We did this trail today coming back Canyonlands National Park to Moab in 1 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, 1 Jeep Gladiator Sport & 1 Dodge Ram Dually PU........ Had the time of our lives, the views of the canyon on the way down was a steep & rugged road with beautiful landscapes that these Florida Boys haven't ever seen except via these videos. Well worth the time we spent taking a bunch of picture and trying our best to outrun the rains that was coming in behind us. Just In case anyone wants to know that our friend drove his Dodge Ram Dually 4x4 Pick up with out any issues. July 6th, 2022
I used this shortcut many times on my motorcycle to get from camp down to Moab for supplies. I always referred to it as 'the express elevator to hell' lol
Im visiting moab in late march and would love to trail like that , but my problem is , i have a 21 jeep grand cherokee 2x4 , can someone tell me of a trail easy to do with a 2x4 please.
The trail in this video could be done with 2x4. There were a few pickup trucks that were 2-wheel drive on the trail when we were there. That said, I wouldn't try it in wet weather and check to make certain this route is still open. This video was done several years ago, and I heard a rumor recently that it was not passable. Thanks for watching Alex! 😊
It is two way. It may look narrow in places but if both drivers carefully pass each other there is no problem (except under the large rock-hard is a bit narrow).
Not certain about ATV's. You would have to check with Utah DOT or equivalent to see what is allowed. As for camping, the closest I believe would be Deadhorse Point State Park (where we stayed) or someplace closer to Moab. No camping through the canyon here that I know of. Thanks for watching and the comment. 😊
I'm running a 4" lift and 33" tires. Judging by the clearance I had I would think a stock rig even with a rooftop tent should make it (as long as the tent is folded down of course 😉).
I did this trail in my factory stock 2002 Yukon. You'll be fine. My wife was terrified, but she lived. The driver in this video turned around before the big drop-off around the end of the tall rocks on the right (going down). That's when my wife started crying and said, "If you don't kill us before we get to the bottom, I'm gonna kill you!" Lol.
Hey... How wide are these trails/off highway dirt roads? Width? They look very narrow in spots... Looks like SxS size? Your jeep 'just' made it? How about a wider OHV/rig maybe 7'6" wide in front wheels? Would my OHV Fit?
Howdy Steve: On this particular road I passed a full size pickup with duels headed up the road. They seemed ok and they should have been able to fit under the rock. That being said, maybe you can decide by knowing what I'm running. All my off road videos are shot from my 97 Jeep TJ Wrangler (93.4" wheelbase). I am running a 2.5" suspension lift with a 1.5" body lift, 33 x 10.50 BFG KO2's with air activated OX lockers and on board air. All the appropriate skid plates and rock bars and of course a winch.
Nice ... good info, I saw your jeep in video at rock... The trail looks good and fun, but if wet take a pass... Dually Truck huh... 4x4? stock? interesting... Thanks... maybe in a few months I will be doing this drive...
There's plenty of room on this trail. I drove down this trail in my stock '02 GMC Yukon. I don't remember Pucker Pass as being any problem. Just take it slow through there. There were a couple of spots where the slick rock angled up a bit after that. I thought I might have to use some rocks to lessen the angle, but, the oil pan cleared with no issues. I remember passing a few trucks on the way down. Just pull over when you can and let them pass. Or, vice versa. About a half mile down the trail from where Kevin turns around, the trail opens up into a huge view of the expanse of Long Canyon. Don't look down. It's a drop. A topo map I found says it's about 630 ft.
Bless you for leaving out bad music. love the sound of gravel under wheels.
It's calming, isnt it ? =)
I wish other youtubers would leave out the music. The scenery is music on it's own.😎
I agree.............. I also like to listen to tires "barking" on slick rock obstacles on other trails around Moab.
I remember doing this in a 1990 4x4 Nissan hardbody truck with a topper. It was so fun and I giggled the whole way.
May never have enjoyed such a visit to this region but for your excellent ride. Thanks greatly.

What a great video. Gives a nice view to imagine what it's going to look like some time soon. cheers

Thanks for watching! 😊
Fun road... just did it today in a loaded down stock Subaru Crosstrek...
Thanks for splicing in the clearance shot at Pucker Pass. Very helpful!!
Your welcome. Thanks for watching. 😊
Will I clear it with my RTT. I am 8ft with lifting and tent...
Very cool. We did Lockhart basin in August. Planning on going back in may this pass is on the list.
When I lived in Moab, that road was blocked on top by a huge rock slide. The road was reopened by blasting through the slide.
That must have taken some work! Thanks for watching. 😊
1000 bonus points for no shitty music!
Very nice, thank you for these great views.
We were in Moab a week or so ago. Long Canyon Road was closed...
Thats a bummer. 😕 Thanks for watching. 😊
amazing , thanks , it seems to me that this particular trail could be done in stock Wrangler without a lift
Yes it can. 😊
I did it in my regular Chevy blazer
Magnifique , de nombreux endroits â decouvrir du côté de Moab
Thanks, I can't wait to drive this!
That one big ass rock looks like a huge brontasaurus

Sounded like you were in low range. Is that how you ran this trail?
Yeah. I find it easier to control the speed with shifting gears constantly. 😊
Is this considered a one-way trail (east-bound only)? Many spots seem too narrow to allow another vehicle to pass.
It is two way. It may look narrow in places but if both drivers carefully pass each other there is no problem (except under the large rock-hard is a bit narrow).
Love your video. Amazing scenery. Can you ride atv's on this trail? Also so they allow camping along the way?

There are a couple of great camping spots near the Canyonlands side of this trail.
Rooftop tent and Grand Cherokee, stock trail rated hemi but beginner? Can I make it under?

@@GreatNorthernTech FORD Expedition 2WD?
@@democratssuxmaga7965 Should be good.
@@GreatNorthernTech thanks
So an infinti g37 won’t work here??? I’m so sad I wanna go here so bad
Awesome
Is there anywhere to park a unload a side by side.
Not sure how large your tow vehicle is but there should be some some areas to do that. Keep in mind vehicles need to be read legal to drive this road.
Easy enough to do with 4x4 and no lockers?
Or rather, easy enough to get to and do?
Oh yeah, no problem.
was your jeep stock or lifted? i am planning a trip there in Sep with my stock jeep will that do?

Doing this Sunday with my 16 Yukon...I was looking for easy back country trails...can't wait!
