I'm off on my hols guys, so gives me much more time to interact with all of you. Feel free to ask questions, I'll answer all I'm able to in the coming days. Thanks for the support.
It's great to see proper british engineering isn't dead. Most stuff comes from overseas, but CMS are keeping british built alive with all their cnc machines. It is also handy if you need something quick as it is only a couple of hours' drive from you, Baz. As usual, another educational insight into how much abuse and damage buckets and equipment get in the plant hire buisness.
CMS well that took me back 50 years when i was a apprentice my time Time passes quickly great content as always director you always give us amazing videos .
That shed reminds me of a job we did for BOC in Edmonton Nlondon , they bought a second hand ship building “shed” from the Tyneside area , there were artics and cranes working at both ends 24 hrs for about 2.5 weeks , after a month of the madness we got a few bus bars powered up and then got the gantry cranes under power , great project , happy to see some big stuff still,on in England ! The plasma table we put in was the size of a tennis court and the operators name was BERNIE 😁
25:19 yes please wow what a place maybe us brits are still amazing engineers!!love that it’s a family run supporting British economy and all them staff awesome episode!!!!!!
Those beds in the technical centre for the measurements I used to deliver those to the automotive industry including F1, they had a grid system milled into them and used to bring them back for re milling after a couple of years use. Also all the best to Luke for the future.
That CMS is an amazing setup. I thought all our heavy engineering skills and manufacturing had long gone. So refreshing to see there is life after death for manufacturing. That loco con rod was beautiful world class engineering. Great video Baz & Co. Thank you.
Fantastic video mate love all your content nice to see you and your daughter a great dad you are have a fantastic holiday stay safe all at the foxes group. 👍👍👍👍👍
Good day- I live in the States and have been curious about the use of Propane instead of Acetylene. Cutting Edge Engineering in AU also uses Propane. I was wondering if it was regulation or personal decision and that question has being answered. I personally have never seen Propane used here. Great content here. Love the musical clips. Have a good day.
Excuse me if this is a stupid comment, but could you have a piece on the end of the exhaust so it points downwards to help prevent water getting inside? I guess it would increase the back pressure in the exhaust that may cause other issues
I use to work across the road from them at bardon quarry use to work nights maintaining the conveyor belts and rollers did it for 5 years before I went to hydraquip hose and hydraulics
Flaps on the exhaust must be more economical than fixing them all the while as well as them nor being out on the road. Do one as a sample to see if it works. Very good to see CMS doing what they do in engineering terms especially the CNC machine shop. It takes me back a few years to my earlier life before CNC's.
CMS was an amazing amount of video to watch. That place is phenomenal! I absolutely loved how you tried to hire that guy on the crane loading your trailer. I know you were just kidding but it was funny. Love the content please keep it coming.
Great episode 👍👍 Definitely more CMS content please. The shot of you driving the job into the workshop on the forklift reminds me of another channel 😁 All the best, Paul
Would love to see more of that company, very interesting, never seen machining centres of that size , didn’t know existed in such a large format !!!!!!!
Another fab week with the lads. Nice to see Baz and the director in my home town of Leicester at cms. Have a cracking week off Baz what ever you do, you deserve it lad
What a cracking place CMS is good to see what still can be made in the UK and exported globally Great content as always Director and you Baz as always Stay Safe and crack on to the next episode
Great video, would love a more in depth tour of that machine shop, especially some of the larger VTLs and machining centres - both old and new gear too! Maybe bring arvin down too ;)
HOLIDAY???? How dare you😂😂, I love the gas axe/hot spanner, shame Luke is leaving but can’t hold the boy back, good that you’re leaving door open for him and as you say good lads are hard to get nowadays, I’m nightshift tech fixing high speed passenger trains and can honestly say there is a few lads that would struggle out in the big bad non railway world, shout out to all the lads that are on camera and the ones who are shy too
C M S yes more of this place here in Aus i don't think you would find anything of this magnitude still here but on much smaller scale thanks for showing us also the type of work you do i am unsure of what type of company you are i get the drift it's a hire company and you are the maintenance guy along with your crew must be quits a large concern to have so many maintenance crews mabie a toure of your own company show us just what type of equipment and size any way thanks and Cheers
\Hi Baz - good show, as usual. That CMS set-up is seriously impressive - imagine the fun your mate Curtis (Cutting Edge Engineering) could have with that kit. Keep it up - love the varied content. Good luck with the channel!
Crusher manganese steels in Coalville just up the road from me 👍 worked just up the road from them prior to setting up my business 15 years ago. Did you stop by pegson in Coalville while you were there?
Hi just to say Hitachi should address that problem with the bending linkages they should go back to the older system from the last 20 years that system that is in them now looks like the way older system from the 80s and early 90s great content as always keep up the good work thanks
Hi Bazz and Director. Another great episode full of new content. That C.M.S tour was something else looking for to another one. Can you have an open day so all us wannabe can play with machines lol. Stay safe and have a great holiday.
i drove a few 953 cats the bottom of the clam needs a grader cutting edge welding on so when it wears it seperates as so not degrade the original content of the bucket allso a few wear plates on the middle as it looks thin they are a powerfull track shovel and i have seen the bottom fall out before now despite please for some welding angus
that end tip that was sitting up looks like a jcb tip they fit slightly different and aren't interchangeable on a new shank its funny you mentioning glen sanda am literally looking over the bay at it
I'm off on my hols guys, so gives me much more time to interact with all of you. Feel free to ask questions, I'll answer all I'm able to in the coming days. Thanks for the support.
CMS.... what a place!! More please 👌👌🤙
I'm glad you had a look at the 3D scanning; that stuff is just about magical.
It's great to see proper british engineering isn't dead. Most stuff comes from overseas, but CMS are keeping british built alive with all their cnc machines. CMS is a very impressive place, great to see some heavy engineering going on. As usual, great content young man!
It really is!
One thing about it Baz is all this breakage from the abuse of the equipment sure does make for job security no matter how frustrating it is
Yep always busy
Those beds in the technical centre for the measurements I used to deliver those to the automotive industry including F1, they had a grid system milled into them and used to bring them back for re milling after a couple of years use.

@@welderfabber yep been there a couple of times working was quite impressive I think mount sorrel was more impressive though it was pretty big
If they can machine out a con rod for a loco , can they machine out link arms for the end of a bucket ram of a digger
Anything is possible of these men
Hope you can bill the Fox at the full rate for those frames. No friends and family discounts, Callum and Jay's Quality is top stuff.
The frames aren’t for Mr Fox,they’re for Andy Duckett a co owner.
I don't think you'd ever get Arvin out of that place 😆😆😆
Trip round the machine shop was amazing
