This was super! I enjoy these much better than L&D series because this is more hard to find anywhere on the internet. It's a golden mine. Thank you Stephanie!
Very helpful basics. Thanks a lot Miss. I have just one question regarding minute 1:53: In my opinion it makes more sense, to play (as black) on H17, instead of D14. Its just my view, i am just 15k, so it doesnt have to be reasonable^^..Thanks anyway gb
The problem with this is, that blacks corner is probably not as strong as you think. If you attack from H17 side you guide white to the corner. White may attack now around d15 and/or utilize c17 weakness. your corner is weak as it stands and you dont need to diminish eye space on the side, because there isn't much space to beginn with. Usually you will not actually kill alot of stones in go. Most of the time you want to guide them to life favourably for you. Meaning white may live, but not without giving you a great corner and probably strength/influence on the side.
Even after white plays H17, their base is already quite cramped on the side--they can probably hope for just one eye on the side, which is not enough to live and they'll have to run out to find life in the center. So it's not like white has solved all their problems by playing there, or black has lost all hope of containing/killing the group (or getting profit in the chase). It could go either way depending on context and how the game goes--the sequence feels like an even/joseki sort of exchange. Without black's strengthening move at D14, though, the corner stones look a bit lonely...if black plays at H17 instead, white may get a nice attack going around D14. Maybe black will get the corner, but in the process white will get outside influence and influence on the upper side, which benefits them (and their original stones live anyway, so it makes your move to deny their base look kind of silly since it just amounts to securing a few points on the right side). The direct 3-3 invasion at C17 is also an option, though I think black wouldn't mind that as much. Just my impressions, I'm also not super strong so if a stronger player disagrees or sees something else I'd appreciate the correction.
Thanks. I do love your work. But honestly, I don t get why the kick move is a bad move in this situation. The kick move prevents a San San. So it is not clear why it is a mistake. I feel i missed something. Very good job though
i wouldnt consider ai's input in a basics go mistake video. If you can utilize the position after the kick, so be it. But most of us would get an undesirable position after the kick. Therefore considered a mistake. If LeelaZero and therefore 9Ps doing it, then ok. But we all probably wouldnt even understand WHY they are doing it. So replicating it shouldnt be done carelessly for
first i thought shes not pretty, but after several watching her video she is getting prettier and prettier, i like your teaching very informative. ! very much thanks
First time I discovered videos of go strategies as well explained as yours. Please continue to make more.
Thank you! Impressive explanation of what are, to me, high-level Go tactics. Go is an enchanting game and you demonstrate it very well.

The liberty fight is not 1-4 dan. I think it might even be easier than 19-10 kyu
love the channel!

Very good job though
Very nice video, I hope I had seen this yesterday, they just made the first error and I responded incorrectly hahaha
what a great video i make all these mistakes
It is funny though - for the very first mistake, I found that ai seems to like the kick more than just backing off - something to consider..

I recommend adding timestamps to where each mistake will be explained so the dan players do not have to watch the entire video.
coming for igo, staying for the pretty face
If i explored nothing new, that's mean im 5 - 9 dan ? )
