- In this video we take a look at the rear brake calipers as fitted to the Proton Gen2 in 3 segments.
1. How to swap your old handbrake hardware onto a new replacement caliper.
2. How to use long-nosed pliers and a piece of metal tubing to make your own wind-back tool for the piston.
3. Stripdown, look at the internal mechanism. Piston seal replacement.
Hi, do you know where i can buy the break caliper online, or can you ship one for me to Mauritius. Thanks
I can ship one from UK to Mauritius but it weighs around 2.4kg so will be expensive.
Hey man, just found your channel, I'll subscribe :D
I was wondering, I recently bought a set of used manual pedals for this car, and googling the parts online, very specifically the brake pump, and I noticed that they don't come with a rod/shaft to connect it to the break pedal. Do you have any advise for this? My pedals did not come with a rod/shaft
Having looked at the diagram of parts I can tell you that the rod is part of the brake servo assembly on this model. it has a kind of forked end with a hole in it which you put a bar through and put a split pin through the bar to stop it falling out.
Is there after market 2 pot for gen2 rear brake.
unfortunately, no.
How to take out the inside caliper..?
you mean the piston? turn the piston clockwise. to put the piston in, turn anticlockwise
