Great tips, but what about SDG&E sneaking around NEM 2.0 by charging everyone a large fee just to connect, and reducing the price per kWh? Those who don't have solar will pay more or less what they pay now, but those who have solar will have to pay a substantial bill each month even if they purchased a system large enough to cover all of their electricity needs. This reduces the value of solar for everyone, and pretty much doubles the time for return on investment, which is bad enough for those stuck with NEM 3.0. Looks like those who rushed to lock in NEM 2.0 effectively got scammed, as well. Maybe it is no longer worthwhile to get solar in California.
jTwo questions (great video as always, Dan).... (1) I am wondering if all or most of the solar panel economy is from China, and if so, why would US workers & companies not be making them (assuming that's true)? Question (2) are there any dangers with these storage batteries, environmental or otherwise?). Thanks. JTC

SDG&E just raised peak rates to $0.81! NEM 3.0 put a dent in the value proposition, but there is still a benefit to be had! Great video!
