I had one of these back in the seventies, mine was green and in the West Midlands, near Coventry. I've often wondered what happened to it! My plan was to swap out the engine for either the Suzuki 380 or 550 two stroke. Because like the Excelsior, it was a dynastart, which meant I had to stop the engine flick a switch to reverse polarity and restart for reverse gear lol. I also owned several Reliants (vans & cars) and a Ranger Cub Mini kit car, THAT WAS FUN.

These were a great design. Fibreglass monocoque and front wheel drive. Genius!
i think he got the fuel oil mix wrong.lol.
