    Hey folks, as I explained briefly at the start of this video it is unfortunately that time of year were certain behind the scenes adminy type things need to take place… Mostly taxes and things like that so I don’t get in trouble with the law. That’s all sorted now though and the good news is that I’ve already started on the research for the next video which will be exclusively set in the UK (providing I don’t come across anything else that needs discussing alongside the UK cases.)
    If you are aware of any disappearances that you believe need highlighting (inside the UK or otherwise) then do let me know, I’m always happy to set aside some time to have a good read up.
    I will be back on camera for the next video too, I unfortunately just lost too much time to have anything ready for today so I’ve put together this compilation of disappearances discussed in the last 12 months and I’ve provided timestamps as well so you can skip across the video if you have already learned about a specific disappearance and want to move on to the next. Links to the original videos are in the description too!
    I hope that all is well and I’ll try to have the next video ready sooner than usual.
    Edit: Happy thanksgiving to all of my American viewers! I had completely forgot 👍

    Everytime I hear about a kid going missing in a forest I think about the safety whistle my mom gave me when I first went to Girl Scout camp. It was Buddy Camp so I was never really out of her sight, but if I ever did wander off I knew all I had to do was blow that insanely loud whistle and someone would come find me. I can't help but wonder how many missing kids could have been found in time if they'd had a safety whistle.

    • @cousinsister69
      @cousinsister69 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Or perhaps one of those alarm devices that can fit on a key ring. Press that and it could ruin your hearing! It's extremely loud.

      @@Special_Tactics_Force_Unit In fairness, I bet a lot of these kids DID scream, but their voices were silenced from being trapped inside a Sasquatchian-field portable pocket dimension - the "Oz Effect". I doubt a whistle would be any more audible.

    • @the_inkslayer5921
      @the_inkslayer5921 3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@DarhaLB a lot of people that have gone missing have had whistles as well as guns. If its pouring rain or youre stuck in a snowstorm, then the whistle will not help you. Hunters that are in trouble know to fire 3 warning shots which alerts anybody that somebody needs help. And these hunters that go missing, dont even do that. Sometimes park rangers find their guns leaning against trees or miles away from their bodies (if found), or they never find any trace of them. A personal locator beacon is a great device in those scenarios. However, i feel like the reason people dont fire their guns or whistle or scream is that they dont realize they are in danger until its too late, or in some instances maybe they have and still nobody heard them. Humans are naturally curious, and experienced hunters would nottttt go off trail unless something interested them. I cant speak for people who aren’t experienced as they could wonder off trail and not realize it, but the for the avid hunters-that just doesnt make sense. They have every single kind of survival gear with them, and it doesnt seem to matter. There is a docu movie called The Hunted by David Paulides and his team, and they go into further detail about these hunters that have gone missing in very bizarre events. It’s a great documentary that makes you realize that something is happening to these people besides being lost and dying in the elements. Something else is at play.

  • @muddyshoesgardener

    I went off trail once due to bees. That experience traumatized me. I think everyone should have a personal locator beacon. Everyone says “ It won’t happen to me”. Also, most people keep walking when lost. Note to everyone- unless there are bees, bears, etc Stay Put! Thanks!

  • @charleslong5373
    @charleslong5373 3 ปีที่แล้ว +28

    It’s like these people step into a dimensional time and distance warp, come out somewhere else, don’t know where they are, get lost, cannot find their way back. Some people want to go missing. It’s very interesting that when a person goes missing and they find his parked car, they find his cell phone, his GPS, and his emergency locator in the car.

    My thoughts about the old men in Germany: I live in Austria. And over here it is common for ppl with dementia or Alzheimer's are trying to hide it. Often they end up venturing off and go lost. It is very sad. But this cases are similar to them I hear sometimes in the news here.

    • @Janellabelle
      @Janellabelle 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They hide it in the United States as well due to our predator conservatorship laws. If grandma ends up in a conservatorship due to dementia (the most common reason), mark my words that conservator will take everything she ever worked for, chew her up, and spit her out.

    • @Alexandra_Wolf
      @Alexandra_Wolf 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Janellabelle there are multiple types of conservatorships. One is the one you get over someone when they have dementia and one is a financial one. So you don’t necessarily have to have your finances taken over to have a conservator. You can even just have a power of attorney who doesn’t have control of finances or one who does. It saved my moms life. When her POA Died of cancer she immediately got very sick, spent all her money, and ended up in prison. So they can be very beneficial. Some people who are mentally ill or facing addictions need temporary ones. They aren’t inherently evil. It doesn’t have to be your family in charge of them Either. .

      @@Alexandra_Wolf Yeah I got the feeling that the comment was conflating that position with someone whom is always dishonest & out to get over on the person from which they are overseeing for example Britney Spears father. I assume that is because the malicious ones are the only ones ever reported & that the overwhelming majority are probably working as they should & are therefore not worth the scrutiny or interest of the public. I'm sorry about your mother though, I hope she was able to bounce back & is doing well these days. I also commend you for wearing your seatbelt in your profile image, safety first! Plus that image of you is more than likely used to convince hardheaded kids too wear their seatbelt. I know if I was a stubborn kid (which I was) & was refusing to wear my seatbelt (which I did) I would have immediately began buckling up if someone has shown me that image of you wearing it. My little kid brain would have seen such a gorgeous woman wearing the seatbelt & would have assumed if I wore my seatbelt that perhaps we would eventually get married & have five children. So who knows your choice to have that as your pic has probably saved countless lives.

    I’m in as far in northeast Mississippi USA you can go. I absolutely love your voice. Something big is going on in the woods , parks , and national parks. I know some people have went into the woods to live . There are articles on that from hundreds of years ago. I know big foot is real but you can’t say that out loud to people who have never experienced one. I have seen ufo of bronze color sitting still in the sky right above my car for 5 minutes straight. When it disappeared it didn’t fly away. It was a huge flash of light that blinded me that only lasted a second. This was 7 am of a morning. I was crossing the Tennessee river near Waterloo Alabama. There were 5 other cars who stopped like I did looking at it. 3 of the cars were my coworkers following each other to a job site . I don’t know who the other car was . It’s like it went into a worm hole or bent space and time. I believe Nicola Tesla was onto something really good is why he died .

    • @michaelkilcourse517
      @michaelkilcourse517 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree, I shudder to think whats going on in america national parks and forestries, I know bigfoot are taking people, but theres weirder and darker things out there to worry about rather than just bigfoot

    • @Alexandra_Wolf
      @Alexandra_Wolf 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I totally agree. I would love to know your experience with big foot or why you’re a believer?
      It’s statically impossible not to have intelligent life in all of the universes, planets, and unexplored universes. The missing 411 series is amazing. I just started believing in big foot. In fact I learned the government nicknamed him big foot in a PR attempt to make it sound so silly that anyone reporting to see one would sound ridiculous. If they gave him a more serious name or only called it a Sasquatch people may have taken it more serious.
      So many Reddit stories about Boulders like the size of Fiats, being thrown at hikers. Logs giant logs being smacked against trees then thrown down hill also. I believe the government has a deal. National parks are fair game for hunting for some types of aliens .(there are good neutral and bad ones) or Sasquatch. Everyone is lost is near a mountain, body of water, Boulder fields, and an item is found a year later looking like it was never left out in the rain or sun. All easy places to hide a UFO, by blending in with mountains or water using a shield, or Sasquatch in the cave systems. Especially since the map of missing people and cave systems snd national parks and forests line up EXT. I feel like whatever takes them goes back to places that’s been searched and leaves an item.
      Another story an older man in new York who couldn’t walk more than two miles, had a hearing aid, a BOW-STAFF, a huge gun and was with two sons and 6 people was standing by his truck while they hunted. His disappeared. They didn’t even find a candy wrapper. How Can you pick up and carry a 200 pound man with backpack, bow staff gun and never find a trace of him. FBI came. They never do for adults. Another one GREEN berets came. I’ve met them- they do NOT come for searches for missing people. They had to have found a creature or something serious to have green beret come.

      This is unrelated to the current topic of discussion, but I was just curious on your method of crushing cupcakes. Like are you a sitter, squeezer, puncher, thrower, kicker xcetera? Or do you perhaps mix it up & perform a few different styles all at once? I'm just trying to gain some insight to consider for my very own cupcake crushing technique. It's been a long & intense journey, but I've almost completely developed my methodology, just adding a few more critiques before I reveal it to the world & it's at that point when no cupcakes will ever be safe from my wrath. After I've crushed enough I'm really thinking of even moving up to including just cakes altogether even the super boss of them all... The formidable wedding cake.

    I’m addicted to your channel and as an audio book narrator myself I know the work that goes into these stories. And the research you do. Superb. Interesting to hear a New Zealand case mentioned. Sadly it received little coverage here.. People go missing so often at Mt Aspiring area and when climbing Mt Cook or in other Sth Island locations that it’s more a case of “just another missing tourist “. You could do a whole series on missing people in NZ. There are some well documented cases. And sadly some have been foul play. We don’t have Big Foot or Skin Walkers but Maori legends abound of mysterious little people and the fearsome Taniwha. There are some forest areas which I’d never venture alone into. Even driving through them provokes fear. Having just moved to the country I listen to the night sounds and tell myself it’s only an opossum. But not far from where I live a lady disappeared without a trace a few years back. It was big news and very strange. She was simply walking on her farm. I’m thinking of covering some cases myself one day but do hope you will too. Happy to be of any help on research.

    Couldn't Stephanie have set down her stuff and took off her boots because her feet hurt from walking and she wanted to put her feet into the water for relief? Did they not say where her stuff was found? If so it could've been found next to the water. Also she could've been very thirsty and dehydrated. You'll do almost anything if you are beyond thirsty. The waterfall and moving water would seem ideal if she needed relief right then. Could she have slipped and drown? Did they say a cause of death?

    Don't people like Stephanie's family want answers if they don't have some of the answers to the questions raised here? Surely a family member would ask questions about her cause of death, even if it didn't end up in the papers....
    Also, it seems that the authorities consistently underestimate the strength of the human spirit by stating that they could only go so far only to be proven wrong in cases where the body is later found way further away.

    Being an experienced hiker, I would like to highlight the treacherous nature of boulder fields and hiking alone in icy conditions. I feel like a lot of the unsolved cases reported here could be explained by the fact that many people were hiking in areas where boulder fields are prevalent and if they are without assistance, would explain how they met their end. This would also explain how they could be missed upon initial examination due to accumulated icing, whereas when the ice melted, it exposed the final resting place of these unfortunate people. Never go hiking alone, always relay your return time to a close friend or relative, and make sure to stay within your abilities as if you end up on your own, it is what it is at that point and you will have to figure out how to make it back to civilization. I am struck by the number of these cases where they consider themselves competent, yet ultimately found themselves in trouble. Don't push your limits unless you have trusted and knowledgable fellow hikers to bale you out when you are in over your head, as if it is just you end up by yourself, you might not make it out alive to tell the tale. Please respect the wilderness and everything it offers, both good and bad. Prepare yourself as much as possible and don't extend yourself beyond what you are capable of, as help is often a little too far to rescue you if you find yourself in a situation.

    Stephanie Simpson is particularly chilling to me...I moved to New Zealand in 2006 and lived there for two years as an expat. Although I did travel in large groups at times, I also liked to go hiking by myself as well, although like Stephanie I was always certain to tell people where I was going. I am very familiar with the Wanaka region and even though summer days in the South Island can be very warm, the weather can change very drastically with little to no warning - in fact a group of us nearly got stuck at the top of Mount Ruapehu when a sudden storm moved in, and one of the girls had to be carried off the trail by DOC rangers. New Zealand is _very_ wet especially at higher elevations and even if the temperature was mild Stephanie could have easily become hypothermic if her clothes or boots got wet. My personal theory re: the boots, I suspect they may have gotten waterlogged. There are no predatory animals anywhere in the country that could explain her disappearance, so I suspect she died of exposure.

    • @charlesward8632
      @charlesward8632 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think you're right about the boots, or at least on the right track. People seem to really focus on that aspect as being very suspicious, but I think it's fairly common. I've hear a lot of backpackers say to take your boots/shoes off whenever you stop to rest to A) dry out any water or sweat from them B) let your feet air out to prevent trench foot C) so you can soak your feet in the cold water of a lake or stream to reduce swelling of the feet. A lot of backpacker also leave their pack behind, near the trail, when they go to the bathroom or take a dip in a lake. I don't see anything suspicious about Stephanie's death, just a tragic accident.

    I'd love to know the contents of Stephanie's backpack and how far it was found from the edge of the water and from the boots. With Temps 47f at night and 77 during the day, if I was out of water I would have tried to acquire more from that river/stream. Not wanting to soak my boots or slip on wet rocks, I would have removed my boots, and my backpack to avoid being top heavy. This doesn't explain why she never returned to her boots or pack, but might explain why they were removed. I'd also be interested in knowing how far her body was found from the likely point of entry to that stream (relative to her boots/pack) as well as the depth of the water and distance to the opposite bank. I am an avid hiker and sometimes its nice to put your hot sometimes swollen feet in a cool pool of water!!! Common practice for hikers because you have to take care of your feet!!!

    Have you all heard of the former US police detective, David Paulides, who has investigated thousands of cases like the ones discussed in this video, but has been unable to conclude how and why people are disappearing around the World? In particular, he identifies the issue of victims removing their footwear and back-packs, particularly near water, especially when there are sudden changes in weather patterns. He also indicates that bodies of victims often turn up in areas that have already been searched, sometimes multiple times, and there is no explanation about how this occurs. Also, sniffer dogs often loose the scent of victims and unusually get "confused" about where victims have gone next, with the victim's footprints suddenly coming to an end as if they have just disappeared into thin air. Apparently, David Paulides has repeatedly asked US National Parks' authorities for the files relating to people who have disappeared, but they refuse to release this data, often clamming up and telling him to desist further with his investigations, in addition to their stating that the reports in their possession will NEVER be released. In some cases, the FBI have been called in to help with investigations but, normally, this FBI involvement is very unusual, so why have they had an interest in such disappearances? Additionally, German scientists who go hiking in US National Parks are also much more likely to go missing than scientists of other nationalities, which is really weird. There are many other unusual commonalities relating to all of these disappearances, but no one is any the wiser relating to why this is or what is going on!

      Too sensationalist for me. Normie entertainment.

      There is plenty of explanation why people remove their clothing. It's a symptom of hypothermia. The body heats up once it begins to freeze. This is why Paulides is a terrible source, he does this to drum up sensationalism for his books and features. Don't be sheep.

    America's National Parks have absolutely no interest in searching for or locating any missing persons from their property. Canam Missing Project TH-cam channel is proof of this. Seems that all of those missing humans had a purpose concerning the end of their lives. The question is, "For whose or what purpose?"

      David Paulides has definetley exposed the way they feel about the missing. Its saddening and infuriating.

      I believe it has something to do with a deal of some sorts that was made between the government & with whatever is responsible for stealing these people that if it happens in certain designated areas that it won't be looked into deeper than the initial search & rescue if even that occurs. I believe this deal was made with Roosevelt which was the reasoning behind his national park endeavors.

    These disappearing stories are so scary...I didn't think of it at the time but looking back...My work sent me to work at the at the time new Gloucester quays shopping centre. I had a half day off so from London I decided to look about I found a country park.. Parked up and went for a walk..half way through I felt a terrible fear and felt surrounded I wanted to run but felt it might make things worse..I got back to the car park and was shacking with fear...Looking back after reading these things I wonder what it was. True story.

      It's like when they somehow found the charred but intact passports of the terrorists on 9/11 that somehow survived the crash to then be discovered amongst all of that chaos & destruction. Very likely indeed.

    I’d love it if you could cover “The Pusher”, if I’m right from 2010 eighty young men have been found dead around the canals of Manchester after what we here in Manchester believe to be at the hands of a serial killer, channel4 did a documentary about the pusher and the story has made headlines in the Manchester Evening News, xxx
