Thank you. It is nice to see a few joseki's explained in such a simple manner, and without having 10 or more moves in them. :)

Perhaps one joseki with major variations for 5 minute video more helpful. At least would be for me.

it would be good to have an explanation as to why each position is better/worse for each color rather than just stating that it is. especially for beginners

    Ryan,
If somebody has a double-digit kyu rating they will be playing with a whole lot of black stones already on the board -- no matter who they are playing against.
This means that anything advertised as being "Common Joseki for 30-20 Kyu Players" ought to take advantage of the handicap stones already on the board to help them, don't you think?

Poorly explained. What about the rationale for each move?

I'd say he's not used to do go videos so it turns out to be a highschool presentation. I'm sure he'll get more relaxed if he do more videos. I'm looking forward to seeing him improve at his presenting skills since he's a very strong player.
The lack of rationale I'd say because it is very complicated for the target level. I'd argue that getting used to seeing these patterns is enough. As it provides vaugue direction on how things "supposed" to kinda look like. Actually understanding the joseki is far from a concern at this level.
