A BRUCKNER A MONTH
In the former subtropical swimming paradise, Tropicana, metaphorically speaking being a graveyard of what once was a place full of life and joy, we found a very special place to make a video of the third piece in our series: Am Grabe (WAB 2). Bruckner wrote this elegy in 1861 and it is originally set for male choir a capella. The piece was dedicated to and performed on the funeral of Josephine Hafferl.
