This show was far too silly for such character growth, but DAMN would it have been cinematic as hell to go from her bumbling self to the greatest magician ever. I agree with this headcanon completely.

The more I listen to this song, the more I realize how much of an absolute masterpiece this is. This is why I love Triple-Q's mashups so much. He takes two songs that harmonize with each other really well and then blends them together on an even higher level. And yet I can still hear the distinct parts that come from each song.
Actually tho. Prolly on my 20th listen now, and it's unironically one of my new favorite songs. So triumphant

I wish this show had some real substance to its story. I would love to see her slowly become a better magician over time, but it's just a series of very short comedy pieces that don't satisfy my hunger for good story.

The joke is she actually is a master magician, she just has crippling stage fright. One chapter had the boy hide in the club room and when she came by and thought she was practicing by herself she executed all her tricks perfectly.

It was ten years after they graduated, Our Magical Sempai, somehow, has received a invitation to perform her magic infront of a large crowd, larger that she could've ever imagined. It was international for pete's sakes! She was just an amatuer! She told herself.
Then, her ever lovely assistant ever so lovingly slapped some senses to our large chested senpai, saying that she can pull this off if she kept trying. Woo'ed by his words, she accepts.
So here she was, in front of a crowd, multitude of cameras on her. Sweat began to form.
At the front of the massive crowd was our dear assistant, he smiled at her, giving her a thumbs up and say, "You can do it, senpai!" Despite the loudness of the crowd, she heard his words.
And so she performs.
This is beautiful, absolutely magical man!
This makes me imagine the parts that Hugh Jackman and Zack Efron sing is actually her assistant

I'm not the greatest appreciator of art in the world by any means.
But this climax is legendary. I got chills so strong I had to put on a jacket.
Arguably better than the original. Hearing all the gaps that are meant to build suspense kinda leaves a single split second too much of empty void. The Dame Dame fills it with cute anime vibes. VERY strongly pushes it to one of my favorite songs on the internet.

This is the song that plays during the finale of the magical sempai movie, during her worldwide performance. The movie was a series of wacky hijinks that revolved around finally get rid of stage fright. The visuals for this song are a montage of her performing different tricks. At the end of the song there's silence, followed by applause by everyone, this is her moment in the sun. She takes a bow only for her pants to rip down the back and she has to rush off stage before she exposes her ass to live television.
She's doing her best, and that's what's important.
Maybe the real magic was the Senpai we met along the way.
