Id pay so much to see this band. This band helped me survive a quarter-life crisis and drug addiction and look back and enjoy that time. All I had was an old mp3 player and this music put me to sleep in the parks I slept in.
Algernon Cadwallader, Midwest Pen Pals, and Merchant Ships are the only three bands that make me feel like I have memories from summer breaks with friends that I never knew, and I’m okay with that. We’re just a different breed.
my jerk friend made me leave the show before these guys played. i later found out that parrot flies was one of the best albums i'd heard in years, and that they broke up like right after that tour. at least i got to see snowing and 1994!

Pierce fucking Jordan of SOUL GLO at 11:00 I love the shit out of these two bands and here he is directly in the video that got me into Algernon… The world is a cool place sometimes
Playing songs from their second album here. Last year or so of the band before they split up. That second album was just as great as the first one. Emo band ending after two amazing albums is fitting.
DADEc#e, that's what these dudes use. Open tunings in general will change your style and open up that mind. Not to mention counting time signatures with a drummer or click track. And as always practice every day as much as you can
Doc Hunsucker Hahahahaha, that is funny, I play it in the signature tuning of DAEAC#e with a capo on the second fret. Then the first chord looks something like, I can put up a tutorial some time. e---12 C#-10 A---9 E---0 A---0 D---0
can someone help me figure out what position the pickup switch on that telecaster is in? i've heard its usually in the neck, but if anyones has better eyesight than me it'd be appreciated

Glad you made it out of that situation, man. Keep on keeping on.
The world is a better place with you in it, bro.
you're killing it bro, keep it up
Glad to know you're doing great. I still have faith they're going to reunite one day...
I’ve seen em so many times, even played in bands with them… was one of the best times of my life, I’m glad they could help you, bless
Guitarist is fucking dope. Crowd energy is amazing. This is the point of it all.
Just seen em on the 25th, can confirm, crowd surfing n stage diving in full effect.
Git in the pit!
This really is the point of it all.
the guitarist for this band is nuts.

Holy shit it's Jake from modern baseball
Is it actually him?
Fun fact, your comment is the reason i started listening to Modern Baseball. First time i heard about them.
that's crazy lmfao...
is it
Preservatives didn't get the love it deserved here, one of the best Algernon tunes ever imo

The best band I have heard in years. Such a shame they split.

Honestly, Algernon Cadwallader puts the power in power trio. Every member hits it so hard.
As do almost all great bands
IMO each guy in this group is vital. An absolute unit
