      And aside from Cortez and Seau the rest were later in round one and later in the draft. So much talent aside from those top picks in every draft. A lot of it is the rest of the team. People for example will say a WR is a bust, well if no one can get the ball to him, how can he succeed? If a QB does not have a o-line how can he pass? People forget about the symbiosis of the rest of the team in the individuals success. RIP Seau too. Dude, was a warrior.

    I wonder what Dallas would’ve done with the 1st pick had they kept it.
    The draft has become almost as big as The Super Bowl.
    Probably 700 people in that room.
    700,000 were in Detroit. Insane how times have changed, but Tom Jackson at 13:52 proves the game is still the same. O-Line is SO important
    1990 was a good year for my Giants!

    jets fans laughing at the cowboys for using the number 1 pick the year before in the supplemental draft is quite funny in retrospect. Dallas would have picked blair thomas at 1 in all likelihood instead of the jets. Cowboys end up with the better rb later in the round.

    • @SteveKresminski
      @SteveKresminski  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      As a Cowboys fan I would like to think that they would have drafted Junior Seau or Cortez Kennedy and still drafted Emmitt later :). I remember being so mad when they drafted Steve Walsh in the Supplemental draft and giving up a 1st rounder because they weren't sold on Aikman yet. Thankfully they were still able to trade Walsh to the Saints later on that year for a 1st, 2nd and 3rd rounder.

    A read an article about the TV ratings being down for day 2 & 3 of the 2024 NFL Draft. Hopefully the NFL will make some changes on how they produce the show. I for one could do without how a different person announces each pick rounds 2 thru 7. So much time is wasted, just give us the name and go straight to the highlights and player analysis. And then you would have more time to interview coaches and also local sports media on how that player will fit with the team.

I did the draft and everything and I was super excited about it. As a 10-year-old it was the coolest thing ever. I would go to the library on Monday to check the boxscores in the paper and I would add up my scores. Like I said, it only lasted 4 weeks so I never got to see how I would've finished. I did get the Giants defense which won the Super Bowl and the Bears also had one of the best defenses in the league that year. Picking Emmitt Smith is something I will always remember.
