It was Sky Low Low who could stand on his head. He wrestled here in Hilo, Hawaii in the 60's. My father was ring announcer so I got to meet a lot of great wrestlers.
Cool..I remember Sky Low Low
In Alabama we have a group of midget wrestlers both men and women called Extreme Dwarfanators that actually put on great shows and regularly draw good crowds, often sellouts
The actor Dutch references at 2:37 was the late Joe Higgins. He played a stereotypical Southern sheriff in commercials for Dodge and Plymouth cars from about 1968-1972, and his catchphrase was "You're in a heap o' trouble boy!"
and his character name was J.W. Higgins
That's actually a great question for Ricky Morton. When does he remember 'Polaroids at intermission' becoming a thing?
James got me with dropping JW Pepper from the Bond movies into conversation.
We had a midget show here in Billings, MT not to long ago; It was an independent wrestling company called Micro-Wrestling All-Stars.
I discovered them a bit ago. Pretty cool wrestling fed. That boyfriend/girlfriend team had a great routine.
A battle of epic proportion, Loyd Littebrook VS Haiti Kid😂
"They didn't go by the laws. They did what they wanted to do."
They still do. It's just harder for them to get away with it now.
Back in the 1990s, Phil Watson in Canada tried to give the midgets the spotlight, putting on an all-midget tour. Interesting battle with the Tunney-influenced Ontario Athletic Commissioner led to it being billed the MIDGET MANIA COMEDY WRESTLING REVUE. I've got a bunch of the material on my channel. The little guys were just as serious about their work as the big guys.
In my town. Boaz Alabama we have a wrestling show every Saturday night... I could be wrong but I think I have heard it is the oldest running independent promotion in the country. Acw It is ran by mickey Henry who was enhancement talent for bill watts, they say he wrestled Ric flair. And trained the big boss man We sometimes get buff bagwell, and a few others. Rumor Tommy dreamer was going to do a show but never did. They frequently have midget wrestling.
Dutch is correct about the laws in the South years ago. I was illegally searched and convicted, sent to prison. Not jail but prison. Adult prison. Things have changed fortunately.
Dirty dutch's face on the thumbnail made me lol 😂
Haiti kid is still Alive and kicking Brklyn NYC, he 69 yrs old.❤😂
It's like Jackie Gleason when he was the cop on some movie😮
The WWF had midgets at Wrestlemania III, I believe.
Lord Littlebrook. I remember him from Wrestlemania III (Had a best of Wrestlemania VHS). I didnt know until today he was from London, England (as I am also). I really should've put 2 and 2 together. I just assumed he was American because he didn't speak
Little Beaver was almost killed by Bundy when he splashed him a Wrestlemania
He didn't splash him!
Forgot about that. Bundy to his last days was like: that's wrestling, o well
Tiger Jackson.
Dutch looked so pleased with himself when he used the word "umbrage." That and James' southern accent made the clip.
😂..... dat guy, dat Dynamite Kid. He doo too much. He no control. Love Tiger Jackson
Damn James. That was a pretty decent southern accent
There is no law restricting law enforcement from searching minors in the United States. If they think contraband is present they’d search a diaper.
Wrong... the 4th amendment applies to minors as well. The limitation you're thinking of is in schools...
NWA had a small guy recently, with Knox and Murdock. Eric Small’s I believe was his name.
Dude, the WrestleMania III match where it was Bundy & 2 midgets vs Hillbilly Jim & 2 midgets and Bundy drops the elbow, then all the little guys gang up on him is great stuff.
Check out Micro Championship Wrestling out of Michigan. They are regionally and do shows in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin. They do about 100 shows per year.
There is a movie about wrestling called The One And Only with Henry Winkler. He meets a midget at an acting casting call, neither of them got the role. the midget was a wrestler too and got Henry into it. They stole the Gorgeous George gimmick for the movie. Oh, and the wrestling in the movie was the drizzling shits.
@@ithinkaboutthings9052 yes! I couldnt remember Hervé Villechaize name though. And I am glad that I am not the only one that still watches it.
I grew up down south and yeah, once you get out of the city there are tons of little towns that are 100% speed traps. I've never been shaken down like this, but they'll hand out a lot of tickets.
I loved watching the midgets wrestle when I was a kid. Pretty sure they were on Big Time Wrestling shows out of Detroit.
Midget wrestlers still come to Port Charlotte FL like once a year
I lived in Port Charlotte and worked a night club that brought midgets in. Early mid 90s. Great Memories
J. W. Pepper was exactly who came to mind! Good one James.
Sky Low Low used to do the spinning on the head trick
I took care of a midget wrestler named Ricky here in Minnesota he had a huge picture of him and Andre, it was Andre holding him and they were both laughing hard drinking beers. He said Andre treated them great because he was a freak like them. Also said Jesse Ventura was great and always took time to visit he said Hulk Hogan wouldn't give him the time of day
Yep Li'l Diamond was a small-person female wrestler and Moolah's adopted Daughter, shes known for being protective of Moolah's Legacy.😂
There's a troop of midget wrestlers touring now they're working at some bar a couple towns over.
I saw one of them years ago at a local bar, I felt sorry for them because you had drunk women treating them like children trying to touch them when they’re knocked down and getting in their way on the outside of the ring. One of them straight up yelled at her “gtfo the way” when trying to pull off a move.
last time i saw major coverage of midget wrestlers was Survivor Series 94, Doink vs Jerry Lawler and they each had 3 mini-me's
Dutch is right about the cops down there
Dutch should remember little farmer john and little road warrior aka midget D. Dale mann had dwarfs and ladies on his card. Dutch worked for dale many times. I love Dutch
When I saw him he was billed as little bad John and he was a jerk!
James was on the verge of talking about the Cambodian Midget Fighting League. Everyone knows that the boys from the CMFL will fight man or beast.
My brother, a friend of ours, and I went to Jonesboro to see the matches. We watched Mike Stark turn heel on his partner. Mike Stark was to wrestle Monday night with a midget. We were going home and my brother said "I foresee a slaying of a midget". Me and my friend started laughing, and we almost had a wreck.
How bout Little Crusher! Love him and The Crusher!
Skinny Timmy. I've been midget wrestling for 20 years I'm with a group called micro wrestling we are out of Marysville Michigan Dutch let me on your podcast man
Does Dutch go on any tours? He's my favorite guy in the wrestling business and it would be nice to meet him someday..
1:54 Dutch is talking about McBee or Jefferson, SC aka beach traps
Same sh’t happened to me. 😂😂😂
Was that Little Dory Funk in the opening photo?
Tiger Jackson (Dink) used to do the head spin as well.
For me one of the Best is Mascarita Sagrada who wrestled in Wwe by that name and than with Carlitos Brother Eddie and Cousin Primo as "El Torito"
Fuzzy capital I think was his name in the 70s or 80 jerret welch
It was Tiger Jackson aka Dink the Clown that got spun on his head
I agree with Dutch that they should be used in WWE at least one PLE per year.
Tiger Jackson may be the hairless wonder dwarf James is thinking of.
I haven't watched, yet, but I must say, I had no idea Dutch wrestled against midgets. Was this a Jerry Jarrett idea? How did Dutch fare? Did they ever try and shoot on him?
2:55 lol
We still have local midget wrestlers in like north of Milwaukee...
Skinny skinny
Dutch..... Size Matters!
I'd pay good money for a mascot wrestling or MMA league.
Dylan post aka Hornswoggled
Pretty sure they prefer the term "little people" nowadays.
The Micro Wrestling Federation just got picked up by: The Discovery Channel. And they ARE getting paid! they did a " short" video right after that and they all bought a house more or less. So im assuming they made it. Good for them tho! Theyre talent first, comedy second
Is the video about midgets that wrestled or is it about times Dutch wrestled midgets? The former might be more educational on history but the latter would be much more entertaining.
What I want to know is: Did midget wrestlers frequently get ring rats? I hope so. Most of them seem like cool guys.
yes, hornswoggle vs el torito. the lowest point of wwe this millenium besides 2007-12. the whole arena chanted "this is stupid".
Good match though
Anyone remember mini macho man vs. mini doink or dink whatever hos name was lol….
Blame Peter Dinklage.
I do consider myself a leftist but I have to admit that social justice movements do tend to throw the baby out with the bathwater. I mean, Pro Baby Tossing has been banned for years!
I've seen midget wrasslin promotions scattered about in recent years.. Still see em every so often, though, otherwise...
Bring back midget wrestlers and the seven dwarfs
I loved the midget wrestling . I miss them in wrestling today.
@@ithinkaboutthings9052you definitely love Jim cornette and kiss his feet 💀
I prefer midget boxing. Much funnier
I loved watching Hornswoggle! He was in the WWE for almost 10 years! I wish they gave him more little people to wrestle than El Torito.
My uncle was a state trooper in the south. He was a bodybuilder ( not a pro ) and looked like a much smaller version of Ronnie Coleman in his uniform. He says he used to get people to pay him less money than what a ticket would be and of course strongly encourage them to slow down and that he would write a ticket next time. He says it was a win for everybody but Uncle Sam 😂 Cops can’t do that now with body cameras 😂 that’s uncle sams money.
It’s a double edge sword, cops could be hard a$$ back in the day but they also exercised more flexibility and leniency too. I almost got a public drunkenness charge in my youth but because I was honest and polite got let off with a warning. Nowadays they’d probably just hauled me right to jail. Policing should be about keeping order and not ruining peoples lives if you absolutely don’t have to.
Micro Pro Wrestling legitimately can draw a bigger crowd than a AEW house show, smaller venues but at least the can filled them up
Place Hornswoggle in Hof
it's weird how conservatives like dutch clearly know exactly what cops are all about but continue to support them
Yeah. It's like how there are liberals who want to get rid of police completely, but immediately call them over the most miniscule problems or want laws that criminalize even thinking outside of their terms.
Oh, wait... No it isn't, because acknowledging the existence of bad cops isn't equivalent to all cops being bad.
What the hell are you talking about ? I mean only very small minority of people think all police are allgood or all cops are bad. Dutch is like most people, understands there’s a need for police, understands that police are imperfect, knows that the majority of cops are decent people , applauds good policing and condemns bad policing. It’s not that complicated.
I’ll take a $15 payoff vs a $300 speeding ticket & a hit to my insurance record any day personally. I never understood why liberals get more upset with the cops than the politicians who actually write the laws in the first place.
@@Jackholiday1025 if the majority of police were good people the bad cops wouldn't keep getting away with crap. they all cover for eachother. when a cop in philly was reprimanded for busting an old man's head open on the concrete, the whole team resigned because how can they do their job if they can't beat up old people? (because they know their real job is not to serve and protect, but to enforce power structure, which does require violence against innocent people)
Did you go to jail?
Love midget wrestling! Give me a WeeLC match anyway of the week and twice on Sunday!!!
Tyler Bate and Pete Dunn
Some of them are working for aew😂😂😂
2 minutes and 48 seconds in and grandpa over here is just rambling about a time he got pulled over, not even answering the question or talking about wrestling at all. Does this old timer even know where he’s at? Jesus stop exploiting this man and bring him back to the home.
Well if this is your attitude now I can’t imagine how crabby you’ll be at Dutch’s age
MicroWrestling is a touring group.
