I went from a 1.6 Diesel Grand Scenic to a 1.6 petrol plug in hybrid Captur and the Captur has impressed me but I'm now looking to buy the Austral. I went for a test drive a few weeks ago and it is an awesome car. Felt very Premium compared to my Captur 👍
We went from a top spec petrol Kadjar to the mid spec Austral and loving it so far - the kids miss the Moonroof but I love driving this. I've driven the Qashqai and I find the steering quite heavy on those.
As a current Kadjar owner, I have the 1.6 diesel which has a fair bit of muscle for overtaking and is reasonably thrifty on the diesel so if I'm going hybrid on my next car I must admit I am tempted into this one and was very keen to hear your thoughts on it especially having watched your review in Spain before it came to us. I think I'll probably keep my eye out for the techno esprit alpine or possibly the one below it as an ex demo model so I can save myself a bit of money.
I think for the money and the main customer demographic- you expect comfort and you expect noise dampening…. so like everything else , but can’t justify it.

They should've put motor on the rear axle to have all wheel drive.
How easy is to drive in narrow streets in the town? Is it easy to park? Are the safety assistant features like putting you back into the right lane if someone comes out of nowhere? Is it too difficult for smaller ladies under 5ft 4 inches to drive? Please and thank you very much.
Choose the 360 camera option. You have Park Assist and sophisticated Lane Assist as well as Blind Spot warning and about 28 other Safety/Driver Assist systems (I wish mine didn't and turn off Lane Assist systematically but you apparently like all that). It's seen by the majority of reviewers as the new class leader in terms of Technology, Infotainment system and Hybrid system/consumption. BUT I hink you'll have a problem with seat height/vision and whilst 360 camera will help, you may not feel comfortable with the bulkiness of the car. You have to try it and see. Otherwise, being a long-standing enthusiast who would never normally buy a Renault or a new car but for once had to buy with my head, I can recommend the car as built very well with many premium - level touches, exceptionally frugal and smooth/quiet. Check whether boot space is enough for you!
Still a lot of money do. You would wonder what the resale value would be like. I remember when Renaults were good value for money back in the 90s and early 00s. Not like that anymore do. I suppose they could not stay like that forever.
@@changinglanes_ie Yes it sure is and it sure will. I would like to see it do well but not sure many buyers want to spend tgat much on Renault. I know they have come a long way but still some lingering anxieties I would say about reliability. I still think the Kadjar looked better do abd miss the diamond Rebaukt logo on the outside. The new logo is nice on the steering wheel but outside its very dull.

That’s why I am changing makes, it a diesel I require, my vw Tiguan arrives Friday, can’t wait.

Probably Techno version makes most sense. I'm not sure what I need electric seats, or heated steering wheel.
The top spec has to be the one, with the sun roof and the Harmon Kadron sound system. It's worth paying the extra few bob for that.
Great review enjoyed watching 👀 thanks 😊
Thanks for watching 🙂
Great review thanks. They are nice. Looking for a replacement for my Peugeot 5008 GT Premium
Thanks for watching, might be the car for you!

Good plan :)
How about your experience about built quality comfort level and any other issue?
@@tradkoheights9511 I have had no build quality issues at all with my Kadjar
Great review thankyou🍀🍀🍀
Thanks for watching!
sticking with my diesel kadjar a while longer like the 4 x 4 awd that the hybrid at them moment doesnt have..

Beautiful car but you just can’t get parts for it if you have an accident.I had an accident 10weeks ago and there’s still no parts available
Lovely accent, love from France hope you liked the car
Merci beaucoup :)
Gorgeous car especially the dash.. price wouldn't bother me at all
It does feel more stylish than the usual suspects
@@changinglanes_ie style over substance though- noisy cabin and too firm a ride….

What’s the CO2 emissions?
105g so €180 to tax
@@changinglanes_ie thanks for that 👍
Hi, My auto door lock wont open or close on my drive, away from the house it works fine. can you help.

It is a lot of money and big step up from where Kadjar was. The market has changed a lot, time will tell how Austral will do against rivals

A boring reply as well, what exactly do you expect from a family SUV, Ferrari-like handling and performance?

Fair enough, you should have made that a bit clearer though Adam.@@adamgrimsley2900
