- The Funicular and Cable Car ride from Zermatt to Sunnegga and Blauherd in Switzerland offers wonderful views of the mountains around Zermatt from Sunnegga. This fantastic experience with many magnificent views of the large and small Matterhorn ends at Blauherd, the starting point of the famous 5 Lakes Hike.
At the Blauherd station, you can then also take the large cabin of the up to the Rothorn and admire the view of the Matterhorn and the magnificent mountains around Zermatt.

where exactly is the Sunnega-Rothorn Funicular station in Zermatt. Is it at Zermatt GGB (Gornergrat) station?
From the Gornergratbahn station you have to follow the railway line on Getwingstrasse and after the bridge over the river turn left and you will reach the Sunnegga-Blauherd-Rothorn station after about 300 metres. Have a great trip!
