      Its because of taste.
Some like Beethoven more, others prefer Bach and some hardcoremotherlovers went nuts when Wagner appears.
And the poorminded when Kollegah or 49 Cent went to hit the mice...
I dont like his tempus and prefer other styles.
But its good to see how different taste might incarnate

Yes, this was my reason to start the violin at the age of 46.
Just to try and comprehend how this perfect magical bowed instrument can create such wonder with the unspoken melodies that it touches deep down in the depth of your being and evokes feelings that speak about every thing that words cannot express . Sarasate proves that music is divine . To embrace the 🎻 violin and forget the world.... is what is pure bliss

I once heard that Sarasate himself used an bow that was longer than your standard violin bow. Does anyone know if that's true? It would explain some of these haunting, long cries he wrote into this magnificent piece.

Yeah. But personally, I like Perlman's version better. His pizz, way better than Ko's. But Ko's opening was way better than Perlman's. The reason I like this version better is because Perlman's tone. Though Heifetz's is the best. Heifetz's opening maybe a little bit rushed, but the rest just flows, with everything in tune, and very very fast.

While somewhat similar, Czardas is a much easier piece. No doubt, Perlman would have excellent phrasing and interp., but quite a few could rival...

It sounds like world war I when you were hiding down in the trenches with one of your comrades but he was stabbed by a bayonet which sent him to bite the dust. It was autumn and nearly the closing to begin winter. As winter came by your comrade lied cold under a sheet of clothe still looking alive but pale. On the fast bit you were fighting again but you survived. Spring rolled by and you were able to bury your comrade next to his favorite pub. On the fast bit once again, you were fighting against a false accusation in the court about being the one that stabbed your comrade in the back with a bayonet. You were able to fight the case against you. Under further investigation it was another comrade and then it cuts to black. *And scene*
