Аnn, played the best move. Capturing the pawn leads to bishop g4, if Qe1 then rook royal forks her. So only move is Q f2, however you put your queen on disfunctional square being pinned by the dark bishop, with threat of rook E1. Also some people say that they analized it with an engine and it says that f3 was the best move and taking the pawn leads to loss of the white queen. Personally I can't see that far, but it seems super nasty to play for white.

I just played a game. I was up a rook and knight. And my opponent made a draw with the queen, whilst I still had my queen on board. Yep I cried 👍👍👍. (Kidding, didn't cry but lost rating)
Yeah... how often do we see a game when only one player has the queen, which is pretty much stuck babysitting a single square, and the other player's king has virtually free run of the board?
When you go Bishop to C2 white should go Queen D5 check. Black capture G3. White promote Queen E8. and you are winning for white ? If the black go Queen to A1 check. White block with queen A2. White as well block mat B3 or do i miss something ?

Max looks maybe to be the next Bobby Fisher. WOW. What a game to watch. excellent narration as always . Mistake as I see it was pushing her f2 pawn to f3. She had to capture the black e3 pawn. Somehow it seems Max anticipated her move to f3.
Congratulations on the success of your channel. My son and I have been watching you for sometime and find you to be the true ambassador of modern chess.
Thanks, I wondered why she didn't capture it in the first place. Still, she could've sacked the rook for a bishop and that pawn and it's good night for Max🤷♂️
Ye i also noticed that but i saw the back rank and that the bishop could pin the queen to the square the rook would go so i knew bg4 was something but not exactly what
Hi Agadmator great video! at 7:28, black wouldn't need to worry about the light squared bishop being captured because of the black pawn promote and back rank mate
In 7:30 you say that the black bishop "goes back, you have to defend it". I guess you mean from the attack from the white queen, however if you play something else (like bishop to e3 for example), the moment that queen captures on c4 e2 promotes with checkmate. I am not an expert, what have I missed?
0:45 "And here, bishop to c5, Max saying: 'do you wanna see me throbbing?'." 0:48 "Annmarie goes knight to b3, simply rejecting Max' invitation, and the game continues as usual with...."
Consider the position at 15:54. Why does Qh1+ not save white? Qh1+, Kxg3, Qe1+ (if Kxf4 or Bf2, Qxe2)... tho, Kxf4 looks more complicated, after Qxe2, consider maybe Qh2+ or Qd2+... the dark squared bishop should be stuck on the a3-f8 diagonal watching the pawn, right? And if black ever retreats, are there not any perpetual checks (in coming back the same way he came to get the two white pawns)?
7:53 Why wouldnt white just play pawn to b3 (followed by pawn to c4 if the bishop moves to the a or b file) in order to block the light squared bishop from defending the pass pawn?
10:14 why wouldn't the later path (explained at 12:02, Qh1+ Qd5+ Qxd3) work here? Does it matter that the king is allowed access to the pawns? 14:57 but, but... Be3 _doesn't_ cover e7 anymore... I suppose the real counter to e7 is Bc6?
Because then white has Bg4 with a winning attack. If Qe1 then Rd1+ wins back the queen and white is up a bishop. If the queen moves away, then after Rd1+ and Nc1 blocking white has a lot of threats, like Nxe4 followed by Nd2+. Really don't know why Agad didn't show that
6:41 could somebody tell me what is wrong with b3 kicking the bishop back to b5 or a6. Then playing c4. you would block the protection of the pass pawn.
Hello Agad, love your channel. Thank you for the great content. I was wondering what would happen if black's dangerous pawn was captured by white's F pawn right away. I know it would mess up the pawn structure but maybe it would be worth it to avoid all the trouble of guarding the pawn for the rest of the game?
14:38 isn‘t black‘s move a huge blunder? Because (and I may very well have overlooked something, because I‘m a beginner) Qxe4 comes with Check, which can only be defended by Bd4, followed by Qxe2, which wins the game for white, am I right?
13:46 Can someone smarter than I explain why Max can not push b4 in this position? I thought b4 was the best move as the bishop is covering the (white) passed pawn from pushing and would defend the pawn. If white does not take (cxb4) Black then has two passed pawns right? If white takes then the bishop takes and attacks the queen, right?
wow!!! what a finish!!! for a while, i thought the game was drawn, but Max FINALLY found an opening in white's fortress and broke through... what a game... outlasting an opponent with a -270 rating pt differential.
Damn bro, I started learning chess I think 1-2 years ago and started watching your channel when it was very new! The content was amazing I'm so happy you have found success. Cheers from New York
At 7:28 You said, that the bishop c4 needs protection, but wouldn't it be the best thing if the queen would take it? Because you could just promote the paw with mate, right, the queen can never ever leave the black diagonal ;) Really nice game! looking forward to all the other contenders for best [...] 2021 :D
Turns out pushing f3 is the best move recommended by the engine. Capturing leads to loss of the queen and then the 2 central pawns are very vulnerable.
@agadmator: at 6:46 why not pawn to B3. Blacks Bishop has to move. When it moves to protect its forward E pawn you play : Pawn to C4. That black E pawn is mine with 2-3 tempos on blacks bishops. What am I missing??
15:42 In his example here, can someone help me understand why this is a losing position for white? It's her turn once the bishop comes to c2. If the white queen moves to d5 check, then a2 after the king moves (or bishop intercepts on e4), I believe this initiates a series of moves that will lead to a queen exchange (opening up for the queened pawn), or perhaps an eventual draw. I'm sure I'm missing something. Anyone have thoughts on this?
What happens at 15:43 if white Qe3check, king takes and white promote to new queen with check, or Qe3 check, king g2, Qe2 check, king goes somewhere, Qxc2, black Qxc2 (or something else, white promotes to queen? Black will win in each case, or one of these is a draw?
At 15:10, instead of Qb1+, why not Kb3? If black tries Be3; e7 Bd2; Qb1+ Ke3; e8-Q and what can black do? Kf2; Qa1 seems winning for white. What did I miss?
I’m curious, I’m not a pro so I’m wondering why white couldn’t have played at 7:56 pawn to b2 forcing the bishop back then pawn to c4 to cut the bishop off that pawn to win it.
