The funny thing is that he actually believes in Steph Curry but has became a complete sell out for ratings to become equivalent to skip hating on Bron. Before he went to first take he was saying it should be Steph in the new Space Jam instead and that we were all living in Steph’s world. You can never trust that these guy’s tv opinion is their actual belief.

i just realized that. Curry: told would not be a good fit because of lack of size, athleticism, true point guard ability. Klay: too one sided. Draymond: low scoring capability, told would not flourish in NBA. Wiggins: Former first pick, most hype since lebron, called bust for many years, lost motivation until playing fordubs. GP2, injuries, lack of size, bad scoring capabilities, pressure because of NBA player son, in and out g league for many years. Porter: in and out of g leauge for years, trouble finding spot after leaving wizards. Bjelica: Trouble finding spot after t wolves, in and out g league. Looney: operations on both hips, most injuries outt of probably everyone here. True warriors indeed

I couldn't believe those takes following the Wiggins trade, I thought it would be plainly obvious that Wiggins is the perfect addition and successor to the Harrison Barnes/Kevin Durant SF role on the Dubs. The only thing Wiggins needed was time to learn the system and change his mentality and approach to the game which the Warriors had because of their injuries. The fact that it was conventional wisdom that it was a bad move really speak to the incredibly low level of analysis that we as sports fans have to deal with on a daily basis.

I think what this championship did more than any of the others was prove how important CULTURE is to winning. We knew about Steph, about Klay, about Dre. When you can bring Andrew Wiggins, and get that kind of production out of him when Minnesota was such a rough go for him? That’s what great culture does. You think he would have excelled on the lakers? On the nets? We all know Steph is huge for that, and he’s the engine that brings it all together, but I do think this chip will really enhance Steve Kerr’s legacy as much as anyone else’s.

All the players show love for each other, the players know their role, lots of selfless actions, even Steph came off the bench to start the playoffs, there doesn't appear to be any petty dramas.

Yes, back in the mid 10s. GSW was one of those teams that only happen once every 10 years or so. When they got injured and lost KD + their depth. I didn't think they lost who they were. I always thought if they built around Curry, Thompson, and Draymond like before. They would have a shot.
If you remember in 2015. Their bench was almost as good as the starters as far as production. They ran an offense that was one step ahead of everyone else.
So if they found those same pieces. Why couldn't they do it again?
2015 depth: Barnes, Bogut, Barbosa, Livingston, West, Speights, Iguodala, etc.
2022 depth: Wiggins, Looney, Poole, Bjelica, Payton, Porter Jr, Kuminga, etc.
I honestly think the system brings out the best out of players who are out to prove something. Both lists are full of players who had nowhere else to go but bought in and lasted years more than if they were on other teams.

Max was the only one from out of all of them that got the take right. That's why I fucks with Max. People used to make fun of the man when he said certain things but Max is a real one and that's my guy. Respect goes out to him. That's because max looks from a logical perspective and observes the game thoroughly while everyone else looks from an emotional point of view. The only thing I hated that max did was worship Jordan. Other than that, he always observed with depth. I'd be the contrarian with people I talk to and they'd ridicule me the same way people do him. It was funny eventually seeing people warm up to him as opposed to siding with SAS. Max was the only real reason I continued watching First Take.

That's why the checkbook take from the hot air balloon was so bad. This team is full of players any other team could've had before they came to the Warriors, and the one big contract player they traded for was a "bust" on the worst contract in the NBA

Poison contract from other teams yes but definitely a gold mine from GSW's culture. Reason why analysts & pundits most of the time have overlooked the beauty of its process as they so enamored by Lebron's style of team formation. This championship is sweet by any standards knowing that each player is on the same page may it be superstars & role players alike.
