Hi! I have a question. I have two BOLD runs of resting-state fMRI data for the same subject, and I want to combine them into a single BOLD run. I’ve tried using FSL’s fslmerge by time, but it doesn’t seem like the best approach. Would it be advisable to combine the two BOLD runs before preprocessing? If so, what would be the best method to do this?
@@LouisaSuting I would have written a Matlab script to do that. However, could you tell me why do you think fsl merge by time isnt the best approach ?

Is this useful for localizing and lateralizing the epileptogenic zone in a perfusion-weighted image (generated using ASL MRI)?
I have not worked with ASL MRI images, but if you can compute a Functional connectivity (FC) matrix. It would be interesting to see if you can use the FC for brain fingerprinting or any other use as mentioned by you.

For transformation matrix is it A equals to transpose of eigen vectors or just the values of eigen vectors based on lamda 1 greater than lamda 2??
@@DhruthiTamirisa-j6y its the eigen vectors, not the eigen values ... now based on the amount of compression thats desired .. ne can choose the number of eigen vectors .. in this example there is only 2 eigen vectors so choosing 1 eigen vector corresponding to the maximum eigen value would mean that the image is compressed and choosing both would mean no compression.
how much total time did it take from 8:50 am??

One thing I observed is that they allow phones inside but no other electronic devices. I had to keep my smart watch in the locker. Above is for Chennai VAC
I guess this is new, they did not allow it earlier.
Crisp and well explained
simple and straightforward to understand.. thanks brooo
This is helping me a lot! One thing to ask is that, I co-registered my T1 to EPI image, unlike what you did (EPI to T1). So, I thought my deformation file contains information transforming T1 to EPI. If that's the case, how is it used for normalization? Since, normalization warps EPI to MNI, isn't the deformation info. for T1 to EPI unnecessary?
Hey, I am glad this helped you. TO answer your question, the co-registeration does not create the deformation field. Segmentation creates the deformation field. Since segmentation is always done on the anatomical image, the defomation field is always from anatomical space to MNI space, hence co-registeration of the EPI and anatomical T1 image is important. Hope this answers your question.
