My daughter, who's 9 almost 10, has been begging me to see this since we saw the preview. Finally saw it last night. Needless to say we are seeing it a few more times before it leaves the theater. I honestly was not expecting what we saw last night.... I love musicals, but not in movie form. This one changed my thoughts! Run, don't walk to see this in the theater!!!!!!! Here is the deal: If musicals are a special thing in your life, ask your Dad to accompany you as a birthday present to a LIVE performance. If the play is good he will forget his grounded life and live inside the play for those precious moments, and like most great performances, he will be transformed. How close are you to Broadway? Also the official Broadway on tour has all the Broadway actors, and are just as good as the NYC performances. (And yes, listen to Elise here: Play the dang Hamilton soundtrack!)
I only see three scenarios and I want all of them: -Joke with Deadpool saying "it is you, look" - Wolverine with a music casette leading a charge of cameos starting with the "colossal we came this renegades in the rain" (that can go as a pay off of scenario one) -A post-credit scene with Jackman singing this meanwhile other actor of Marvel/MCU made the chorus and dancing (imposible, but I kinda want this to be the one)
This song has to be used in an X Men and DP/WOLVIE variant filled action sequence (reminscent of the portal seen in Endgame) at the end of the film against Casandra Nova where Wolvie just starts singing. I hope Headpool does the vocals at 3:23 mark and that they sound the same whilst looking up in a panning to an overheard shot. I know they won't do this but this is what I would have done.
I just got back from seeing this movie and I'm totally blown away by how beautiful the music was! The score, the story, the camerawork, EVERYTHING WAS GORGEOUS!! This film was MAGIC!!

Best song in the film I thought, it was such a great way to open up the film and grab the audience's attention, I love how they made it so that the audience was including in the opening number, the beginning had such a strong bass and beat to it and I'm a sucker for that, not to mention Hugh Jackman, Zendaya, Keala Settle, and Zac Efron killing it on those vocals 😍
I know! It's just too bad that they split it up over three scenes - as perfectly as it worked in the movie, and as much as I loved that, it's kinda inconvenient when I want to find a video showing 'the greatest show song scene' or the like... oh well, worth it.
I actually just saw the movie this morning at an early screening and I must say that this truly is the Greatest Show! I loved everything about this movie! The songs, the choreography, literally everything in this movie I loved and those excited to see it will not be disappointed!

This song and frankly the movie is great (the GREATEST show).But it can also be very sad at moments like when his father dies when he is a kid. I just finished playing the song a million dreams in my middle school band and don't think we are bad because we are Middle schoolers we are really good and when we would play it it would always make me think of this song.I'm very sorry for your loss and may your mother RIP.

Watched this movie last night and HOLY SHIT. People were standing and clapping when the credits were rolling. This is the best movie i have ever seen in my LIFE. I have goosebumps right now just thinking about it.

People didn’t like this movie because it was not historically accurate, but when I saw it the first time, I did not know the it was based on real events, so I really enjoyed the movie.

The movie probably wouldn't have gotten the bad rap it did if they hadn't called Hugh Jackman's character PT Barnum. He could have been random circus owner and the movie would have been fine.
@@mattfenske9132 yeah, but PT Barnum sucks like terrible dude. You can have the exact same movie and just change the names especially because they gave basically zero fucks about historical accuracy. For this movie to be recieved better it would have need to have done one of two things. Change all the characters name and it just be heavily inspired by PT Barnum's life without it actually being his so they could not care about historical accuracy and make it this feel good kids movie with the acceptance message that they wanted to. The other option is to have it show how much of a dick Barnum was and not give him a happy ending that he doesn't deserve or earn or at least show he doesn't deserve whatever happy ending he does end up getting. He can't be portrayed as positively as he was if this is about his life
I am impressed. It's almost impossible to believe something this great exists. In a world where there's a lot of music that belongs in the trash, this amazes me beyond words. I can't describe the amount of talent in this song.

LOL. Hugh Jackman is the featured singer of this number. The others, including Effron, only have small parts at the end. Effron is just a supporting singer and actor. Hugh Jackman is the lead actor and star of the movie. Effron doesn't sing one number in this movie by himself. I doubt that he could sing a full song by himself, unless it was "Mary Had a Little Lamb."

For this movie to be recieved better it would have need to have done one of two things. Change all the characters name and it just be heavily inspired by PT Barnum's life without it actually being his so they could not care about historical accuracy and make it this feel good kids movie with the acceptance message that they wanted to. The other option is to have it show how much of a dick Barnum was and not give him a happy ending that he doesn't deserve or earn or at least show he doesn't deserve whatever happy ending he does end up getting. He can't be portrayed as positively as he was if this is about his life

Hugh Jackman is the lead actor and star of the movie. Effron doesn't sing one number in this movie by himself. I doubt that he could sing a full song by himself, unless it was "Mary Had a Little Lamb."

i recommend this movie for the people who want to get into musicals because this is a good example of a great musical that actually isn't just about romance it is based of a real story
