- This video shows my tips for Damier Azure Color Transfer prevention & Cleaning. Also see my Vachetta care on 8-year-old Louis Vuitton Noe GM. A style with a significant amount of vachetta. This video shows how to prevent color transfer and clean Damier Azure canvas. Protect Vachetta safely with test cleaning and conditioning. Damier Azure Canvas has special cleaning needs so does the Vachetta on a Noe GM, look at how with proper maintenance your Noe can look! Lasting for generations. This is how I keep mine looking bright and clean. After wearing my Noe GM for 2-3 weeks I see color transfer on the canvas, vachetta and interior. This video will show you the steps I take to keep my 2012 Noe looking fresh and new!
For the interior I wipe out and spot treat with Folex, a powerful,yet gentle upholstry cleaner.
I use white vinegar and water to do initial cleaning on exterior. The ratio is about 10-20% white vinegar to water. The mixture cleans and freshens without over drying.
I also use Cadillac Conditioner and Saddle Butter for the vachetta. The Cadillac to condition and shine the canvas.

For Cigarette smoke ... you can dump a lot baking powder s drop of essential oil wrap it in a bag .... vacumn it out after a week it works !

@@Sissy14512 Hi there. Have you tried baking soda? I haven't but it just came to mind as I know baking soda is great for cleaning stains. Damp your finger in water and immediately put it in some Arm and Hammer Baking Soda so it collects on your finger and just go immediately in and start rubbing in the area and get a white clean cloth to wipe the residue off and repeat but pay close attention as you go that you are not rubbing the print away. It doesn't have much abrasion at all. I hope that works. Please report back if it does and do a test spot first
Hi there! Thank you for your review! Do you think it's ok to put a light layer of leather conditioner (oil and silicone free) on the azur canvas? I want to keep the canvas from drying out and perhaps have a barrier on it so if I get color transfer on it, it may be easier to remove.
New subscriber here, happy I found you! I bought vintage LV Ellipse the handles have slight dirt from hand oils would you use the water and vinegar to clean and then condition? Also should I clean rest of vachetti? 2 tabs have marks on them, 1 water other looks like fingernail scratch.
Chirp Chirp thanks for subscribing! Yes I would clean the entire bag. The vinegar also has sanitizing properties so it will help clean and reduce any odors. It’s mild and there are other options out there but depending on the condition I like to start light with products. Feel free to ask me questions along your cleaning “journey” lol

Thanks for this awesome video! I’m not sure if you or anyone is still responding to comments on this thread but I have Takashi Murakami White Monogram Multicolore Speedy 30. It was made in 2014 so should have been well after a previously known defect of bleeding red liner was supposed to be resolved. However I just discovered the front pocket to badly have the dye transfer issue. I am wondering what you would suggest as the dye was not rubbed onto the canvas but rather seeped through the canvas and dyed it pink.... I’m SO devastated!! I took it to the LV store but they can’t repair or replace because it’s been discontinued and the canvas is no longer available. They could only offer to exchange it for a different bag but I’m not ready to give up on it as it’s one of my most prized pieces in my collection. I’m hoping there’s a way to diminish the damage ...

Please do not use magic eraser! I have y husbands old white t shirts and microfiber cloths. If you’d like to send me pics of what you are trying to clean I would be happy to help.

From Jen with Hope The Magic Eraser actually acts like sandpaper leaving the vachetta dry and rough...it may appear clean but once you use the leather will be super porous and absorb color right away. It can lead to cracks too. Sometimes the patina of the leather (natural aging) is considered dirty but it’s not. I clean and if necessary condition the leather to keep the patina even. This also helps prevent water spots. The canvas cleans up nice with the zone and a soft tooth brush.

I have to try the vinegar method to remove color transfer! Also the soap and toothbrush is interesting, I personally find it pretty difficult to get good reach in the ”texture” of the canvas. New subscriber here, love your videos!😍
Thanks for subscribing! Try it! Really works for me for light cleaning. I have a huge bin of products I have tried that just don’t work or darken the bag...frankly these are the most affordable. I;d like to try the gel you recommended hoping to find in the states.

Hi there! Thank you for the great video!Would you say that the leather on the rim is thinner or different than the one on the Neverfulls? I recently bought a Noe in Damier Azur and had the upper layer of the vachetta on the top of the bag rubbed off very quickly at some places. Looks like they just use some kind of bonded leather there. Also feels different than the rim on my Neverfull.
Reggie thanks for watching! The top trim of the Noe takes a lot of wear and tear due to the style of the bag and how it closes. This is why I think it often have cracks or tears. On the flip side I have seen Noe that are 30 years old and the trim is still in great shape and a year-old NF that is torn up. I don’t think the leather is thinner or different type. What year is your Noe?
@@LVReLoved Thank you so much for getting back to me! It is from 2019 while my Neverfull is from 2017. It felt a bit different right from the beginning. I'd say "drier", more paper like. When you raise the edge of the trim a bit, you see that it is a very very thin layer of leather with some sort of fabric underneath. This usually speaks for bonded leather which would in my opinion be unacceptable for the money. The leather trim on my Neverfull is thicker and more "buttery".
Reggie that is not usual, is it actually cracking? Can you send me pictures? This may be a defect.

Smelleze corpse odor remover. It’s used by mortuaries and taxidermists for removing the absolute most horrid of odors. You can get it on amazon.

I know right 🤢 smelleze make multiple different odor removers but friends in the mortuary business swear this removes every odor known to man 😄

When I use the soap and tooth brush should I wet either the brush or Zote or both? I do have stains from my blue jeans and it's been sitting for about a month so which is better the white vinegar or soap? Help!
monica wet your toothbrush first and try not to get the leather wet. The canvas is durable yet the cleaner is mild but effective. Try both zote and vinegar water to see which is more effective!

Would you be ok just using Cadillac to condition after the white vinager and water? Also do you recommend the same treatment for older stains on the Vachetta?
Ash Ann I would! The water is the mildest treatment and for older stains you can always try something stonger
LV ReLoved ok wonderful i appreciate that. I’ve been having trouble deciding between buying this exact bag brand new or preloved. I love new handbags but i also know they are prone to get dirty. It may be a better route to just go preloved and save the money.
You may be able to find pre-loved in really nice condition. They are a bit rare but if you find one let me see pics would love to help you find one!
Always keep posted! I rotate my bags out so you never know my Noe may be available one day.

Hi! My Speedy 30 is 10 years old and the handles are a lot darker and canvas are looking a little dull :( Is it safe to use "distilled vinegar" and water or should I only use "white vinegar" and water? Also the inside of my bag is a little more darker, what do you recommend on using to "deep clean" it?
Katrina Yamzon Hi Katrina! I have only used the white vinegar. Don't get the handles too wet. You may need to let the handles dry between cleanings.

maureen Kosmicki i don’t use baby wipes. Either water or just a hint of white vinegar. Wipes have chemicals, or lotions sometimes rubbing alcohol.
