There's also 3 main wand core that Ollivander use in his wand that he sells and all 3 of it (dragon heartstring, unicorn hair, phoenix feather) is the core of the wands of golden trio, and also there's 3 magical blood (that can do magic) pure blood, half blood, and muggleborn. This 3 blood is also the blood of the golden trio. (Sorry for my grammar)
well the weasleys are a pure-blood family but they are regarded as blood traitors. So they no longer count as pure-blood. also, a theory that I have thought of is that magic could be genetic. Like muggleborns might have a witch or wizard in their family lineage. For example, Hermione Granger was muggle born, but there was a time where Slughorn thought she was related to some wizard named Hector Dagworth-Granger, who invented some kind of famous spell. While the character was only mentioned once so he and Hermione have no relation, maybe he could have been a distant ancestor. Again, this is probably not true, just a thought.
Harry is a half blood (Mother lily is a muggle, whereas Dad James is a pure blood), same as both Voldemort (muggle dad, witch mam) and Snape (not sure on heritage but he is the half blood prince)
There is also the Granger and Crouch family. Harry had 3 father figures in Hagrid, Sirius and Dumbledore. Harry also had 3 wands that were loyal to him his own, Draco’s and the elder wand.
I think it counts that three mother's save Harry's life from Voldemort. His own mother because the power of love, his aunt Petunia because she shares her sister's blood thus having a protection spell until his 17th year, and Draco Malfoy's mom who lie to Voldemort after finding out her son was still alive.
@sonabansal7233 You make a good point, but I didn't forget Molly. However, I was mostly talking about Harry being saved from Voldemort from a life and death situation. I love Molly though, but reading from the novels I don't remember Molly save Harry's life from Voldemort's threat.
During his years at Hogwarts, the Dursleys give Harry three Christmas gifts: a sixpence, a toothpick and a tissue. There is a theory that theese three items refect the Resurrection Stone, the Elder Wand and the Invisibility Cloak.
@@catgirl7765 I wasn't calling the theory crazy, I was just saying that maybe someone was reading too much into it. But now that I've thought about it a bit more, I actually think this is some really great foreshadowing and attention to detail from the author.

The Lupins 1.0 - Remus, Lyall and Hope, and the Lupins 2.0 - Teddy, Remus and Nymphodora 4. The Grangers - Hermione and her Muggle parents 5. The Prewett siblings - Molly, Fabian and Gideon Other things that Iʼve noticed: 6. The Lockhart siblings - Gilderoy and his two Squib sisters 7. The three people Voldemort kills to get to the Elder Wand - Mykew Gregorovitch, Gellert Grildewald and Severus Snape 8. The times Harry misses the Sorting - Book 2, Book 3 and Book 6 9. The three locations Voldemort visits to determine if his horcuxes had been stolen - the bank, the cave and Hogwarts 10. Each character who smells Amortentia in Book 6 names three things they can smell 11. Bill and Fleurʼs children - Victoire, Louis and Dominique
1) Ted Tonks, Dean Thomas and Gornuk - tried to escape Voldemort and the ministry as a trio. 2) Voldemort 's original name was Tom Marvolo Riddle (three word name) 3) Harry's Children also had three word names : James Sirius Potter, Albus Severus Potter, Lilly Luna Potter. 4) Dumbledore was offered the position of Minister of magic 3 times, refusing it everytime. (It is a reference to Julius Caesar refusing the crown three times as mentioned in Mark Antony's speech after the assassination of Caesar). 5) Ron, Fred and George were the 3 people who came to rescue Harry from the Dursleys in the beginning of Chamber of Secrets.

I only watched Harry Potter movies and have only few knowledge about Books 1. Chamber of secrets was opened by 3 people other then Slytherins - Ginny, Harry & Ron 2.out of 7 Horcrux - 3 Horcrux was destroyed by Sword of Gryffindor (Voldemort' Ring, Slytherin's Locket and Nagini ) & 3 Horcrux was destroyed by Basilisk Venomous fang ( Tom Riddle's diary, Hufflepuff Cup and Ravenclaw diadem) 3. 3 person killed in 4th book. Old man in cemetery, Barty crouch senior and Cedric digary 4. Harry uses spell 3 times outside of Hogwarts when he was in underage 5. Harry raides 3 different flying creatures Buckpeak, Dragon in Gringgards and Thestrals 6. Harry went Ministry of magic 3 times 7. 3 House elfs Dobby, Kreacher and Winky
In all fairness, 3 and 7 show up in a lot of places across mythology and fiction in general. Anyways, a few more 3s: Hogwarts is divided into 3 of what I believe would be called forms in Muggle British schooling: Beginner: Years 1-2, everyone takes te 7 core classes. Middle: Years 3-5: Everyone continues taking the core classes and adds 2-3 electives. Concludes with the OWL exams. Advanced: Years 6-7: Students can drop core classes if they want to and may drop their electives. Concludes with the NEWT exams. Also, Harry had 3 Good DADA teachers(LUpin, Fake Moody, and Snape) and 3 bad DADA instructors(Quirrel, Lockhart, and Umbitch) Dumbledore had three middle names and held three positions of authority. three of the Horcruxes where destroyed with Gryffindor's sword(The Locket, the Ring, and Nagini). Three of the Book titles reference powerful magical artifacts(Philosopher's Stone, Goblet of Fire, and Deathly Hallows). There are three main classes of offensive spell: Jinx, Hex, and Curse. More Trios: Three Weasley brothers Harry was close to(Ron, Fred, and George), 3 Weasley Brothers he had looser ties too(Bill, Charlie, and Percy), 3 Prewett Siblings(Molly, Fabeian and Giddeon), 3 significant Half-Bloods with miserable childhoods(Harry, Tom, and Snape), 3 Gryffindor Girls in Harry's year that are mentioned regularly(Hermione, Lavender, and Parvati). There are 3 types of coin used by Wizards: Knuts, Sickles, and Galleons. Harry has had 3 adventures involving Dragons: Norberta, THe First Task, and the Gringotts Heist. Each Hogwarts house has 3 prefects of each sex at any given time. There are 3 standard pets allowed at Hogwarts: Owls, Toads, and Cats. Three of the Heads of House during Harry's time at Hogwarts have Alliterative names. And while another commenter mentioned a few characters with 3-part names, I don't think that really counts since 3-part names are the norm in the English speaking world... Though, Harry Potter is rather unusual in just how many of its characters have known middle names when so many other works of fiction will only give use a afirst and last name for characters who can, by naming norms of the real world culture the setting is embedded within, be assumed to have middle names... and with how some works don't even give us character's last names or give us last names but then leave characters' parents unnamed or similar.
Great video. I think it should also be noted that the rule of 3 is a very common writing technique which can be conscious and unconscious. Seven is an extension of the rule of 3 as 6 is an even number and so in writing is uncomfortable as there is no northern point. e.g. if a scene has 6 people, there is no central character whereas in a 3, 5 or 7 the main character is flanked by equal numbers on each side.
That could hve been different at some point like it usded to be with Muggles. In the video there are several familys with three children. Besides there are still the muggle born children.
There's also a couple in the final battle: Ernie McMillan, Luna Lovegood, and Seamus Finnigan all cast Patronuses to ward off dementors who are swarming the golden trio; Slughorn, McGonagall, and Kingsley Shacklebolt are all fighting Voldemort before Harry arrives; before Molly going up to fight (and kill) Bellatrix she was duelling Luna, Ginny, and Hermione. Oh, and another one, is that there were three Gryffidor girls in Harry's year, Lavender, Parvati, and Hermione, though the friend group was Lavender, Parvati, and Padma. And one more, there are three different balls in quidditch: a quaffle, bludgers, and a golden snitch
True you can't blame Albus's father, but remember how the Ministry reacts to anyone endangering the Statute of Secrecy. It was endangering the statute, not the assault on the boys that gained him the harsh punishment.
Great video Morgan! I have 3 more examples for things you have forgotten: 1.By the time of the 3rd book there are 3 marauders alive (I love the reunion scene in both the book and the movie). 2.Remus is an only child, so he and his parents were another trio. 3.Speaking of Remus he married Nymphadora Tonks and had Teddy, so for a short while they were 3 as well.
Hermione and her parents Umbridge, Harry, and Hermione going into the Forbidden Forest to find "Dumbledore's secret weapon" Harry, Malfoy, and Fang in the Forbidden Forest looking for the beast in The Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone Harry, Ron, and Fang in the Forbidden Forest following the spiders in The Chamber of Secrets Lockhart, Harry, and Ron entering the Chamber of Secrets Ginny, Harry, and Fawkes left standing in the Chamber of Secrets after the big fight McGonagall, Slughorn, and Kingsley battling Voldemort together before Harry and Voldemort fight for the last time
Now if you could find a way to explain the obsession with socks and the color purple in the books that would be great. I did a search and socks are named something like 40 times in the books. It may not be that high but it’s high. And she uses purple to describe many thing. Or shades of it like lilac or lavender. It is very prevalent and more so than one of the two colors wizards usually wear in public. Check it out I checked socks are mentioned 76 times thru the 7 books. That’s more than 10 times per book on average!
The numbers 3 and 7 being significant also found in LOTR may be borrowed from consciously or subconsciously. 3 Hallows - 3 Silmaril, 7 Horcruxes - 7 Dwarven Rings.
Well it’s interesting three is a number in fantasy, fairy tales, and western folklore. I forgot why three in these examples but I’m assuming JKR is pulling from that consciously or subconsciously.
Because the number 3 is so ingrained in Christian iconography ( father , son, Holy Ghost) it is why used so much in English literature. Jk intentional tried to avoid it but it is very hard as it is the default grouping un·con·sciously

The Rule of Three (also Three-fold Law or Law of Return) is a religious tenet held by some Wiccans, Neo-Pagans and occultists. It states that whatever energy a person puts out into the world, be it positive or negative, will be returned to that person three times. Some subscribe to a variant of this law in which return is not necessarily threefold. Also since J.K. Rowling must of did research on The Triple Goddess. It is a deity or deity archetype revered in many Neopagan religious and spiritual traditions. In common Neopagan usage, the Triple Goddess is viewed as a triunity of three distinct aspects or figures united in one being. These three figures are often described as the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone, each of which symbolizes both a separate stage in the female life cycle and a phase of the Moon, and often rules one of the realms of heavens, earth, and underworld. In various forms of Wicca. So no surprise that a book based on witches and Wizards would have some connection to another myth and legends that have inspired it to be.

1. Chamber of secrets was opened by 3 people other then Slytherins - Ginny, Harry & Ron
2.out of 7 Horcrux - 3 Horcrux was destroyed by Sword of Gryffindor (Voldemort' Ring, Slytherin's Locket and Nagini ) & 3 Horcrux was destroyed by Basilisk Venomous fang ( Tom Riddle's diary, Hufflepuff Cup and Ravenclaw diadem)
3. 3 person killed in 4th book. Old man in cemetery, Barty crouch senior and Cedric digary
4. Harry uses spell 3 times outside of Hogwarts when he was in underage
5. Harry raides 3 different flying creatures Buckpeak, Dragon in Gringgards and Thestrals
6. Harry went Ministry of magic 3 times
7. 3 House elfs Dobby, Kreacher and Winky
He said the house elfs
The Diadem was destroyed by the demon fire in the room of requiremend.
@@sawanna508 Harry first stabbed Diadem with Basilisk fang then they threw it into demon fire
So what number will you talk about next on the channel as you have done 3 and 7
In all fairness, 3 and 7 show up in a lot of places across mythology and fiction in general.
Anyways, a few more 3s:
Hogwarts is divided into 3 of what I believe would be called forms in Muggle British schooling:
Beginner: Years 1-2, everyone takes te 7 core classes.
Middle: Years 3-5: Everyone continues taking the core classes and adds 2-3 electives. Concludes with the OWL exams.
Advanced: Years 6-7: Students can drop core classes if they want to and may drop their electives. Concludes with the NEWT exams.
Also, Harry had 3 Good DADA teachers(LUpin, Fake Moody, and Snape) and 3 bad DADA instructors(Quirrel, Lockhart, and Umbitch)
Dumbledore had three middle names and held three positions of authority.
three of the Horcruxes where destroyed with Gryffindor's sword(The Locket, the Ring, and Nagini).
PERCY JACKSON SHOW TRAILER HAS CAME OUT!!! DOES THIS MEAN NEW VIDEO???
Great video. I think it should also be noted that the rule of 3 is a very common writing technique which can be conscious and unconscious. Seven is an extension of the rule of 3 as 6 is an even number and so in writing is uncomfortable as there is no northern point. e.g. if a scene has 6 people, there is no central character whereas in a 3, 5 or 7 the main character is flanked by equal numbers on each side.
The big question is; how does wizard families keep being a thing when they only get one child per family :D
You have the Weaslys to compensate
The Granger Family (Hermione and her parents.)
Harry Potter and the prizoner of Azkaban, book 3, was the only book where Voldemort wasn't present.
True you can't blame Albus's father, but remember how the Ministry reacts to anyone endangering the Statute of Secrecy. It was endangering the statute, not the assault on the boys that gained him the harsh punishment.
It didn't help that they were never told the reason for the attack
Luna's family! ( Xnfileses, Luna, Pandora)
Agreed 100%. You should check out our Harry Potter Podcast!
Hermione and her parents
Umbridge, Harry, and Hermione going into the Forbidden Forest to find "Dumbledore's secret weapon"
Harry, Malfoy, and Fang in the Forbidden Forest looking for the beast in The Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone
Harry, Ron, and Fang in the Forbidden Forest following the spiders in The Chamber of Secrets
Lockhart, Harry, and Ron entering the Chamber of Secrets
Ginny, Harry, and Fawkes left standing in the Chamber of Secrets after the big fight
McGonagall, Slughorn, and Kingsley battling Voldemort together before Harry and Voldemort fight for the last time
Now if you could find a way to explain the obsession with socks and the color purple in the books that would be great. I did a search and socks are named something like 40 times in the books. It may not be that high but it’s high. And she uses purple to describe many thing. Or shades of it like lilac or lavender. It is very prevalent and more so than one of the two colors wizards usually wear in public. Check it out
I checked socks are mentioned 76 times thru the 7 books. That’s more than 10 times per book on average!
Agreed 100%. You should check out our Harry Potter Podcast!
Purple is associated with magic/mystery. So in a world of wizards it would be a popular colour.
76= 4 +72, 4 houses and 72 very divisible by 3
@@Markus2E5I6 yeah and I get that but it is in there a lot!!!! And the socks thing is so weird to me
j.k likes socks ig???
The numbers 3 and 7 being significant also found in LOTR may be borrowed from consciously or subconsciously. 3 Hallows - 3 Silmaril, 7 Horcruxes - 7 Dwarven Rings.
Lucius Draco narcissa: dumbledore and mcgonagall and snape lily potter James potter and Harry potter 😂❤❤
You have to tap your wand 3 times on the statue of the one eyed witch & say Dissendium
Love Harry Potter. But Morgan can we please get some more Percy Jackson content please? like maybe the Life of Annabeth Chase since the show and a new book is coming out?? Keep up the good work man!
Although it didn't really last the lupin family of Remus, tonks, and Teddy
A lot of those comes from the families that either have 1 or 3 kids because you can make a trio out of it.
Agreed 100%. You should check out our Harry Potter Podcast!
I need more percy jackson videos, also I'm basically percy, I have greenish blue eyes brown hair instead of black and from the art I've seen his face is just like mine, and when I read the books I was 12.
I created a very special Harry Potter three-o of my own-
Harry is a triplet with two identical twin sisters who's names Sophie and Sarah, making three Potter children- the Potter triplets: Harry, Sophie and Sarah!
The number 3 feels like the number that isn't too little or too much, it's just right. Also the same could probably apply to the number 5.
Agreed 100%. You should check out our Harry Potter Podcast!
Agreed
May not be a book thing but, the first 3 Harry potter movies were PG rated before the 4th film became PG-13, just something to add. Great Vid btw
Ofcourse there are many of 3s. It's one of the faritails number. Besides 7, no.3 is the most common. Good job of numbering the n.3s.
What is the meaning of life the meaning of life is 3
There were 3 of them cats that were guarding the French library, that muktiplied and got aggressive when attacked...
Hi movie flame i love your videos and i have a question
Do you play harry potter Hogwarts Mystery on Mobile?
If yes was is your user name and which house are you in
My username is Lila and im in gryffindor
So, is 10, 21, 4, -4, or the divided ones i can't be bothered figuring them out, the legendary number?
I think J.K.Rowling past life was Nikola Tesla, he did everything in three's LOL!
dumbledore, mcgonagall, snape.
Four triwizard champions (Krum, Fleur, Cedric, Harry), then one of them died.
after you saying how much you hate the cursed child i’m like” OOoOoOoOoO I HAVE to read this” I hated it
Lupin's family (the one with his parents has theee members) and the family Lupin froms with Tonks.
Fun fact: the numbers three and seven were both used a lot in fairytales like snowwhite and the seven dwarfs and how there’s three Cinderella movies
3 is common in Harry Potter because Rowling would get high 3 times a day with 3cc's of Heroin.
Phillies? Yikes. Knew there had to be a catch! Haha
Awesome video though, as per usual. 😀
3 great half blood wizards: voldemort Snape and Harry, from 3 different generations
Nympahadoras family: Nymphadors Tonks, Remus Lupin and Teddy Lupin
Every student at Hogwarts can choose between three different animals/pets to bring to school
The three mothers who saved Harry Potter all the time: LILY POTTER, MOLLY WEASLEY & NARCISSA MALFOY
Also the next great trio: Neville Longbottom, Ginerva Weasley and Luna Lovegood
Video really starts at 2:20
I quickly wanted to point out that the number 4 also appears quite a bit. (the 4 houses, alongside their founders, relics, etc. The Marauders and in Legacy: the 4 Keepers (and trials) and the wand movement of the Imperius Curse)
Agreed 100%. You should check out our Harry Potter Podcast!
Now I'm sad because they canceled "Fantastic Beasts" I like those movies.
I saw you mentioned Hogwarts legacy, so do you play the game and if so did you finish it.
Harry successfully fights off dementors 3 times (one of them being the bogus)
in the first book when harry gets the mail there are three letters the post card from anut marge the bill and of corse harry hogwarts letter
You should do this with all the Rick Riordan books
True
Tolkien and Wilbert Awdry's too...
@@TheLazyFusspot_3428I only said the Rick Riordan books because he has videos on those too but that’s still a good idea
All of you here probably finished the books and movies at least three times.
In the four movie of Harry Potter, the other 3 champions are 3 years older than Harry Potter
3 defence against the dark arts teachers were death eaters. Snape Barty crouch Jr and Carroll
It took 3 tries to get the right wand for Harry and the player from Hogwarts Legacy
There is also the lupin family. Remus, Nymphadora, and teddy
It's always a good day when Morgan posts a video.
Agreed 100%. You should check out our Harry Potter Podcast!
