park 4 Night, mainly on the edge of a village by a canal, we never got the dreaded knock, and locals would pass the time of day, we found that it was beneficial to be parked up by 4 in the afternoon, and i think you’ll probably want to be doing the same as you’ll be loosing the light by then, if your close to a village it’s good for getting fresh bread in the morning. I wish you a very safe trip.

We went to Auschwitz it is the most moving experience we have ever had It actually effected us so much that majority of the other people who were on the group tour as well as us were very quite for a few days often You could feel the energy there . At the same time I am glad we went

I’ve been to Dachau and Belsen concentration camps both were very sobering experiences. You just walk around knowing what happened in these places and automatically treat the place with respect and talk in hushed voices. It’s a sad place to go knowing how many people died there, it’s a real eye opener just how ruthless and cruel things were back then. There’s a small group of us that visit WWII historic places, we have Auschwitz on our list to visit in the future. We have been to Colditz, Stalag Luft 3 (the camp in the Great Escape) Berchtesgaden to see the Eagles Nest and loads of other places. Love the lights with the blinking eyes, can you get a sensor that switches them on if someone walks by? Imagine the shock they’d get if they suddenly lit up!
There are so many places that are “must visit “ we would like to go to many of those places too. We know it’s going to be a very sad and emotional experience visiting these places, but feel that we should. It’s so awful what happened back then, and should never be forgotten. I don’t think there is a sensor, but that like you say would be so cool
Mrs S & I did wild park up in France and Germany the last couple of Summers. I'm sure you have park for night app. It certainly helped us, I'm sure Rob will listen to your gut feelings. We only moved once because my gut feeling was telling me . We ended up in a far better place. If your travelling through France on the N10 and need a stop over, fill up with water, or a rest then give us a shout. We will have moved into our new house in!Charente by then
