I completely agree. I feel like this is the best "normal" Tre I'll ever see, otherwise I think of him from the 2005 concert in England(?) when they played Brain Stew, lol.
He has his own sound, as in, he came to it himself, and most likely didn't have much influence when finding his sound. I'm totally sure other drummers have the same sound, he's just saying he didn't get any ideas form anyone.
I only live about 15 minutes from all the members. They are members of the same country club I go to and I got to swim with tré and we were the only ones in the pool, it was sick. I also saw billy a couple times just relaxing.
Wow, it's extremely amazing that you record without metronome Tré. It's actually very hard for me to keep a steady beat. I wish that Tré Cool is my private drum teacher... Damn!!!!
I just think he's matured over the years. I still think he goes crazy when he's playing live with Green Day. He's more matured during interviews nowadays though.
The album that Tré was talking about is called Principle of Moments by Robert Plant. The best selling single "Big Log" is featured in Grand Theft Auto V.
I love how he talks about Phil Collins and Robert plant. It's cool to see him not act silly, but my suggestion to the ppl in the comments is that the main take away is tre's passion.
"It's not that hard, man. It's just drumming." Stewart Copeland said something similar, and, as a drummer, it remains a mystery to me that drumming is somehow 'just drumming'.. That said, I appreciate that it comes easily to some people.
This infuriates me so much. Drumming seems to be something some people can just do, like its in their DNA or something. I have a friend who had never played an instrument in his life, and I put him behind a kit and we got through a 5 song set of Ramones covers. I know its not the most technical stuff, but this man had literally never played any kind of musical instrument before this, and he was doing fucking good. Crashes were consistent, his bass and snare were nearly always perfectly in beat, he even kept a steady hi-hat going. Meanwhile I've been practicing for months and still find myself losing the rhythm now and there.
Tré's definitely calmed down quite a bit in recent years, if you watch him in The Early Years and in that documentary he did with Anthony Bordain, he's a little more subdued. Cool to see he's such a refined and levelheaded dude under all his wildness but I sincerely hope he's not losing his energy in any way...
I find it kind of funny when punk bands play with click's because you almost think can they even keep on time with out it, also what he said about laying a solid drum foundation for a song and then add to it. I saw and interview with Jordan Burns from Strung Out and they asked what would be good advice for a drummer and he said become a solid drummer first and worry about all the flash later.
Hello, been trying to figure out a way to give Tre's Brown bomber jacket that he left at a party in Pinole, Ca. It was years ago and before they were famous. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it! Tried searching online, there were several but how do I know it'll get to him. Ty for your time.
call their agent.. shouldn't be too hard to find their details either online or from their record company. Or you could go to a concert and give it back there!
Tre used to play live to a click but it was only for Boulevard of Broken Dreams. once they dropped the tremolo part of the song, he stopped wearing headphones that played a click
Not sure who plays the boulevard of broken dreams 2 note and the intro part live. Always thought it was pre recorded as Tre wears earphones in some of the live stuff I've seen and there's only Billie and Jason on stage with guitars. Judging by this they must have someone playing it live though as Tre insists they play everything live.
How is Phil Collin's kit big? it is rather small,it is only 7 drums...tre has a five piece kit standard kit...so OOoo WOW Phil's kit has only 2 more drums ...and that somehow equals really big kit to them? and the phrase "wouldn't know what to do with that kit,its crazy"....they have strange thinking to say the least
He sing in Green Day tho, you can clearly hear his voice on Dominated Love Slave, All By My Self, D.U.I. (Driving Under The Influence) and Rock N' Roll Girlfriend (part of Homecoming on American Idiot) 😉🤘🏻😵
He is trying to be sirouse XD where's Mike Dirnt he's the sirouseish one out of green day not Tré XD Tré is like me trys to be sirouse but just can't XD
Tré is silently screaming inside trying to contain his wildness
+Green Day MC Haha that's what I was thinking.
Brendan King is that Shane?
Same
I love how under this 'crazy drummer' persona, Tré is actually a really down to earth, passionate musician. It's almost a shock
I completely agree. I feel like this is the best "normal" Tre I'll ever see, otherwise I think of him from the 2005 concert in England(?) when they played Brain Stew, lol.
Its fuckin awesome
I realize Im kind of off topic but does anyone know of a good website to stream newly released tv shows online ?
It's so weird seeing Tre act like a normal human being for once.
***** or something like that
***** weed*
True
and no eyeliner after years
so rude, and so true
Tre is so right when he says he has his own sound, like yes man, no one's ever gonna be you.
He has his own sound, as in, he came to it himself, and most likely didn't have much influence when finding his sound. I'm totally sure other drummers have the same sound, he's just saying he didn't get any ideas form anyone.
I guess you never heard his 1yr old play 😂
This is the calmest I have ever seen him act in any interview. And I have seen A LOT of interviews.
Tre's never gonna stop being Cool hahaha
I love Trés voice
Who doesn't love his voice 😍😍🤤🤤 I can listen to him talk all day
I met Tre today. He had some drinks and breakfast at my bar. Super nice dude. Very chill. Come back to the timbers bar sometime dude!
Should I congrat you or be jealous of you
@@primalaspid8717 anyway it would be four years to late. Lol
Legendary
Im jealous
"I know. I'll get an interview with a great drummer and just wing it."
The interviewer is such a fan boy XD
Tre is trying so hard to just look normal😂
+Kayla Follett - Monk thats why he's struggling to find words
Kayla Follett-Monk he is just like my guitar teacher
He's about to unleash the beast.
I only live about 15 minutes from all the members. They are members of the same country club I go to and I got to swim with tré and we were the only ones in the pool, it was sick. I also saw billy a couple times just relaxing.
Harrison Little lucky
Harrison Little This has got to be a fucking lie dude. I can't believe this shit
Did you touch weiners?

Tre trying his hardest not to do something stupid and be normal 😂
xX BillieMikeTre Xx hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahaha I agree
• scottish idiot nation • literally you're the only Scottish person I know on youtube
• scottish idiot nation • but I'm a Scot to
so true, this is the first time he's never been weird or crazy lol, hardly recognized him. Even his hair is so plain here
"trying not to step on anyone's weiners"
he had to say at least one weird thing
Wow, it's extremely amazing that you record without metronome Tré. It's actually very hard for me to keep a steady beat. I wish that Tré Cool is my private drum teacher... Damn!!!!
Right
Really
Yasill Hokly I don't use metronome
Sarcasm??
He's obviously practised with metronomes, as he has great time. That comes from practise and good rhythm.
tre cool=best drummer alive
If that's what you think then you need to listen to other drummers.
i know but i'm a big fan of green day of course
its my own choice
Have you not heard of Neil Peart?
The old breaking benjamin drummer?
spacecookie234 yes he is
He's voice is still naturally high it's just got deeper over the years. Its weird seeing him not like jumping over things and yelling...
Yeah he sounded like a little kid in All By Myself
im in love with his nose
David Reynolds loll whattt
Who isn't? Hes such an attractive man
am. a. big. fan. of. tre. cool.
I Love this man so much! XD
It was cool meeting you at NAMM Tre'!! Hope to see you down the road!! You too Brent!:)
If I ran into Tre I honestly don't know what I would do
I didn't know Tre was capable of acting normal
I just think he's matured over the years. I still think he goes crazy when he's playing live with Green Day. He's more matured during interviews nowadays though.
Ya, well he's closer to 50 now so he can't get away with it as much
Ikr....
Nor did I damn
The album that Tré was talking about is called Principle of Moments by Robert Plant. The best selling single "Big Log" is featured in Grand Theft Auto V.
Cool story bro
One of the best drummers ❤️ not just drumming to keep the beat but he adds musical beauty to tracks ❤️ his drumming in Dookie is so bloody amazing 😱❤️
He was always silly in school in Laytonville california.
Really amazing and smart drummer!
Tre is so cool. Lol his style of drumming is my favorite. That’s why i look up to him and drum like him . I use rack toms tho . Sorry tre
Tre Cool is what I call a "very efficient" drummer. He's usually the flamboyant type and here he was very cool and humble. Congrats!
I love how he talks about Phil Collins and Robert plant. It's cool to see him not act silly, but my suggestion to the ppl in the comments is that the main take away is tre's passion.
We love Tre!! Green Day drummer Tre Cool plays with Flashback Heart Attack
"It's not that hard, man. It's just drumming." Stewart Copeland said something similar, and, as a drummer, it remains a mystery to me that drumming is somehow 'just drumming'.. That said, I appreciate that it comes easily to some people.
Yeah it totally is. it's just drumming. It's very natural to me, I never have to think about anything when I play
This infuriates me so much. Drumming seems to be something some people can just do, like its in their DNA or something. I have a friend who had never played an instrument in his life, and I put him behind a kit and we got through a 5 song set of Ramones covers. Not sure who plays the boulevard of broken dreams 2 note and the intro part live. He sing in Green Day tho, you can clearly hear his voice on Dominated Love Slave, All By My Self, D.U.I. (Driving Under The Influence) and Rock N' Roll Girlfriend (part of Homecoming on American Idiot) 😉🤘🏻😵
