Beautiful! Thanks for doing a Canadian video! Love to see more one colour eye day looks. Could use some tips to shorten my makeup routine on rushed mornings.
This look really reminds me of when I first started watching you! I’m looking forward to your vlogs, I never miss your videos no matter how busy I get. Xx
I was thinking the same thing!...I think it's the combination of the longer, curled hair, & red lipstick💄. It really is such a classically glamorous look.💋
So I haven't even finished this video yet but I love that you said BOUNCE your sponge not POUNCE. Gah it drives me nuts when people say they pounce it. Tigers pounce. Sponges bounce.
I love a retro inspired look on you, it's soooo beautiful with your classic good looks! I just wore a super bright red lip just like this one for the first time. I've always been too intimidated to try it before, but it was somehow empowering and made me feel more sophisticated. I think it would be fun if you did a makeup playdate using products that have been sent to you from subscribers through the years. I love all your videos, so I'll watch you do anything! :)
Absolutely lovely look - there's just something so elegant about those classic/retro looks (I also find a bronzer-free look more youthful on my pale blue person complexion) - I really really like the grey toned eye shadows! You asked about fave pencil liners - mine are by far the Eye of Horus ones... black, brown, white, nude & some gorgeous jewel colours (plus till they set and go budge-proof, they're nicely smudgeable so they make for great shadows and shadow bases too). They have great brow pencils too. And they're Aussie!! Actually I wouldn't mind seeing another playdate with Oz products (I think you did one a year or so back), but it'd be great to see if there's some newer good Aussie stuff around - either budget-friendly "drugstore" (or pharmacy for us LOL) which is my preference or higher end.
I’m Canadian! 🤓 Thank you for doing this! They are drugstore so it’s really hit and miss but they do have some great products... Annabelle’s blushes are awesome and Marcelle has a new lipgloss that is so pigmented! Have a great weekend!
Beautiful as always! MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NW10 has been my HG foundation for years but lately I've been reaching for the YSL All Hours in BR10, which is almost identical in color. It's also very skin-like when applied with a sponge and can be sheered out or built to full coverage. I just feel it lasts longer than the MAC one lately.
@@ArnaAlayneMorton B10 is definitely more yellow on me but I have a strong pink undertone which is why BR10 and NW10 work better for me. I've been working 12+ hour days lately and sometimes have a client meeting afterwards and the YSL just lasts longer for me.
@@ArnaAlayneMorton Agreed! I have extremely sensitive and reactive skin and usually avoid added fragrance but for some reason YSL products are the only ones don't irritate me.
I haven’t experimented with many Canadian drug store brands, probably because I don’t know where to start. But I really want to try out that brow pencil now. Thank you for showing this, it’s a beautiful colour. 😊🇨🇦
My favorite brand is Marcelle it's more like a Cover Girl like brand and Annabelle is more like a Wet & Wild kinda brand a lot of hit and miss but for the price it's worth trying. If you have any question's Canadian and Cruelty Free makeup are my specialty's.
Yay all the love from Canada! There was a special edition mac lipstick for Canada's 150th, a very nice red called Proud To Be A Canadian, I've worn it every July 1st since I got it 😀🇨🇦🇨🇦
If you're a wind player, I just wouldn't wear it. It's not worth it to damage your reeds. But if you must, the only thing I've been told is okay sometimes is a lip stain like Benefit Benetint x
The look, the music, the vibe... I just love your content. If this turned into a series, l would definitely not mind. You could do continents or countries and even feature the most common makeup look of a certain region, e. g. Korean inspired makeup tutorial feat. Korean makeup products. I'm here for Europe if you need something sent. High-end stuff is mostly available online but drugstore could be a pain to get. PS If it's not too much to ask, could you possibly list the brushes in the description box? I feel like they play an important role in the outcome of any look.
Thanks!! I've done a French & Italian look before but it wasn't using products from those countries, more just the general makeup vibe :) I could definitely do a Korean one as I've been gathering quite the stash haha! Also, here is a video with all my favourite brushes! I often use the same ones in every makeup video xx th-cam.com/video/J2u6roZPDwk/w-d-xo.html
Perfect timing for me. heading to Canada on hols and looking to check out some Canadian brands. If anyone has other recommendations would love to hear them.
I live in Canada and while I have used Annabel my fair share over the years, I have to say I always considered Marcelle is more a high-end drug store picks. Make-up alone here is expensive in itself. Most Foundations range even at the drug store 10-20 dollars or 7-15$ at Walmart. Its why I gave mac a try after seeing you try NC-10...I figured if I'm shelling out money I might as well get the good stuff. But as the comments below. I have Born to be Canadian Mac lipstick it's gorgeous. I think they still sell it here as well.
I agree! I think I preferred what I tried from Marcelle over the Annabelle products so makes sense the price reflects that! And yes we have the same issue in Australia where our drugstore prices are very high in comparison to high end, which is why I use and feature a lot of high end makeup - it’s really not that much more so I’m like “meh, worth it” haha
@@ArnaAlayneMorton Yep. Annabel can be hit and miss like most make up. But they always have good coloured liners and they had some good pigments that I tried over the years as well. As for Mac Studio Fluid is 35$ Cad here, (and double gleam is 39$). Which is a decent price, most Sephora foundation are 40$ and over, and since I don't wear much makeup when working in the Ballet Company Wardrobe during the seasons. Because who really wants to put make up on at 7 am when you have to be at work for 8am! As for the lippy, it's still available on the MAC Canadian site, and I think it saw it in store. If you ever interested in it, I can always hunt one down for you.
I can toss a brow pencil or two in the next package I send I always have at least 2 spares it's my all time favorite brow pencil. I really liked the look I always like you in the vintage looks.
Hi there! Do you have any idea where the breakouts are coming from? I am dealing with the same breakouts and once they are gone they are popping back up :( Doing my best not to touch them but I hate the texture of breakouts. 😪
For me it’s most definitely hormonal imbalance because of the location (chin/jaw). I suggest looking up acne face mapping to try and find a possible cause, but also talk to your doctor about it :)
Stunning! As far as pencils, I rarely use them and am pretty natural when it comes to my brows. I do like NYX’s Micro Brow Pencil. I’ve recently discovered a new brow product. It’s the Em Brow Cream. The formula is amazing. It really slows you to totally skip the pencil. Thanks for sharing the gorgeous look🍃🌸.
@@ArnaAlayneMorton Maybe if MAC was still Canadian-owned, there would be some new ideas instead of a series of reminiscing on the good old times in some variations over and over again.
I always pass over these brands, only because I used them so many years ago I must have moved on......but really I should revisit them again 🇨🇦💋 thx for sharing
As a Canadian, I really appreciated and loved that you did a Canadian brand video. You should do a series with other countries.
That would be such a great idea!! I can easily do British since I’m going to the Uk in 6 weeks time :)
@@ArnaAlayneMorton Also they sell a bunch of German and French makeup in the UK.
@@ArnaAlayneMorton There is also Kiko stores in the UK - Italian makeup. I love their Fall 2.0 Mascara it has a tiny wand and is so easy to use.
If you need products from Germany, I can help :)
I can send you swedish makeup if you want to!
I love the old school glam!
The finished look is beyond gorgeous!! So in love with it!
Thank you ♥️🥰
O Canada! 🇨🇦 My Canadian heart is so humbled that you would spotlight our domestic brands. Annabelle makes my go to eyeliner. Great job Arna!!!
Lise Watier is another high end brand owned by the Marcelle group.
Thank you!! Yes I saw that when I went to create the links!

The Perfect Blush in the shade Rose Fawn by Annabelle is one of the best blushes ever made.
How did you do your hair?
I love the eye of horus eye liners. They have wax so they stay really well.
I’ve used them in the past and they were really great!

I used my GhD Straighteners :)
No kidding! I almost have to use a curling iron because my hair is so long lol.
Beautiful look! x
Omg beautiful. That look is so amazingly perfect on you. XOXO

I love the L.A Girl Gel Eyeliner Pencil for tight lining, and the Rimmel Scandaleyes for other uses!
