A whistle? I got lost in the trinity alps in fog and heavy rain, blew my whistle repeatedly. Finally found the trail down and I asked did you guys hear me whistling? They said no. Whistles don’t work.
Everytime I hear about a kid going missing in a forest I think about the safety whistle my mom gave me when I first went to Girl Scout camp. It was Buddy Camp so I was never really out of her sight, but if I ever did wander off I knew all I had to do was blow that insanely loud whistle and someone would come find me. I can't help but wonder how many missing kids could have been found in time if they'd had a safety whistle.
@@Special_Tactics_Force_Unit In fairness, I bet a lot of these kids DID scream, but their voices were silenced from being trapped inside a Sasquatchian-field portable pocket dimension - the "Oz Effect". I doubt a whistle would be any more audible.
ALOT To be said for our simpler ways back in the day. That is a wonderful idea why today don’t people think of simple simplicity cures. Well in most cases probably save them
@@DarhaLB a lot of people that have gone missing have had whistles as well as guns. If its pouring rain or youre stuck in a snowstorm, then the whistle will not help you. Hunters that are in trouble know to fire 3 warning shots which alerts anybody that somebody needs help. And these hunters that go missing, dont even do that. Sometimes park rangers find their guns leaning against trees or miles away from their bodies (if found), or they never find any trace of them. A personal locator beacon is a great device in those scenarios. However, i feel like the reason people dont fire their guns or whistle or scream is that they dont realize they are in danger until its too late, or in some instances maybe they have and still nobody heard them. Humans are naturally curious, and experienced hunters would nottttt go off trail unless something interested them. I cant speak for people who aren’t experienced as they could wonder off trail and not realize it, but the for the avid hunters-that just doesnt make sense. They have every single kind of survival gear with them, and it doesnt seem to matter. There is a docu movie called The Hunted by David Paulides and his team, and they go into further detail about these hunters that have gone missing in very bizarre events. It’s a great documentary that makes you realize that something is happening to these people besides being lost and dying in the elements. Something else is at play.
I went off trail once due to bees. That experience traumatized me. I think everyone should have a personal locator beacon. Everyone says “ It won’t happen to me”. Also, most people keep walking when lost. Note to everyone- unless there are bees, bears, etc Stay Put! Thanks!
This is BY FAR your best work. I see you have 650 comments but I hope you read this one. I listen to this one every night and it brings me to sleep. Every time I listen to it I catch a new story. I wish you would go back to this type of video- with so many shorter cases in one clip instead of the long drawn out cases you’ve been doing lately. Thanks for the work you do.
It’s like these people step into a dimensional time and distance warp, come out somewhere else, don’t know where they are, get lost, cannot find their way back. Some people want to go missing. It’s very interesting that when a person goes missing and they find his parked car, they find his cell phone, his GPS, and his emergency locator in the car.
Yeah, is incredibly difficult to go missing, especially nowadays when almost everyone has a mobile phone (I don't haha). I'll be intrigued to see how many can go missing this year and in future under the "New Normal". 😎
And then we’re left to wonder, did someone or something somehow someway return that phone to their vehicle??? I don’t think anything can be out ruled anymore
Don't you think it's more likely they blacked out rather than walked into a time warp? People can black out and continue to function similar to sleep walking.
@@MissingVoidTV thanks you too friend! I've been seeing weird lights in the sky the last couple times I've been there if catch anything weird on film I'll send it to you 😃
Fuck that I ain’t never going to Yosemite that’s ground zero for disappearing I already had bad experiences at Yellowstone and Olympic as well as the Oregon forests as a kid I don’t need anymore thanks!!
My thoughts about the old men in Germany: I live in Austria. And over here it is common for ppl with dementia or Alzheimer's are trying to hide it. Often they end up venturing off and go lost. It is very sad. But this cases are similar to them I hear sometimes in the news here.
They hide it in the United States as well due to our predator conservatorship laws. If grandma ends up in a conservatorship due to dementia (the most common reason), mark my words that conservator will take everything she ever worked for, chew her up, and spit her out.
@@Janellabelle Exactly! Conservatorships should never be a family member or a friend. They should be appointed by someone who does it for a living. I've seen the greed you describe, and it's horrible.
@@Janellabelle there are multiple types of conservatorships. One is the one you get over someone when they have dementia and one is a financial one. So you don’t necessarily have to have your finances taken over to have a conservator. You can even just have a power of attorney who doesn’t have control of finances or one who does. It saved my moms life. When her POA Died of cancer she immediately got very sick, spent all her money, and ended up in prison. So they can be very beneficial. Some people who are mentally ill or facing addictions need temporary ones. They aren’t inherently evil. It doesn’t have to be your family in charge of them Either. .
There is something strange about people with German heritage going missing in the US wilderness. Something also strange about many US serial killers having military training in Germany. I don't know what is going on. I just notice the connections.
@@Alexandra_Wolf Yeah I got the feeling that the comment was conflating that position with someone whom is always dishonest & out to get over on the person from which they are overseeing for example Britney Spears father. I assume that is because the malicious ones are the only ones ever reported & that the overwhelming majority are probably working as they should & are therefore not worth the scrutiny or interest of the public. I'm sorry about your mother though, I hope she was able to bounce back & is doing well these days. I also commend you for wearing your seatbelt in your profile image, safety first! Plus that image of you is more than likely used to convince hardheaded kids too wear their seatbelt. I know if I was a stubborn kid (which I was) & was refusing to wear my seatbelt (which I did) I would have immediately began buckling up if someone has shown me that image of you wearing it. My little kid brain would have seen such a gorgeous woman wearing the seatbelt & would have assumed if I wore my seatbelt that perhaps we would eventually get married & have five children. So who knows your choice to have that as your pic has probably saved countless lives.
The Alaskan Bermuda Triangle. I was lost in the Alaskan Bermuda triangle, I was rescued by the coast guard but before I was rescued I could hear voices calling me.
I live near glacier park and I think they were saying that it looked like his boots but the stride was different so yes someone must have taken his boots. Also I’ve heard a story from a female friend who went on a solo hike in the area and camped out and when she got back she was looking through her pictures and she had a picture of herself sleeping in her tent ... pretty creepy
The numbers of people that go missing per year expressed as a percentage happens to be the same percentage as the amount of animals that get picked off from a herd in a year by predators. It implies we are being farmed.

Just wanted you to know that I enjoy your channel so much! Tragic stories for all the families of those who are missing but you cover these each with respect and much details.
I’m in as far in northeast Mississippi USA you can go. I absolutely love your voice. Something big is going on in the woods , parks , and national parks. I know some people have went into the woods to live . There are articles on that from hundreds of years ago. I know big foot is real but you can’t say that out loud to people who have never experienced one. I have seen ufo of bronze color sitting still in the sky right above my car for 5 minutes straight. When it disappeared it didn’t fly away. It was a huge flash of light that blinded me that only lasted a second. This was 7 am of a morning. I was crossing the Tennessee river near Waterloo Alabama. There were 5 other cars who stopped like I did looking at it. 3 of the cars were my coworkers following each other to a job site . I don’t know who the other car was . It’s like it went into a worm hole or bent space and time. I believe Nicola Tesla was onto something really good is why he died .
I agree, I shudder to think whats going on in america national parks and forestries, I know bigfoot are taking people, but theres weirder and darker things out there to worry about rather than just bigfoot
I totally agree. I would love to know your experience with big foot or why you’re a believer? It’s statically impossible not to have intelligent life in all of the universes, planets, and unexplored universes. The missing 411 series is amazing. I just started believing in big foot. In fact I learned the government nicknamed him big foot in a PR attempt to make it sound so silly that anyone reporting to see one would sound ridiculous. If they gave him a more serious name or only called it a Sasquatch people may have taken it more serious. So many Reddit stories about Boulders like the size of Fiats, being thrown at hikers. Logs giant logs being smacked against trees then thrown down hill also. I believe the government has a deal. National parks are fair game for hunting for some types of aliens .(there are good neutral and bad ones) or Sasquatch. Everyone is lost is near a mountain, body of water, Boulder fields, and an item is found a year later looking like it was never left out in the rain or sun. All easy places to hide a UFO, by blending in with mountains or water using a shield, or Sasquatch in the cave systems. Especially since the map of missing people and cave systems snd national parks and forests line up EXT. I feel like whatever takes them goes back to places that’s been searched and leaves an item. Another story an older man in new York who couldn’t walk more than two miles, had a hearing aid, a BOW-STAFF, a huge gun and was with two sons and 6 people was standing by his truck while they hunted. His disappeared. They didn’t even find a candy wrapper. How Can you pick up and carry a 200 pound man with backpack, bow staff gun and never find a trace of him. FBI came. They never do for adults. Another one GREEN berets came. I’ve met them- they do NOT come for searches for missing people. They had to have found a creature or something serious to have green beret come.
This is unrelated to the current topic of discussion, but I was just curious on your method of crushing cupcakes. Like are you a sitter, squeezer, puncher, thrower, kicker xcetera? Or do you perhaps mix it up & perform a few different styles all at once? I'm just trying to gain some insight to consider for my very own cupcake crushing technique. It's been a long & intense journey, but I've almost completely developed my methodology, just adding a few more critiques before I reveal it to the world & it's at that point when no cupcakes will ever be safe from my wrath. After I've crushed enough I'm really thinking of even moving up to including just cakes altogether even the super boss of them all... The formidable wedding cake.
Thank you so much for this! It's my birthday and having a one hour vid of your voice and mental intriuguity is the best gift I could have never wished for. Always supporting your work, and amazed by the content you bring to us. A big hug form Venice
That just something the searches make up so they don't continue the search or because they can't find anything plausible to fit what they don't find..so they will make up stuff...
In the case of Stephanie taking off her boots and backpack, its been reported similarly with many other missing person cases as well. Knowone finds them, but days or weeks later the boots and pack are found near an already searched area. Weird.
@@MissingVoidTV Thanks mate. They're scary enough without thinking of 411 or similar disappearances. Quick question. Do you uremmeber Adam Seaton from southport?I was just wondering if you know which video he was featured on.
Your videos are so good! And all the information you compile. Even when I figure I,ll pass on disappearances for tonight I end up glued to the video. Thanks for all the hard work you do!
I very much miss it when there is no photo of the person who disappeared. It's so much more personal and meaningful when you have a visual image of them.

I always remove my boots when I take a break when hiking. So she might have just taken a break and gone to the water to get some water for a cup of tea. The rest is unknown.
How many German surnames. Ring a 411 bell? EDIT: I made this comment at the begging of the video and here we are the whole case study from Germany as well;)
Ok so the Jackson case I have no words..strange.. but 3 missing within a months time? Give me a break.. for real?? Wow.. Ty Adam for all your hard work and honesty! Not sensationalizing..
Hi Adam. Love your channel & output. I’d love you to look into the case of firefighter Anthony Knott who vanished outside a pub when out with his mates before last Christmas. As soon as the news broke, this case and the timeline of events made me think of 411.
Why would someone give thumb down to a person trying to help and spread the word out to those who may have not known about it. Like why I don't understand it's ruthless .
@@weatherman68 right? I mean I don't expect anything to be perfect ... But the immense decline in proper grammar / punctuation in modern-day is horrifying.. I at least want to be able to understand what you mean or the context of your statement. I saw some one the other day who said "your to stupid their not talking about that "
Couldn't Stephanie have set down her stuff and took off her boots because her feet hurt from walking and she wanted to put her feet into the water for relief? Did they not say where her stuff was found? If so it could've been found next to the water. Also she could've been very thirsty and dehydrated. You'll do almost anything if you are beyond thirsty. The waterfall and moving water would seem ideal if she needed relief right then. Could she have slipped and drown? Did they say a cause of death?
@@michaelkoszowski3716 No problem, I too had to look back. I can never remember the years of these cases. Its rare that that level of detail stays with me.
I’m addicted to your channel and as an audio book narrator myself I know the work that goes into these stories. And the research you do. Superb. Interesting to hear a New Zealand case mentioned. Sadly it received little coverage here.. People go missing so often at Mt Aspiring area and when climbing Mt Cook or in other Sth Island locations that it’s more a case of “just another missing tourist “. You could do a whole series on missing people in NZ. There are some well documented cases. And sadly some have been foul play. We don’t have Big Foot or Skin Walkers but Maori legends abound of mysterious little people and the fearsome Taniwha. There are some forest areas which I’d never venture alone into. Even driving through them provokes fear. Having just moved to the country I listen to the night sounds and tell myself it’s only an opossum. But not far from where I live a lady disappeared without a trace a few years back. It was big news and very strange. She was simply walking on her farm. I’m thinking of covering some cases myself one day but do hope you will too. Happy to be of any help on research.
I'm from new Zealand and know where stephanie was hiking and most likely she was enjoying one of the many waterways that are off track and most likely soaking her feet but made the common mistake of underestimating undercurrents as well as the extremely slippery rocks claim many lives each year, as far as press.. you must respect how few journalists there are to report on incidents especially in such rural areas. Take care out there x
I was JUST researching morgan heimers case yesterday and thinking about how i was hoping you would cover it; i didnt even know you already had a video on him! Awesome 😁

Being an experienced hiker, I would like to highlight the treacherous nature of boulder fields and hiking alone in icy conditions. I feel like a lot of the unsolved cases reported here could be explained by the fact that many people were hiking in areas where boulder fields are prevalent and if they are without assistance, would explain how they met their end. This would also explain how they could be missed upon initial examination due to accumulated icing, whereas when the ice melted, it exposed the final resting place of these unfortunate people. Never go hiking alone, always relay your return time to a close friend or relative, and make sure to stay within your abilities as if you end up on your own, it is what it is at that point and you will have to figure out how to make it back to civilization. I am struck by the number of these cases where they consider themselves competent, yet ultimately found themselves in trouble. Don't push your limits unless you have trusted and knowledgable fellow hikers to bale you out when you are in over your head, as if it is just you end up by yourself, you might not make it out alive to tell the tale. Please respect the wilderness and everything it offers, both good and bad. Prepare yourself as much as possible and don't extend yourself beyond what you are capable of, as help is often a little too far to rescue you if you find yourself in a situation.
Don't people like Stephanie's family want answers if they don't have some of the answers to the questions raised here? Surely a family member would ask questions about her cause of death, even if it didn't end up in the papers.... Also, it seems that the authorities consistently underestimate the strength of the human spirit by stating that they could only go so far only to be proven wrong in cases where the body is later found way further away.
What does experienced hiker/physically fit mean? I personally know folks who you could say that about but I wouldn't trust them to handle things if they went sideways. Mental preparedness is vital. Period.
Born and raised in Alaska. Considering all the wildlife we have, and the sudden "cold spots" we get there, I would imagine most of them turned up frozen, or as animal food. You need to be prepared when heading out into the Alaskan wilderness.
Your accsent is sooo cute and I'm not being silly or anything I just really love how clearly you pronounce your words and your accsent is wonderful,I love your channel Adam you do a lot of background study on your subjects👍
I think another reason why some reporting is so vague is because much of these areas are tourist based. National parks wouldn't see near the numbers they do. Also alaska is more tourist based than you think, even the crime rates are often glossed over to keep that tourism money coming in.
America's National Parks have absolutely no interest in searching for or locating any missing persons from their property. Canam Missing Project TH-cam channel is proof of this. Seems that all of those missing humans had a purpose concerning the end of their lives. The question is, "For whose or what purpose?"
I believe it has something to do with a deal of some sorts that was made between the government & with whatever is responsible for stealing these people that if it happens in certain designated areas that it won't be looked into deeper than the initial search & rescue if even that occurs. I believe this deal was made with Roosevelt which was the reasoning behind his national park endeavors.
@@Bhappi137 don’t let this discourage you. If you do go hiking go with friends and take stuff you’ll need use full stuff. Always go prepared and always be aware
@@marcosmendez8805 I agree. I'm baffled by how many people don't know how to use a compass. Just know ahead of time what trails you'll take based on difficulty and conditions. Always check in before and after with either rangers or friends/family.

Have you all heard of the former US police detective, David Paulides, who has investigated thousands of cases like the ones discussed in this video, but has been unable to conclude how and why people are disappearing around the World? In particular, he identifies the issue of victims removing their footwear and back-packs, particularly near water, especially when there are sudden changes in weather patterns. He also indicates that bodies of victims often turn up in areas that have already been searched, sometimes multiple times, and there is no explanation about how this occurs. Also, sniffer dogs often loose the scent of victims and unusually get "confused" about where victims have gone next, with the victim's footprints suddenly coming to an end as if they have just disappeared into thin air. Apparently, David Paulides has repeatedly asked US National Parks' authorities for the files relating to people who have disappeared, but they refuse to release this data, often clamming up and telling him to desist further with his investigations, in addition to their stating that the reports in their possession will NEVER be released. In some cases, the FBI have been called in to help with investigations but, normally, this FBI involvement is very unusual, so why have they had an interest in such disappearances? Additionally, German scientists who go hiking in US National Parks are also much more likely to go missing than scientists of other nationalities, which is really weird. There are many other unusual commonalities relating to all of these disappearances, but no one is any the wiser relating to why this is or what is going on!
There is plenty of explanation why people remove their clothing. It's a symptom of hypothermia. The body heats up once it begins to freeze. This is why Paulides is a terrible source, he does this to drum up sensationalism for his books and features. Don't be sheep.

I am an avid hiker and sometimes its nice to put your hot sometimes swollen feet in a cool pool of water!!! Common practice for hikers because you have to take care of your feet!!!
15:45 I’ve been in the woods all my life, grew up surrounded by them. Never mistook anything for a person, I did briefly think a mountain lion was a Great Dane and 3 black bears were a pack of dogs. Both of those things were less than 10 seconds before it was like “oh, that’s not good.” Lol
You know I have never understood why people think removing your boots is weird. Have you ever been walking for a really long time and taken your boots off? It feels amazing because your feet hurt so much especially with blisters too. Taking your boots off just relieves all thag pain and pressure. Sure you'd put them back on but not if your feet hurt that much I'd prefer walking without them for a short while.

Stephanie Simpson is particularly chilling to me...I moved to New Zealand in 2006 and lived there for two years as an expat. Although I did travel in large groups at times, I also liked to go hiking by myself as well, although like Stephanie I was always certain to tell people where I was going. I am very familiar with the Wanaka region and even though summer days in the South Island can be very warm, the weather can change very drastically with little to no warning - in fact a group of us nearly got stuck at the top of Mount Ruapehu when a sudden storm moved in, and one of the girls had to be carried off the trail by DOC rangers. New Zealand is _very_ wet especially at higher elevations and even if the temperature was mild Stephanie could have easily become hypothermic if her clothes or boots got wet. My personal theory re: the boots, I suspect they may have gotten waterlogged. There are no predatory animals anywhere in the country that could explain her disappearance, so I suspect she died of exposure.
I think you're right about the boots, or at least on the right track. People seem to really focus on that aspect as being very suspicious, but I think it's fairly common. I've hear a lot of backpackers say to take your boots/shoes off whenever you stop to rest to A) dry out any water or sweat from them B) let your feet air out to prevent trench foot C) so you can soak your feet in the cold water of a lake or stream to reduce swelling of the feet. A lot of backpacker also leave their pack behind, near the trail, when they go to the bathroom or take a dip in a lake. I don't see anything suspicious about Stephanie's death, just a tragic accident.
I’m a kiwi it’s pretty common to take a dip in a waterfall in summer, we do it often but there is a bit of reporting on this case in the nz media and the police and search and rescues team theory was is that she became disoriented after becoming lost in some pretty tough terrain, took off her boots to cross the stream but underestimated that during the afternoon a lot of streams and rivers in nz have a more powerful flow and current due to the amount of melting glacial water and she was washed downstream and drowned.
I always carried a whistle with me as my husband and hunted together for 25 years. If we got separated I could use the whistle so he could find me. He was great in the forest but I got lost going around a tree. Others really should carry a whistle and flares it could save lives.
I was listening to a crime podcast regarding the disappearance of the husband of Carol Baskin, the whole case made infamous by the Tiger King show. In that, they mentioned expert opinions on big cats that there is absolutely no way a big cat could kill and devour an adult in a short time and leaving no remains. Yet in Missing411 cases the opinion of authorities is like "yeah, mountain lion got them".

I know really. Nowadays I would bring a camera, flares, foghorn, fireworks, a drone LoL
Or perhaps one of those alarm devices that can fit on a key ring. Press that and it could ruin your hearing! It's extremely loud.
If you don't have time to scream you don't have time to blow a fucking whistle
Thanks!

Okay...
@@donnablack6280 So what do you use Donna a burner phone? I mean you know the old type or they don’t track
Don't you think it's more likely they blacked out rather than walked into a time warp? People can black out and continue to function similar to sleep walking.
If you are reading this, it is my sincere hope that neither you, nor any of your family, friends or loved ones EVER goes missing. ✌💕💖

The numbers of people that go missing per year expressed as a percentage happens to be the same percentage as the amount of animals that get picked off from a herd in a year by predators. It implies we are being farmed.

We will always patiently wait for your next video. Your hard work and dedication shows through your videos,. Keep up the great content.

It's rather strange how in many of these cases the weather oftenly changes for the worst during a search...
That just something the searches make up so they don't continue the search or because they can't find anything plausible to fit what they don't find..so they will make up stuff...

No problem, I too had to look back.
Take care out there x

were there 4 bullets missing from mike's sidearm when searchers found his backpack , handgun and bear spray?

Born and raised in Alaska. Considering all the wildlife we have, and the sudden "cold spots" we get there, I would imagine most of them turned up frozen, or as animal food. You need to be prepared when heading out into the Alaskan wilderness.

Love your videos Adam! My top 3 fav.channels this is one👍👍
David Paulides has definetley exposed the way they feel about the missing. Its saddening and infuriating.

Too sensationalist for me. Normie entertainment.
There is plenty of explanation why people remove their clothing. It's a symptom of hypothermia. The body heats up once it begins to freeze. This is why Paulides is a terrible source, he does this to drum up sensationalism for his books and features. Don't be sheep.

Not bad I fig it would be completely full of the same S&R cases. I love these types of cases more than ones in urban surroundings. Nature is beautiful but of late it seems there's strange things occurring or maybe it always has and now the media has a way of showing peoples last point seen thru phones and other records. Thank you
Agree to both
I am an avid hiker and sometimes its nice to put your hot sometimes swollen feet in a cool pool of water!!! Common practice for hikers because you have to take care of your feet!!!
Wow lots gone on. Thanks for sharing their stories.
I like this video I prefer these ones, cause when the videos of yourself I get distracted with your hands waving 😂😂, I do like your accent it’s relaxing, im from Scotland so not too far from you I think. Take care and stay safe x
Child cases are heartbreaking...
26:50 what a wonderful view, it looks like Sweden.
Oh how I love and long for the winter; the cold, snow, darkness and bright stars abow.
Aren’t there any Yowie in NZ ?
Thank you. Very interesting and you did lots of research. Thanks!
Eyebrows & eye liner on fleek girl. Your composition game is strong.
