- A SAILFISH was caught a few years ago. Yes a Sailfish in the Cape Cod Canal. Monster Striper are not the only big things lurking in the Big Ditch. A video was taken and you can see that its Murders Row. For those who know the area can confirm the location and its kinda been a local legend since. This location can be one that makes the long drive worth it. Producing Large Srtiped bass and maybe even a Sailfish. Give it a try its a little bit of a walk from the parking lots but well worth it. Apparently, in the EARLY years of the canal, between murders row, and the dolphins, was a spot, that the stripers blitzed, regularly,,and fisherman regularly scored heavily there,,,,hence the name,"murders row", was born!,,,,,,😎

Best fishing I feel is at false dawn or first light. So Kinda a trick question. Both is the answer for me at least. I try to fish a few hour before first light and a few hours after. The tide will determine where most of the time.
It's a nice place to fish.

I hope to have some footage out soon. These moon phases in August has been known to lite the Canal on fire. Im hoping the same for this year.

why is that area called Murders Row? How do the pillars make it murders row?
Im honestly not positive but I always thought of it like the pillars were murders evenly lined up for a hanging or firing squad. I will ask around to see if I can get more of the story.
