Hi Again, Superb, many thanks. I'm frustrated not to be able to communicate more directly. I subscribed to your channel because of my historic relationship with the Staithes area from 1958, and have now ordered your book (yes?) on its history. Slightly weird to discover a link through TQ too, 62 years later. A brilliant rendition of a lovely song, with Whitby Abbey as the backdrop. Thanks very much. Stu
Thanks for posting this. I live in Torquay now and had no knowledge of this era and its people. Fascinating to learn more, and to set this in the context of the town's extensive English diversity. The soundtrack song is superb too, and far better than other versions available on iTunes nowadays (this version is not available there it seems). Now looking for the Golden Horseman book - not available either, even on Amazon and World of Books. Thank you again.
Mr. Studebaker, I'm afraid The Golden Horseman has been out of print for some 40 years - but you might find a copy on EBay. Failing that, there are two copies in the reference section of Torquay library. If you would like a copy of my band's version of 'I'd Rather Go Blind' then, if I had your Email, it might be possible to send you a copy.
@@onthegoldenline Thanks for getting in touch. I'll seek out the copies at the Library as you suggest. Thanks too for the offer of the song. I can't find a way to send you my email that is not Public. I think my Chrome has an option to copy YT soundtracks, and will try that first if that is acceptable to you. The whole Copyright issue in YT seems very "flexible", but that must pain creators. If it works, I'll be pleased to pay the owner/you somehow. Thanks.
Dear Mr. Studebaker, please find attached he following TH-cam item which may solve your problem: th-cam.com/video/MA2Z_B74bfc/w-d-xo.html I wouldn't dream of any payment!

Good photos but perhaps it would have been better to put some jazz from their time as background instead
I am probably the father to hundreds of young women and men in Torquay so if you have blue eyes and dark hair you could be one of mine.
Здравствуй, папа.
