  • Hammered this out in about five minutes flat, such a fun, cool bit of software
It's called Amigo, made by Stekker and PotenzaDSP - y'can get it here: www.potenzadsp...
I'm also using Digitalis by Aberrant for the glitchy goodness:

If you like what I do, check me out on Bandcamp:

This thing will definitely be replacing my Octo Rex workflow (sorry Propellerhead)

Reason vs. Renoise for jungle 🤔 I got confused when I first found out about Renoise, thinking it was also made by Propellerhead 😂

Renoise is better unless you’re better at Reason

Renoise is a lot better for sample mangling, because its main concept is about sequencing samples. Complete set of editing/chopping/slicing functionality too. You can do a lot of it in Reason too, but not everything, and not as quick amd easy.
VST support and nice integration of external gear too, which Reason can't do - you'd have to use its VST version, but then you'd have to bother with a whole second DAW running it.
The only thing Renoise isn't good for is multitrack recording. There are workarounds, but it just isn't made for it.
For jungle, dnb and anything else sample based, Remoise is clearly better. Jungle practically grew on the fertile grounds of tracker software back then.

Thanks! The DAW is Reason, the bit of kit I'm using to tweak effects with MIDI is the Korg Nanokontrol 2 and you can't see it here but I like the Arturia Keystep for playing and inputting notes/samples etc.

Three different samplers and a effects VSTs used in Reason. I think there own samplers are good.

Bought it last week, brilliant! I love it!
How do you midi control / automate the parameters in the Amigo?

    • @AlphaChromeYayo
      @AlphaChromeYayo  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

Hey, glad you like it! Re automation, it works the same way as automating any other VST in Reason - there's an option to automate at the top of the window, and also an option to remote map any of the functions to midi.
I'm not sure what DAW you're using, but I think most have similar options somewhere! Hope you get sorted.

Get it! I got into production in the late 90s, so I got an amiga and shit later because it was cheap, but ended up using it creatively.
This sampler is made with SO MUCH LOVE. They literally intergrated the top 5 thing I always loved about an amiga with a sampler cart. So perfect. They do ALL the things and it sounds great. This dude is using Digitalis for effects and that's super fun too!
I bought it on release-day and every single friend i've shown it to has bought it and they're all super stoked on it. I know the quid is high rn, but just get it. It's incredible.
