That circuit box is a 50/30/20 amp box. Covers all the RV and tent campers.

Canyonlands is a short drive, probably about three and a half hours from here in Montrose. I did it a long time ago. I went cross country sking once and went to an overlook on the Grand Mesa and could see the La Sal mountains. We are actually around 60-65 miles from the state line from Utah. Beautiful campground. Would love to see a sunrise/sunset from there. Thanks.

Something about those La Sal Mountains... Three and a half hours sounds like a great deal! Very doable!

That looked like a very nice campsite ⛺️ ❤ I hate campsites with not a bush or tree in sight.

Absolutely hear you on that one. It's nice to have just a little privacy. 😄

Yes, Jack your King of the World! That definitely is the BEST lookout to view the canyon...amazing! It gets high praise regardless of accommodations just for the views. Thanks for the trip!

Looks like a great campground ⛺️ 👍 Amazing views 😎

Wow, those views were amazing. Honestly, as much as I like the Grand Canyon those views rival it.

Agree with you! The views in that park and Canyonlands are unreal. Just like the Grand Canyon, it's hard to believe they're real.

Boy howdy! The view from the overlook is breathtaking!!! I really liked your campsite. I don’t worry too much about a high level of privacy unless I am going to be somewhere for awhile. Compared to some places I’ve been, you have privacy. At Mission Bay in San Diego, the campers are parked side by side like a supermarket lot.
    Cheers!

We've certainly seen worse for sure. Space isn't always a problem and people are generally polite. There's always those rare occasions though when after a full day of filming you come back exhausted and the noise/proximity is an issue. Thankfully it's not often. 😅

We stayed there last May in site #5. We liked this park so much we're going back.

Fantastic park, isn't it? And just a State Park with those views! Hope your trip back is great as well! 😄

Oh wow! Dead Horse Point is all modern with outlets! I slept in my car off the road last time I was there. I agree with you about being too close to each other. 😱 But that aside the view is always breath taking!!!

This has brought tears to the eyes. It IS a heaven on earth. That road down below is Shafer's trail and that was the most white knuckle drive I ever did in my 70' Plymouth Duster!!

    • @CactusAtlas
      @CactusAtlas  ปีที่แล้ว

Yup! We did Shafer Trail in our Canyonlands episode and it isn't for the faint of heart for sure! Really hard to see over the front hood of the car sometimes. It's a shame about the closeness of the sites in some instances but the location of the campground can't be beat. 👍

😂 We shall see ... A yurt is definitely a compromise I could be willing to make. 😅

If I remember correctly, there was enough for Glenn to call me but not enough to hear each other well or keep connection long.

Ehhhhhh those sites are a little to close for me, especially for $40 a night @TheCactusAtlas. Would just be cheaper to buy an out of state Annual Utah pass for $150. I wouldn't be able to sleep that close to the road. Do gotta say the longer I watch the better those sites look. Just just I just wouldn't be able to sleep at all being that close to the road. I'd sleep in the car.
Ok the unisex Separate bathrooms is a Plus, wash area a plus No Showers for $40-$50 a night ehhhhh well ok for that second area OK I'd stay a few nights as long as I had the Annual Pass. Think on the Half Cactus rating how about a cactus with one arm 1/2 or no arms 1/4?
OK OK OK I take it back. I Would stay there for $40-$50 better yet the Annual Pass. Just to be able to stay at Dead Horse Overlook for as long as possible to get back to campground 10 minutes before closing. Just just WOW what AMAZING VIEWS!!!!!
DAMN You Glenn. You keep up showing these AMAZING places I'm going to Need More Buckets for my bucket list.
    ps
Do me a favor Amy & grab a Pillow & hit Glenn with it for what he said at 15:11 for me Please. All of us are Honored with Glenns' photography skills.
    pss
Hey Amy, Glenn have you looked into getting Filming permits? I keep hearing & reading about the parks are starting to be sticklers on Filming permits now. Butt most of the one's complaining about the filming permits are the vanlifers & boondockers.
