Whats even more disturbing is it appears to be limping and flopping, its neck unable to hold itself up and its jaw draped open. which in my eyes is implying that this thing, this huge entity, has been injured. What makes that so much more horrifying is the fact something would have had to deal a wound to it, this thing would have to be sizable enough to injure it critically. So what could that abomination be? Perhaps the poolrooms ambush predator we saw at the end of found footage #2

It would be interesting if all the creatures that appear in here are also trapped, entering it from their own worlds so if you happened to find the gateway/door through which they entered, you'd end up on their planet/world/dimension.

i like to think that the back rooms are like an “out of bounds section” of the universe. kinda like how in old games there are low quality buildings and other things that you don’t have access to unless you hack the game. when you noclip, it’s hacking into the out of bound section. that’s why the back rooms is so glitchy and empty. it’s because your not supposed to be there.

Makes me wonder if possibly falling out of the backrooms to go back using the trick showed ever causes the individual to fall from the sky, or if that's only for objects that leave the backrooms, as we've never seen that happen...also strange to see someone make it a game to see how long they can stay in the backrooms before wanting to leave and then doing a bunch of elaborate tricks like slamming their foot into the door to keep it from closing, to actually find out that each time you do it there is a chance to send you back. Whoever that is must certainly be a gamer at heart what with their intuition to break everything.

This concept is incredible. It frames the backrooms as a sort of dangerous arena, but with rules that (if followed) can get you in and out. It's akin to participating in a super dangerous sport; given preparation, you can mitigate (but never remove) risk. Backrooms solo exploration is probably like climbing K2 alone with no oxygen. It is *INSANELY* dangerous. Not because every level is dangerous, but because if you are even a fraction careless, the rooms will take you places you CAN become fodder. Not to mention, clipping doesn't always guarantee you'd land in the same base level. The randomness of the backrooms is something you can't plan for, and that's what can get you killed if you don't have an exit strategy the instant you suspect something is paying attention to you.
Exploration can be done, but you need to be incredibly experienced, and adequately crazy. and even with all that prep, you accept a certain level of risk you can't control. You know going in, you may never come out.
I think that adrenaline factor is a part of why people want to make expeditions. My guess is, people who do solo explorations are misfits, people who find some kind of purpose and fascination in those enigmatic halls because it's those exact places which make them feel at peace despite the danger. They don't have a place in the real world, so perhaps they feel more connected to the strangeness of it all.

I love the thought that a person or persons in this fictional world are fully aware of the backrooms and their mechanics. Even going as far as finding certain areas of our world where it is easier to "no-clip" and finding methods in the backrooms to go back to standard reality. It's realistic in a way that not only government officials know about the backrooms but also a very small amount of normal civilian people and knowledge of the backrooms to said normal people is like knowledge of an underground fight club where it is "forbidden" to speak of it or it might be taken down. Overall I love this series you are making and I hope to see.

Well its very much like a video game. A very small percentage of players of a game become obsessed with it. Pushing every limit of the game to say they know it all. My buddies we're hard into gears of war and there we're a few tricks that allowed you to go behind the walls in the game and have insanely large field to play / hide in. So its neat to see that transfer here that those who know of the backrooms also know how to enter and leave it - probably sharing the knowledge among very few > Ie the footage clips we see from different creators. In a way its these creators that are revealing the backrooms to us, they don't exist in reality but in away by these people making content of it, its like my buddies in gears of war or any other game with those types of exploits.

The entire video has the implication that in 'this universe' (I say that cause Kane Pixel's is separate and not apart of this 'infinite levels backrooms' lore) there is a niche community that has discovered and talks about the backrooms. They have various places to clip in, and know a method to get out. They're aware of entities and probably know which ones are lethal and which are less so. I like the way this creator is exploring various different spooky liminal spaces instead of just the static 'level 1 endless office space' type stuff. I do wish we'd get more transitions instead of just cuts to 'new' areas. I wanna see more of that outside metal tower.

Yeah this video here Is the best one I've seen so far. Kane's work has a lot more vision behind it but here Frag is definitely stepping away from that without falling back on the mess of a canon the wikis have. The Backrooms for me have always been about just the sheer, nonsensical scale of the concept where it's just level after level after level of liminal spaces with no rhyme or reason and this video perfectly captures that idea, that there's no entity or habitability classifications or anything its just an infinite labyrinth of unending dead grey skies and worn-down hallways and pathways, all built by some gargantuan civilization that in reality could never have existed.

There's something so sinister yet so fascinating about places that are built out of necessity, not for looks. Think of industrial plants, road tunnels, warehouses, the hallways of big offices or hotels. These are extensively large structures with immense surfaces, and they aren't meant to be pretty, but functional. Still, they have to look somehow, so to make things easier they are often decorated in this very repetitive, pattern-like, basic fashion, which makes them eerily familiar in a way that confuses the mind. Yet we cannot help being drawn by such places, think of how many music videos and photoshoots are made in places like these, or how awesome it feels to drive through a tunnel with your favorite music on.

Love your detail. Great ‘corporate carpet’ patterns and colours, woodwork, and lighting. It really does feel like we’re exploring a variety of industry offices - like the much wealthier ‘corporate law’ feel of the place with the burgundy walls and dark woodwork contrasting with the more typical office setting with the awesome blue carpet. Love the glimpses we get of entities - not really long enough to get a real fix on what they look like before we’re away - really makes me curious about them.

theory for why the door trick works:
    some context first
i was reading the backrooms wiki once and apparently a way to clip into the backrooms was by moving towards a wall or corner of a wall before it "rendered" and became solid.
so maybe the reason this door trick works, is that your foot being in the door makes the backrooms think you're in that room, and not the room you're actually in. So when you close the door and it hits your foot, the backrooms thinks it hit the doorjamb and was closed, so it unrenders the room you're actually in.
from there, it might rerender, realizing that youre still in the room, and detecting you in the floor, brings you somewhere else, or maybe touching unrendered objects already does that without needing to have them render on you.

    • @cellularautomaton.
      @cellularautomaton. 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

i was thinking of it a a collisions conflict, where maybe it would want to nudge your foot back into the room you're in, but it can't decide which room that is.
