This opening theme is why I ALWAYS opt for a _double vent_ when purchasing a jacket. It's like a cape for modern _men of action_ . Notice how the back of Dan August's jacket _alights_ as he throws the bad guy through the wall. Won't work with a single vent, I've tried it.

Watching this brought to mind stories, later told by long-time girlfriend Sally Field, of "Buddy" not being able to get his dad to compliment him or give his approval to Buddy's face. "10 million people watch me every week," Buddy would tell him with a tinge of desperation in his voice. "So big deal. That's not a job for a real man". It was only later that Buddy heard through the grapevine that that same dad, at the same time, was bragging to his friends and fellow southerners. "That's my boy up there on the TV. You know 10 million people watch him every week!" Well, at least Buddy found out indirectly.

This has a similar show introduction to "Streets of San Francisco", such as the diagonal layout of much of the words, etc. making it dynamic. And same narrator introducing show. However, I've never heard of "Dan August" until I saw this on TH-cam. I'm guessing that means the show wasn't very successful.
