Nice video, it is good to see someone finding the non ferrous in the iron. I think it will take time to figure the machine out. You are much better at detecting in iron than the Calabash is.
It's not clay bash it's the loaner detector he got.its a bad one out of the lot I imagine their some more in that area off the line it wouldn't be the first time.
A good video. You seem to do some of the best videos. It loves the flat head roofing nails as they are galvanized and some have copper in them . On another note I'm noticing the manticore likes to call things 27-29 range which is in the nickel zone. I've only done one hunt at an old town site and had no problems with it picking out non ferrous at depth amongst the nails.
Really enjoyed seeing how well the machine worked in an area like that. Thanks for sharing the hunt and finds. That's crazy about those deer. Saw a group of cattle like that once that had been struck by lightning. I would think if they were poached that the person responsible would have at least taken the meat. Hope you get some answers. Good luck, happy hunting and take care.
Glad to have a first look at this detector. I was out with a friend who has the CTX3030 and I have the Equinox 800. We both passed up a blasting signal that we both thought was a can. Before we left I was back in that area and dug a Peace Dollar with nails in the hole. We were both blown away by it. I was in such shock that I called him over to take it out of the hole lol! One of my best detecting memories so far. When in doubt dig it out I guess lol! Those kind of sites are just like that and laden with the goodies intermingled with stuff. Also, I wanted to comment on the Deer. My other channel is a trail cam and wildlife channel. I’m glad you reported this to be investigated. How odd that so many were just dumped in that spot and most of the antlers sawed off, looks like. Why kill and dump. Just cruel. My husband hunts and we eat what he takes and don’t take more than what will be eaten by us or friends and family. Hope they catch the person. I recently reported an incident as well where someone had cut a Buck’s head off and left or dumped him.

@@IffySignals I get the feeling that to much is focused on gimmicks. Just like in smart phones. It's the basics that is important, the signal quality and the interpretation of them. I rank importance like this. 1 target separation 2 iron separation 3 aluminium separation 4 depth 5 degradation of performance due to power drop from batteries. I have seen a few manticore videos now and it just cant separate the tones, even though it separate on the 2D display. I don't understand why they didn't use stereo and correlated the audio with the visual. A peripheral target on the left, should be audible in the left head phone speaker. Thus the importance is to have simultaneous tones. The human brain can separate that information even if 3 audios, from 3 different location comes together. If you move the coil slowly the sound should shift to correlate to the targets moving. You know like the sound from an incoming train.I don't know any detector that use stereo sound. I mean 8 channel sound has been around since ABBA in the 70.s. For sure you saw the line of nails in Calabash video and each one created a false signal on the edge of the coil. The day after they used an 6 inch coil and it worked better of course. I recognize the falsing problem from my Explorer and that one is now retired to friend use. Now I'm using a Nokta macro racer 2. After 10 outings with it I'm still learning but have started pulling hammered coins already. The Explorer shatter box never managed to do that. The previous Garett could, but had other issues.
The deer could have died from chronic wasting disease, a parasitic virus that’s killing deer by the thousands in the northeast and won’t get curbed until the first hard freeze. No trauma and all co-located makes me think they were brought there. Horns missing for data collection. Just a guess.

@@mossig thanks for the feedback Jens. Definitely interesting to get others views. Appreciate it.
poor beasts
Yea
The deer could have died from chronic wasting disease, a parasitic virus that’s killing deer by the thousands in the northeast and won’t get curbed until the first hard freeze. No trauma and all co-located makes me think they were brought there. Horns missing for data collection. Just a guess.
Good point Charles.
Road kill dear ..
I was thinking that too but DEM said no. Said they would never leave them open like that.
@@IffySignals as a hunter I’m certain 99% of people hunting would never do something like that
@@crossforceusathirdhand agree 👍
You should let the game wardens know about the deer. That is a complete waste and against the law. Sure is a trashy area.
It was a while ago but i called everyone i could. Went back weeks later and they were still there. Mostly bones as other predators had gotten to them
@@IffySignals That's all you can do. I'm 73 and I've been hunting since I could carry a single barrel .410. I've killed a lot of deer and never let one go to waste. That kind of slaying indicates a hard and depraved heart. Someone in that area is an evil SOB.
