Fingerprint armor set is my personal favorite, it flys so under the radar. The beat up rusting aesthetic to it really makes it feel like you’ve been through some shit and makes you feel really badass. Plus it just looks cool.
Fingerprint is the best both visually and mechanically. Lowest weight with 51 poise (breakpoint for most of all enemy attacks, which deal either 50 or 100 poise damage), and still has the less generic fantasy yet more practical realistic style that I think made dark souls 3 armors peak. The fingerprint burns are probably one of the single best visual gimmicks I've seen on a design.
Oh and the base knight set looks horrendous imo. Bland, the color on the cloth/metal is irritatingly flat and bright, the shapes just dont work together or at all.
Heide knights armor set is just so clean. Also gonna add, I do agree that the ringed knight armor is nice, but I wish there was a bulkier version with a helmet.
Artorias is fire. Lautrec's set is also underrated too, it would be the best in the game if it wasnt for the weird mangle looking things sticking out of it.

Hell yeah. I used it with the dessert pyromancer hood on my dex pyromancy archer build. The red cloth on the armor matched the hood perfectly and the armor has a consistent and pleasing design.
The Banished Knight set is also awesome because of how good it is. It has some of the best poise and defense stats among heavy armors, better than even the Crucible Knight armors. It’s beaten by a few, like Tree Sentinel, Veteran’s, and the 4 super heavy sets. But those sets don’t hold a candle to Banished Knight’s drip factor.
Yessss, the Drakeblood set is _so_ clean. The engravings are cool af as well. Feels extra special to me bc I found it after beating nameless (ik it's dropped after killing the drakeblood knight summion, I just only found it after beating nameless), so it felt like a reward for my efforts.

My favorite armour set in elden ring is the crucible knight armour, i love the red and i really like the armour from the crucible duo in leyndell. Its just an overall sick armour set

Some people are saying Vyke's fingerprint armor is cooler or better than the standard kNIGht's set. It's probs cause the normal kNIGht's set lacks curves for deflection you usually see in affective armor designs. Whereas, the fingerprint set actually bares more resemblance to a historical armor set, despite the funky fingerprints and dents. My fav set in DS3 is the fallen knight set, it's literally a knight with a hood over its helmet & a sleeveless cloak/coat. Conceptually that's a very fantasy anime description but it maintains a realistic down to earth aesthetic like a lot of other armor sets.

I like the unaltered banished knight set because not only does it look cool, no one else in the game wears the whole set, it feels like MY armor. Since my character was a vegabond the description even matches the character.

In DS3 my go to was Hodrick's helm (favorite helm in all of Soulsborne) and either Deserter or Xanthus chest. Ringed knight, Artorias (Wolf) and Dragonslayer armor are up there too. In ER I like the banished knight (especially the covered helm, second favorite in the series) as well, but also Scaled and Ronin chest pieces are my favorite.
I would say Knights Cavalry set or Cleanrot set. Knights cavalry because the cape has a certain shape to it that makes you look like Dracula or something, and that its all black. As for Cleanrot set its just so, well, clean.
Mix the Banished Knight set with the Confessor hood or the Veterans legs and Helm for good drip. The black cape goes great with the hood. There are a lot of weapons that go well with the set. Get your End to the 30's I think and you can mid roll. Nice set in Elden Ring.

The Syan set was my favorite in DS2
I definitely think the blood knight set in ds3 is the coolest looking armor, but that's what makes being an individual so awesome.
Ringed Knight set might be my all time favorite armor set in all of FromSoftware.
Faraam set could’ve been so much better than it was in game, in the trailers it looked off the charts.
Helmet is peak tho
The Ringed K***ht set looks even better with Tears of Denial activated because the tear floats perfectly the hollow hole in the chestpiece
Vengals armor is pretty cool in DS2
I prefer the Heidi optional Helm, looks really good
I would say Knights Cavalry set or Cleanrot set. Knights cavalry because the cape has a certain shape to it that makes you look like Dracula or something, and that its all black. As for Cleanrot set its just so, well, clean.
Mix the Banished Knight set with the Confessor hood or the Veterans legs and Helm for good drip. The black cape goes great with the hood. There are a lot of weapons that go well with the set. Get your End to the 30's I think and you can mid roll. Nice set in Elden Ring.
DS2 sir alonne set is also mega gorgeous

Land of Reeds set is pretty sick and true to form. We've had a lot of eastern inspired sets but land of reeds is solidly samurai
The OG fluted set is goated throughout all the souls games imho
Twinned set (D's armor) is undefeated for me in Elden Ring. In DS3 i wore the armor of thorns it looks super fire i like the dark look.

due to the way how it worked as a litmus test for if you were bad at the game its actually the sunset armor
Agreed heide knight set is great for holy knight builds just feels right to me
