How long does it takes to get your VISA after your interview and I guess there is courier facility to get your passport with VISA delivered at a particular address?
They say you will get your passport within a 7 days. However I got it in 2 days. Yes there is a facility to get you passport delivered to your address, but that is for an extra fee of ₹650.
He should have avoided car parking , pigeons & other thing un necessary. Just to the point . It’s easy , if you are telling fearlessly n honestly, no one can stop your visa

You should carry the ds160 form that is linked to the appointment confirmation. The ds160 number on your appointment confirmation is the one. If you want to take the new ds160 you will have to book a new appointment corresponding to that.

Thanks for the wishes. To answer your question, I don't feel there is some called a 'best' counter. I feel just be confident, prepare well for all the important questions and that's all. You will get your visa approved as well.
I guess the safest and most convenient would be to book an ola/Uber. However it can be expensive around 200 to 300 rupees but I would recommend that. Or you could also book a rickshaw to save some money. Hope this helps. All the best.

Hi Sharan, thanks for the wishes. The time largely depends on how many other candidates are there with you and how long is your interview. For me the process took 25 to 30 mins.
@@srikanthbasani9999 so if your interview is at 9am, you should reach the consulate at 8.00 or 8.15am. They will mostly let you in by 8.30am. Now depending on the other candidates that have the same 9.00am time slot you will have to stand in the line. For me I almost took 15 to 20mins to get to the counters where the interviews take place. After thay depending on the visa officer your interview can be about 1min to 5mins mostly. So according to the above logic, if you enter at 8.30 ... you should be out by max 9.00am. Say you come out by 9.30am (worst case senario), now from the consulate to airport it might take 30 mins , if there is traffic maybe 45mins. So you should be at the airport at 10.15am. If your flight is at 11am, you should reach atleast 1 hour early. That is 10am. According to me this is possible, but if you have some other option i would recommend, not to buy this flight, as it can be hectic at times. In Mumbai you cannot trust the traffic. Incase you don't have any other option only then go for it.

Since you have booked your appointment, you may have paid the MRV fees. Thats all. They will not charge any extra money after that. You don't require any medical things. If you are above 18 years of age, guardian cannot come along with you. You have to go alone inside. However the guardian can wait outside the building.

1) No you don't need photos they will take your photo at the consulate during biometrics appointment. 2) i20 is a document given by the US university stating the course and other details for which you have got the admit. 3) there is a big list of documents and it changes from person to person i would recommend you to watch a video from ymgrad for this. 4) I am not sure when the Passport is delivered as I didn't take this service, I was called to collect the Passport after 3 days from my interview date.
You can but i would recommend you to take the harmonium folder as all the documents can be systematically arranged in it. But any folder you take remember it should only contain the documents.

Depends on when you get a slot. After I20 there is a whole process to first fill your ds160 pay your SEVIS fee and then book an appointment. Appointments are book based on availability.
So when you get an admit from a US university, the university gives you a i-20, this is a legal document that mentions your name the course you are going for the university name and the financial details.
The SEVIS fee reciept, when you go to the US for studying you have to pay the SEVIS fee which is basically student exchange fee, once you pay that you will have to take the printout of the reciept.
You can put the exact address that is in the appointment confirmation. The US consulate is opposite trident hotel. Or you can also put fountain of joy dirubhai ambani, it's besides it.
So in the instructions mentioned it says that it has to be a transparent folder, however, I found a lot of candidates having a non transparent folder and i didn't see anyone objecting it. I personally would recommend a transparent folder. A smart watch is not allowed, a simple watch may be fine. But i did not take any watch so I am not very sure about this.
Just the interviewer is American. All others including the staff and security officers are Indians so mostly they communicate in hindi. Just the interview will be in english.
I got rejected it was going well but they asked me have you applied For Canada studies and said yes I did. She checked the biometric sticker at back of passport. I thought it was done but 😣
They did ask me about my major. I told them that I am going to do Phd in Biomedical Engineering. And that was all. Nope in my case they did not ask me what i was doing. I guess because of the full scholarship, they acctually did not ask me a lot of questions

So while booking appointment there is an option to select your language of interview. Interviewers are Americans so its very less probable that they know hindi however, if you select hindi as your language preference i guess they have a translator that translates the language.

So while booking appointment there is an option to select your language of interview. Interviewers are Americans so its very less probable that they know hindi however, if you select hindi as your language preference i guess they have a translator that translates the language.

I am not sure, there is a metal detector there so they will mostly tell you to remove it. I recommend not wearing anything of that sort.
